Last Mediocritee Monday of 2021
10I mean, I can’t say this is more important than any other Mediocritee Monday just because I won’t be able to share another before the end of the year, but at the same time, new designs!
This week we look back fondly on physical media that has seen the end of its lifecycle and poke fun at all you robots who can’t seem to beat the CAPTCHA. (I’m looking at you IRK hunters.)
I love that vinyl records aren’t considered a dead medium even though there was a near 20-year gap in popularity. I got a new record for Christmas, so maybe we can keep that dream alive for just a little longer.
Pop over to the Mediocritee forum and share your best “dead medium” comment and check out the shirts while you’re there.

As a fellow robot, I understand your pain.
Methinks I need both!

The CD is not completely dead, there are still some of us Cro-Magnons who Want Bloody Physical Media when we buy music. (But the terawatt laser with autotargeting for the front yard has really been more entertaining than I thought it would be.)
@werehatrack I agree about physical media for music as well as books.
So far, the gags are gag-inducing.
Like this week’s stuff. I’ll think about it.
@ExtraMedium
Wish you would offer digital on-demand reprints.
Missed out on ordering both “flight path” shirts. Still love those, would order now if I could. Maybe even more than one each if those designs.
Many if your recent designs aren’t for me, but … would order some old meh and flask and other "site shirts” if could.
Best dead medium:

@phendrick That is Jeane Dixon. After Texas A&M’s football team had lost their first four games in 1967, and then won their next one or two (I just don’t recall which), it was reported that she had predicted they would win out the rest of the season. They did just that, going 6 and 4! Then they went on to win the Cotton Bowl game against Alabama (which she made no predictions about, that I ever heard.)

I was always impressed by that. (Coincidence or dumb luck?) i tried following her predictions after that, but they weren’t so impressive.
