@ruouttaurmind Turbo. I tend to drive small cars and also like to get good gas mileage sometimes. Add nitrous for quick spooling and ridiculousness maybe?

That reminds me of the nitrous purge I created for a friend’s SRT-4 way back in the day. It was a bucksnort through the ram emblem’s nostrils with red LED light in the eyes. We made a video and went viral before viral (or even YouTube) was a thing.

@djslack You are correct, smaller engines definitely do better with turbo and tend to bog under the load of a supercharger.

Once electric motor driven turbos become a feasible option, I’ll probably change my position. But until then I’m sticking with supercharger. Good fit for the large CI V8s I usually build around. And a more aesthetic fit for the fenderless, hoodless hot rods. A turbocharged hot rod motor just looks off to my eye. I’ve looked into twincharged, but that takes the complexity to another level.

@ruouttaurmind Turbocharger is superior at altitude. Especially aircraft altitude.
