I was entering checks into the bookkeeping system and getting a deposit ready. Then I took the pieces of paper to the bank whereupon they gave me one piece of paper back reflecting the total dollar amount represented by the many said pieces of paper.
Apparently we have a missing permit at work. No one has seen it since 2006. No one has cared that it was missing, until yesterday. Large amount of time wasted doing searches on C drives on computers looking for it. Contacted state office, and they don’t have a copy of it either. This is one of those times you just laugh at the " do away with paper and have everything electronic". I mean if the state regulatory office can’t find the permit they issued, then as far as I’m concerned…it never existed…though we exhausted our minds and computers searching for it yesterday.
@AZnatural1 During the application process, who else would have seen it? If you used a contractor at any point, they might help. It’s only been 12 years, how hard could it be?

I have Unstable Unicorns opened in another window here, watching the livestream of Ramy (and staff artists) sketching more unicorn-ish creatures.
@narfcake Sorry I missed that. I enjoyed watching it last time.
@ACraigL From midnight Central tonight until noon tomorrow, they will be sketching. I do NOT plan on staying awake throughout the 12 hours.
Are you going to watch, @Spiritgreen?
I keep replying to customer emails.
@Targaryen Should we send more to keep you busy?
@Targaryen Don’t forget to inject some hilarity. Well, maybe not.
@narfcake If you wanna get some of those out of the way so we won’t have them around the holidays that’d be good.
@OldCatLady I can usually on Meh emails. Unfortunately comedy doesn’t mesh well with the denizens of MorningSave purchases.

@moonhat Yours or someone else?

@therealjrn It’s probably a good thing that none of those checks are mine.

@narfcake @therealjrn

@Cerridwyn @narfcake @therealjrn
Who cares.
WTF is this “deposit” thing you mention. Asking for my wife and kids.
So “working” is the new euphamism for … ?
@mike808
Not working

@AZnatural1 Maybe it was never really issued? Stranger things have happened.

@compunaut That’s what happened. It was NeVER issued. May I have all those minutes wasted looking for it, back now?

@OldCatLady I sometimes jump online with my laptop to see if the mfr. has a PDF file of the instructions so I can zoom in…
@OldCatLady Ikea pictogram, or worse?
@narfcake I’ve never tried Ikea. This is bad enough.
@narfcake @OldCatLady Easy peasy!
@narfcake @therealjrn I’d say something witty but now I’ve lost the damned hex wrench.
@OldCatLady Blame the goat.
