Lots of paring issues, a terrible manual, and a lack of online help means you should skip these and go with a reputable manufacturer with a website and some sort of support infrastructure.
I bought them in April, the starry night version. Didn’t start using them for a month or so. Worked great initially, then the warranty expired. One became permanently louder than the other, then the battery on one started to suck, then laughably suck, like 5 minutes of play time on a charge. Finally the bad battery died completely. Also, fancy finish wasn’t durable, left with a shiny aluminum tube.
Ugh…these look to be identical to the Rowkin buds with the “tube” charger that were a total waste of money. when you ask yourself “how bad can they be for $20” I was endlessly frustrated by how often they dropped connection.
@spavlis that’s good to hear! This particular style, with the tube case, were beyond frustrating for me. they did this funny thing when losing connection the volume would cut out, then “ramp” back up so volume would go up, cut out, go up. I contacted rowkin and they told me to be sure the buds were oriented correctly because they had to be 12-oclock to 12-oclock, not even a little off, which seemed crazy. I also discovered that they were absolutely 100% worse outdoors in sunlight, for which I have exactly zero explanation. Full disclosure, I received another pair of Rowkins with ear hooks that I use when working out, cycling outdoors etc, they stay in place and they never drop out…but these weren’t meh purchase.

Oh good, I’m glad that isn’t just me! I’ve used them on the bus ride home from work, and they’ll work great the whole ride without any cutting out, then as soon as I get off the bus and start to walk home in the sun, boom, disconnected, seemingly no matter where I hold my phone. So weird.
@huntd Pretty sure the Van Gogh edition ones are a different version, because these don’t seem to have the automatic pairing/connection that the Van Gogh ones do. I got one of those and have been pretty happy with them so far.
It sounds like this is an outlier but I got two of the “artsy” ones last time they were on here and my significant other really likes them. She’s been using them since around April of last year without any issues.
Looks like Meh is their last stop before the dumpster. Terrible reviews. They have been through HSN, Groupon and who knows where before landing here. Let’s start with the manufacturer’s admission of terrible battery life. No one except here had anything good to say about them. Makes you wonder about here

Are these good? Aside from the battery life…
@dimwittedanimal Mine had lots of pairing issues and would stutter if my phone was in my pocket. Save your money.
@tygon1 Thanks.
@dimwittedanimal it was easy to connect, sound decent, but the battery lasts for like 30 minutes tops. Can’t even make it through a podcast.
This Says it all

Garbage

@Wimateeka but is it a really really good shiny aluminum tube?
@eeterrific no
So, where do you think Meh can stick these?
@mike808 Coming soon to a Morningsave near you!
@ciabelle @mike808 They show up there as “sold out”
@ciabelle @eeterrific @mike808 rriiigGGHHhht.
I thought it was an e-cig and I thought, hmmm a microphone? So you can take calls while you’re on a vape-break? Sure, I guess so…
@ybmuG you know what Sigmund Freud said about a cigar…
@eeterrific I think that would be your problem, not mine…
@eeterrific @ybmuG …hmm…so…what did Freud say?
@eeterrific @SharonOser @ybmuG “sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.” -Freud
I heard these were… whoops where did I put now? Oh, it in my ear. Why can’t I hear anything?
Wireless earbuds are the new speaker docks.
Ugh…these look to be identical to the Rowkin buds with the “tube” charger that were a total waste of money. when you ask yourself “how bad can they be for $20” I was endlessly frustrated by how often they dropped connection.
@SCHORERT those Rowkin buds work fine for me and my family. Got 5 pairs and we’re happy with them. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

@spavlis I guess my rowkin experience is useless here, just simply in my opinion, a $20 pair of earbuds is not worth it.
@SCHORERT

I have the Van Gogh edition from last sale. At least they look good…
@huntd so how are your paintings going?
@huntd Van Gogh EARbuds? Let that one sink in good a minute…
@huntd Pretty sure the Van Gogh edition ones are a different version, because these don’t seem to have the automatic pairing/connection that the Van Gogh ones do. I got one of those and have been pretty happy with them so far.
Only one Amazon review…and its a one review.
Look elsewhere.

@Dog19026 it’s because they saved the best ones for Meh!
@ybmuG That seems to be the theme lately
Wow…so one person bought this and absolutely hated it. Hard pass.
I pressed the meh button so hard I cracked the screen on my phone.
Wow. 1 star on Amazon. Pass.
it didnt even tell yyou how short the battery life is, obviously hiding something…
HORRIBLE battery life. Very seldom every get something I hate from Meh… these have made it to the list. Ugh…
These are terrible. Only plays through one ear now. Cant get the two buds to connect to each other. Fucking asinine
