I was hoping this was the USB-C earbuds. My daughter is using the set of those from the last time they were for sale with a Pixel 3. They have been far more reliable than I expected.
I’m tempted to get the on ear ones as a backup. I purchased them the last time Meh offered them and I think they are terrific. Great sound. Not too heavy. And really easy to use.
My only complaint is I can’t quite figure out how to use the intuitive user interface on the ear piece. There’s some trick to skipping songs that I can get 4 times out of 10. I guess I don’t intuit well.
@pricciar there’s like a particular rhythm to it. It’s a longer time between the taps than you need to, let’s say, double click an icon on windows. You also gotta use 2 fingers, that took me a bit to figure out - but it’s nice because it prevents you from pausing your music when you’re just adjusting/brush against it.
@octa I’ll keep that in mind for next time! I do like using the ear piece for pause, and volume control. But, I could never get the timing right for skipping songs.
It’s a petty complaint, I don’t mind listening to the whole song. And, half the time I’m listening to a podcast anyhow.
Also, the fact that they turn off when you take them off is a really cool feature. They’re reading my mind.
Have I convinced myself to get another pair, AND a copy of Quicken since I need to do my taxes? MAYBE.
I am weary. I love the Libratone speakers. But I fell for the trap of getting the eltrostatic headphones from meh a while back and they are muffled garbage. And with no return policy, I am afraid of buying garbage again….
@Num1Zero I have the white ones, they are pretty great. Noise canceling doesn’t cancel the bark of my GSD, but it cancels out the husband…so I feel like it’s a good trade off.
@Num1Zero I bought the Libratone Q Adapt In-Ear USB-C when they were offered. The sound is surprisingly good. In fact they have become my favorite for listening to music on my phone. I especially like that they don’t need to be charged because they are wired.
@heartny@Num1Zero you would really really like the Bluetooth ones. Especially if you like Libratone. I don’t regret a penny spent. I know the electrostatic headphones out are talking about and they are known to be finicky and have manufacturing issues…not so with the Lib’s.
@Num1Zero electrostatic headphones needs a long time to “burn” before sounding real good. Give it a try: leave them to play continuously for at least a few hours: they should improve considerably
@Num1Zero I actually have both of these and they are pretty solid choices for the money. The over the ear ones are not my preferred sound (I prefer neutral and these are SLIGHTLY more bass heavy than neutral) but you can’t come close to this quality for the price. I do mean SLIGHTLY more bass heavy, not beats heavy.
Just wanted to chime in and say that I got the black over the ear ones yesterday. I charged them up and compared them to my Bose headphones and they are great in comparison. My only concern is that on ear headphones tend to be less comfortable over time compared to over the ear. For the price I would totally recommend them.
I’ve been waiting for this. Bought the in ear / lightening ones a while ago and they are proly the best ones I own. Terrific base and all around sound
@blaineg I think it’s something called quick connect? It’s a feature that if you have certain devices it will be way faster to connect with bluetooth. You turn on the headphones and they pop up immediately on the screen to connect to, with no need to go in and pair, yada yada. It works great on my pixel, I don’t know if it works on other android phones but I’d assume so.
@radi0j0hn Ease of charging. Every other device I use is USB-C or Lightning. microUSB is the worst connector ever made, it can only go two ways, yet 105% of the time it takes 3-4 tries.
I bought in-ear Libratone’s here with Audio Lightning connector. It worked on my iPad Mini but not my iPhone 7. I contacted support and received a response in 2 days. It was a pre-arranged standard response - check connector outlet on iPhone for lint. I explained to the support person that the not compatible message would not have shown up if there were lint in the outlet. No response, sent a photo of the iPhone with the ear buds connected and the message on the screen, still no response, just an opportunity to answer a survey on how bad my support experience was. Beware!
These are great for canceling noise and hearing online conversations or music… I appreciate there are multiple levels of noise cancelation. I use a pair and I bought a pair for one of my engineers to use it Data Centers. He is also pleased with their functionality.
I paid more and am happy with that.
ordered these for my mom as a sort of Late mother’s day gift. Ordered on Thursday 5/13, Shipped on Sat 5/15, arrived today, Monday 5/17…
that’s gotta be a record…
These things slip right off my head with a simple movement like looking up. Trying to figure out how I can wear 'em and do normal activities. Got them to walk and chat or listen to podcasts. Can’t believe that it’s actually going to work for me. le sigh

I can’t hear you!
Why not virgotone for my virgin ears?
OH MY GOD THEY CANNED GLEN!!!
I was hoping this was the USB-C earbuds. My daughter is using the set of those from the last time they were for sale with a Pixel 3. They have been far more reliable than I expected.
@Fodder650 you can get a little adapter to go from usb-a?(the original one) to C like 3 for $5 on amazon maybe
@Fodder650 you can still find those at morningsave (which is a sister site of meh) for a few bucks more (29$ I think)
@Fodder650 I stand corrected: 39
@salpo Oh cool thanks. If she breaks hers then I can get a second set.

@pricciar I guess you have to be intuit.
@mehcuda67 @pricciar Does that mean I have to buy a copy of Quicken for it to work?

Who knew Twitter branded on-ear headphones? Well, apparently no one, and thus they show up on Meh.

@kerryzero Hell yeah!

MEH = LIBRATONE STORE!
I have the in-ear model, they’re really quite good. Tempted to score another as a backup in case I break them, though they seem petty durable too.

What on earth is the unexplained “Google option available”?

Almost bought a pair, but microUSB for charging? What year is this, 2015?
Close! Launched January 2017, but hey at least they’re not $250 anymore
@KENSAI And this is sooo important why???
@radi0j0hn Ease of charging. Every other device I use is USB-C or Lightning. microUSB is the worst connector ever made, it can only go two ways, yet 105% of the time it takes 3-4 tries.

Can you use the ON ear ones with your phone? It doesn’t say it has a microphone.
@smartgurrl Being a solitary podcast/music listener I can’t say I ever used it to make/take phone calls (I had to look it up to see if it even could.) But, yeah you can use it with your phone on calls. (specs here: https://www.libratone.com/us/products/headphones/q-adapt-on-ear/product-details/)
Great! Thanks @rogerbacon!
They’re called “Q” because of who whispers subliminal messages in your ear. Beware!
@tarpaper Has Q ever been that subtle?
