Mediocre Field Trip - Periscope later today!

Our permission slips are all filled out and @MEHcus, @hollboll, @galmaegi, and I are taking a trip to the zoo!

We'll be at the Dallas Zoo in a few hours and Periscoping sometime after that, keep an eye on our Twitter for the announcement and we'll post a link here.

Hey y'all! So it turns out that a lot of the animals are sleeping and/or not very exciting to watch. Who knew!?

We're heading to the other half of the zoo and hopefully we get luckier with some more interesting animals so the stream should start soon.

Can I just say thank you for this trip. My son is 5 and has carried his FaFa (stuffed animal giraffe) around with him his whole life. His ENTIRE room is nothing but giraffes. He even has a 5" stuffed giraffe next to his bed (not real). He enjoyed watching you kids feed those giraffes soooooo much! Great Trip.

- @mfladd For us, it's pigs. The 9 year old has been obsessed some he was 4. He quit eating pork around that time as well. His room is full of plush pigs, from tiny to huge. But none quite as big as 5" ;)

- @jaremelz Yea I had to correct that. I didn't want everyone thinking we made him sleep on a towel or anything. Pigs are cool - we got some from wOOt with battery powered wings - I love them.

- @mfladd It dramatically cut down on our pork consumption for awhile because the cold, hard stares of disappointment from him. But eventually, I had to tell him that although I love him, I also love bacon.

I had motherfucking, mandatory, goddamned interactive training, with the boss maybe sitting six feet away. And once when I was gonna just check in--I swear I'd muted everything--the sound came on. So not only did I miss all but a nanosecond, I embarrassed myself. It wasn't so bad though. People routinely have their ringers on in meetings around here. Anyway, someone call me one of these, while I go check out the recording now.

- @MEHcus Ha. The Forney Jackrabbits (I actually knew this; one of my other favorite people in Texas is from Forney). Forney Jackrabbits is a pretty awesome pairing.
