Just wanted to say THANKS FOR THE WEBCAM!
20After changing our ISP I had to change the wifi settings on the cheap Chinese webcam I was using in my infant’s room. Part of this process involves holding in the reset button with a pin.
After dozens of attempts with no luck I discovered I was pushing the pin into the microphone hole and not the reset button hole. CRAP! I finally figured it out but now the sound output from that webcam is a constant high pitched squealing noise making it pretty much useless.
$20 down the drain. Good thing I didn’t buy a good one… oh well shit happens. Anyway the next day I was going to purchase a replacement when LO AND BEHOLD my fuku shows up at the front porch!
And what did it contain? Well other than a crappy DVD of the movie “April Fools”, a crappy MEH sticker, a crappy Bidet and some crappy KAPOW fly swatters (OK those are pretty nifty)… it had an AWESOME 720p Motorola Webcam, which seems to be working pretty great so far!

Glad you got something cool & useful…After the few 1000$ spent here and whole room devoted to all my MEH stuff and a lot of trying still haven’t nabbed a fuku yet!!! I’m a glass half full guy so I got high hopes…

@bigtom67 If it helps any last night I discovered that its night vision is truly crappy. Good enough to make sure the kid is OK but only barely so. But still I gotta say… I’ve been pretty lucky. I’ve only scored a couple of fukus here (this being the only “decent” one) but I nabbed several Bags O’ Crap back before WOOT got bought out and my very first one arrived… containing a 24" 1920X1200 computer monitor! And to this day it still works great!
Honestly though back then woot offs were truly a magical thing. It almost felt like Christmas, hitting all the best parts of the pleasure centers of my brain… never knowing when a BOC was going to show up or when something actually worthy of buying would appear.
We had so much fun in the message boards and on Woot chatrooms trying to anticipate what the next item would be and whatnot. Although the mehrathon kind of touched on that a bit it still wasn’t the same. Honestly I don’t think anything could ever be like that again.
And that’s OK. I’m older now. I have a family now. A career. I don’t have time to sit in front of my computer for hours on end anymore. All I can expect out of this place is to hopefully find a decent deal from time to time and to enjoy my nostalgic memories of what this all once used to be.
So, you got a webcam. Now shake that moneymaker!
