Flex nothing…WAIT, I do need a new pair of headphones for airplane rides. Reviews are decent on these. Might be worthy at this price with an included case. Anyone recommend these?
@Stallion I couldn’t imagine using anything but noise cancelling headphones for flying. (And no, I’m not paying Bose prices - there are plenty of options).
Ah, I miss the good old days of buying unnecessary quantities of over-ear headphones on Meh, only to find that without fail they’re too small for my prodigious cranium (and worse when I’m wearing glasses). I mean, to judge from the pictures, that blonde woman’s head is as tiny as Irk’s!
They say, “JLab Audio warrants that our products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product.” That “life of the product” can be interpreted as once the product dies, the life of the product is over. Strange they don’t say the lifetime of the customer.
They also state that they only cover manufacturing defects. So if you drop the headphones and they break, that’s not covered.
If you have a covered warranty issue, they will give you store credit and you have to pay for the shipping back to them.
The product also has to be purchased from an “Authorized Retailer” to be covered under their warranty and be from the original customer.
@Stallion As someone who sells items with various warranties, a “Limited” Lifetime warranty is useless.
The only time it ever applies is if the item was on fire inside the box, but the box had not been damaged during shipment.
Lifetime also applies to the item, not to you. So the manufacturer can totally decide the lifetime of their product is 1 year and you basically have a 1 year warranty.
You always have to read the terms of a lifetime warranty, not just the “Lifetime” part.
Does Mfi mean that it is a lightning cable? I purchased and then canceled because I don’t need another pair of crappy headphones…I’ll consider crappy headphones if they have a lightning cable.
@densa There’s not one single image or statement anywhere showing a lightning connector. Seems they’re simply ‘compatible’ with Apple so those of us with 7/7+'s would need the adapter.
@densa it is strange the specs don’t explicitly state something like “3.5mm plug/connector”.
Apple MFi certification applies to more than the Lightning and 30-pin connector itself.
It covers a range of Apple licensed functionality. In this case I’m guessing it applies to the mic/media controls on the Apple version headphone cable.
@RedOak I totally agree. I did a quick purchase and then started doing due diligence and figured out that Mfi doesn’t mean lightning cable and canceled it.
I’m looking for noise canceling headphones to listen to podcasts while I mow the grass. I know nothing about headphones. Does anyone know if these would work for that purpose?
Just remember, cheaper noise canceling headphones work best when canceling rhythmic sounds (like your lawnmower or a plane’s engines) but they don’t tend to cancel more random sounds like someone talking.
My first meh purchase in 188 days. My previous phones lost the right speaker 2 months ago. Tonight I was using my wifes’ airplane headphones to listen to anything that might cover “Hillbillies surviving in Alaska” (probably not the actual program name) coming from the tv. I was obviously at my lowest point, looking for headphones in all the wrong places. At least this will be used… unlike my last meh purchase: CyberPower 175W Power Inverter… still in a box somewhere.
I like using DJ style headphones at work. When listening to some droning webex/skype telecom on the PC while on mute… I can keep one ear open to not be completely startled when a co-worker wants to talk to me.
Yeah, “eco leather”… at least it’s better than “vegan leather”… funny how I’ve never considered petroleum based products to be neither “eco” or “vegan”.
@stinks Irk is technically wearing them correctly. The hinges are toward the back of the head. It’s just the image they used was reversed so the ‘R’ is on the wrong side.
In March we took the kids on our first ever family cruise. I loaded up two kindles (yes, I took a backup) and had visions of reading books on deck and sipping pina coladas. Then the boat started to move.
Fortunately I had two boxes of seasickness pills, a hundred hours of downloaded audio books, and a pair of these headphones that I got on Morningsave for $39. So I sat on deck in gale force winds and listened to “No Country for Old Men” while watching the waves kick up. They totally saved my vacation. We didn’t make it to our first port and they cancelled all tours and most of the shows but I got to read my books, sort of. I wore these headphones for hours at a time and they were still comfortable. Maybe I should buy another pair.
I briefly considered these, then realized that they are mobile-centric. They would be more useful for “DJ” (or computer) use if they had a headphone/microphone splitter adapter.
But I guess most real DJs would use a professional mic anyway, and the plug on this will stick in most headphone jacks (or 1/8"-1/4" adapters, which this also does not include, since I think most pro equipment still uses 1/4" jacks) and just ignore the mic.
My main use for headphones is computer-based web conferences, and most computers still use separate headphone and microphone jacks.
We will hold out for the return of the cube blue tooth speakers (regardless of size) as we are only three short of a madcap, zany, rousing game of JENGA
I’ve owned so many of these DJ style ear cup flipping headphones to know these won’t last past a year without the little swivel that allows the ear cup to rotate breaking leaving these with a custom dangling ear cup. Meh for me, I will pass.
Anybody know what the heck they mean by “Eco Leather”? I’ve googled and there’s no exact definition. It could be 100% man made all the way up to 100% animal skin.

