They were rent-a-goat escapees and we know whose fault that was (snicker). @lichme what do you mean springing all your friends from goat jail and then throwing a party and not inviting all your meh friends?
@compunaut@mehcuda67 I bet it’s possible. I saw some cats on America’s Got Talent that did as many tricks as any dogs. If CATS can be trained, I’m positive goats can.
@compunaut@mehbee@mehcuda67 My cats all understand a number of commands that they learned without me trying to train them (just used repetition).
Now one of them acts like a toddler (and/or middle school/teen) and only follows the command when he feels like it… but clearly he understands. I say “go away” and he leaves my lap, sits right by me and after about 30 seconds stares at my face and slowly, oh so slowly, starts to sneak a front paw towards my lap. I say, again, “go away” and the paw is quickly withdrawn. Rinse and repeat several times until he gives up and curls up next to me.
On the other hand goats seem to think all sorts of inedible things are food so maybe they are dumber than we think.
Well that just looks like the best day ever in that neighborhood.
I live on a dead end street, I wonder if I could rent a bunch of goats and call it a block party.
BTW - we have one of those goat rental companies here in MA, and supposedly, they do great work (the goats, that is).
A favorite food of theirs is poison ivy, and they can clear quite a bit of it quite fast.
Free goats!

@Kidsandliz Wow, I dodged a bullet on this one.
@PooltoyWolf WHAT??? You also would have done this? Tisk tisk tisk.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm!..
Cabrito!
Hmmmmm…you must all see something. Why do I see nothing but a long, thin black bar underneath “What a day this must have been.”?
@mfladd you must have Twitter blocked.
@RiotDemon Ha! I do
@mfladd @RiotDemon
Blocking Twitter can be a good thing.
@f00l @mfladd except now he can’t see goats.
Yum. Fresh chevron on-the-hoof.
“Escapee rent-a-goats” is hands down the best thing I’ve heard all week.
I swear my goat post today was not related
I guess that new goat landscaping business didn’t work out
@mehbee I might try that when I retire
@compunaut Cheap labor and who would want those cuties in their yard for a bit
@compunaut @mehbee If you can teach them to edge, I’m in.

Clearly they needed mow goats.
@mehcuda67
You meant this. Right? (snicker)

@DennisG2014 I didn’t know that about poison ivy, filing that away. Of course anything that can eat tin cans should be able to handle some poison ivy.
