If you spend at least $20 (not counting tax or shipping) in the Meh-rathon, you will get $20 back on your IRK purchase. So the IRK will cost you $8… after you spend $20. Meh trying to find that sweet spot price point
@Kidsandliz@kyeh I went thought the items first and saw couple of things that interested me so I bought an IRK when they had sold 700+ of them (now sold at at 1,000 plus). So I can leisurely go back and shop during the day to buy my $ 20 to get my IRK for $ 8. Shows at least they are trying to find a middle ground for combining IRK’s with mehrathons.
@Felton10@Kyeh But apparently no VMP hour since they are sold out. Sigh. I didn’t want to risk buying one and then hoping to find something I really wanted or could use. Since I am not actively looking for anything anyway and now no irks left… oh well. It is what it is. I guess their brick and mortar is less effective at getting rid of junk than we are. Let the irk feast continue?
@Kidsandliz@Kyeh I just wasted $ 35 sending my daughter the MS father’s day mystery box. Couple of years ago sent her both the mother day and father mystery boxes (for a lot less money) and she sold the contents on e-bay. We are way far ahead with her selling lots of the content from IRK’s on ebay (none of the money coming to me). And she has been bugging me to send her an IRK for sometime (I did once) and this seemed like a good way to kill two birds with one stone.
@Felton10@Kidsandliz@Kyeh
Even though the IRKs are sold out do you think there’s any possibility of having some for a members hour? I did what I think a lot of others did, I held off buying my IRK until something came up that I wanted but they were sold out and now I’m having regret! How do you like that, regret without a IRK! At least I didn’t spend money on the IRK and then not find anything to buy and end up with a $29 trash order! I’d buy a mystery box for $29 but I haven’t had much luck getting anything worthwhile in my IRKs lately.
@Felton10@Kyeh@Lynnerizer Wish they had done some irks at VMP hour. Nope. They didn’t think of that. Although in the end I haven’t bought anything and wouldn’t pay $28 for an irk anyway. To be nice to VMP’s they should have done some $8 irks then with no requirement to buy anything else. That would have been nice. @snapster pretty please next time?
@Felton10@Kidsandliz@Kyeh@snapster
I’m sure next time they’ll try something else, seems like they’re switching it up every time. At least the IRKs aren’t $50-100. That’s just way too much money and sadly, I haven’t seen any big winners in the contents of the IRKs lately. I hate to say it but I like the WOOT BOCs better these days. 🫣
I’m glad to see that the episode/deal counter is back. Saves me from going to the ICYMI page and counting all the offerings since the Mehrathon started. I always lose count and have to start over.
If you sell out of IRKs by 9 AM, you’re just going to lose all the people who could’ve potentially bought stuff, because “no more IRK with purchase” is a pretty hefty psychological barrier to get over even for someone who actually wants something being sold. Kind of like not wanting to buy an item at full price after you’ve seen it on sale.
@ShotgunX I agree. The fish they will catch with no bait on the hook is going to be less. I bet if they analyze sales patterns, controlling for who already have an irk who bought prior to having bought the required $20 worth of stuff they will see a drop of impulse purchases made to justify an “$8” irk they now can’t have
Really happy with this Meh-rathon. Fine with paying $28 for an IRK if need be…I’ve gotten some great items in my IRKs. But also happy with how many items offered are in the $20-$30 range. A lot of opportunities to get the IRK credit without breaking the bank. And while there were some $19.99 items (one of which I bought), there was also at least one $4 item which could be paired with to reach the $20 mark. Pretty stress free arrangement for a Meh-rathon. I hope it continues. Thanks, Meh!
Will there be two for Tuesday IRKs?
So is it $50 or $20 spend?
sidedeal says both!
@stevenmontes The $50 is just an example to emphasize that $20 is the max refund you will get
If you spend at least $20 (not counting tax or shipping) in the Meh-rathon, you will get $20 back on your IRK purchase. So the IRK will cost you $8… after you spend $20. Meh trying to find that sweet spot price point
No two-for-twenty women’s undies today, either, eh?
@gertiestn They’ll post those during that brief time you’re away from your computer/phone.
So all items will be sold in multiples.
But what if I only want one ?
Ohh, only one IRK allowed
An $8 irk is reasonable. Not making an impulse purchase to get one though. As a result the odds of me getting an irk is low.

If I need to buy $20 of stuff in the Mehrathon, why did they send me to side deal after i bought the IRK?
@reeldl It’s just the way their site is setup. You bought the IRK on SideDeal so it returns you to SideDeal. And Meh is easy enough to get back to
Hey, they’ve reinstituted the running suspenseful story! And put new trash in the Irk bag! I like it!
I’m glad to see that the episode/deal counter is back. Saves me from going to the ICYMI page and counting all the offerings since the Mehrathon started. I always lose count and have to start over.
What gives first it said on side deal sold out 1000+ now it says sold out 900+
Thanks for asking. I was also wondering.

I’m hoping someone will recap the story episodes!

@lordbowen I agree-one of the better ones in a long time-good selection+reasonably priced IRK=a win in my book.
@lordbowen honestly, the way they’re doing IRKs now brings a bit more equity to the format