@Stallion I love mine but I only listen to audio books so I can’t comment about the sound with music. Very comfortable.
@Stallion I couldn’t imagine using anything but noise cancelling headphones for flying. (And no, I’m not paying Bose prices - there are plenty of options).
Must resist. Too many headphoneses.

@RDW0409 Irk is actually pretty big, for a spokestroll.
@Thumperchick Wait a minute, Irk’s a troll!?!?
I always thought he was a sickly fraggle…
@RDW0409 Good question! Will these fit comfortably for us with prodigious craniums?
@RDW0409

@sjk3 I just got mine yesterday and yes, the bigger the cranium the better with these.
My e-shopping experience is goosed by each reference to a grandchild of Noah.
Lifetime warranty is tempting…
@Stallion It’s a “limited” lifetime warranty.

@lichme What, no animated muscle flexing for these FLEX headphones?
I hope that Meh will sell ears to go along with all the headphones and earbuds I am buying from them.
“The lifestyle of a DJ is not something to which one should aspire.”
Can you hear me ?? Guess I’ll flex my meh muscle
how long is the line!?

I bought a pair of these from Morningsave. They are incredibly comfortable and sound OK too.
Anyone know if the mic on these works with a PS4?
Hey maybe a 2 for tuesday on ear’s for all those earphones and headphones we buy from Meh !!!
Case in fifth pic is included. Lady in fourth pic included?

@Birdwoman These are not noise canceling headphones, so no, they wouldn’t work for your purpose. There are quite a few options out there which, as expected, tend to get better as the price goes up. If you’re looking for cheap, check out these Sony headphones: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDRZX110NC-Noise-Cancelling-Headphones/dp/B00NG57H4S
If you want wireless and care to spend a bit more, try these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019U00D7K
Or you can go all out for the pricey Bose: https://www.amazon.com/Bose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Headphones-Cancelling/dp/B01E3SNO1G

Good deal, but already have four or five sets of headphones. And I don’t even wear headphones.

I have a certain extension installed that makes today’s product specs a little interesting:

@tahaboy123 that sounds like a very hot order. Very
Say what you will about the life of DJs new meh writers, at least I had to look up who Tiesto was.
What were you doing before meh? $55 is a fairly specific amount.
Btw, Irk is wearing them wrong. Or he doesn’t care about the crowd reaction. I bet the latter.
/giphy Tiesto
@stinks Irk is technically wearing them correctly. The hinges are toward the back of the head. It’s just the image they used was reversed so the ‘R’ is on the wrong side.
@cinoclav I think what @stinks meant is that Irk has them on both ears. Typically a DJ has one side off to hear the monitors for cueing and/or crowd.

Selling headphones to Meh people is like selling coffee in hell! Enough already! I only own one head to go with my 10 headphones.
Anybody know what the heck they mean by “Eco Leather”? I’ve googled and there’s no exact definition. It could be 100% man made all the way up to 100% animal skin.
@Karstan I tweeted at them. It’s 100% PU.
