I think we are reaching the law of diminishing returns on Meh re some products
6Knives, kitchen knives, speakers of any type etc. One only needs so many of these items with out the wife kicking you out of the house.
Only 51 speakers sold so far today. I am waiting for the day when not one person buys the item. It’s coming.
I’ll bet their are a lot of people like me who have unopened boxes of shit they bought from Meh.
PS: Fucko are not included in my comment. Can never get enough of those.

I don’t even remember what’s in a lot of those boxes. I hope it’s something useful. Someday. Although I’m pretty sure some are Banana Boat speakers.
@sammydog01 I LOVE my BB speakers! They work great outside and it doesn’t matter if you leave them out in the rain… (and yes… I have one still in the box… sigh)
@sammydog01 I gave that Banana Boat speaker as a white elephant gift and the recipient absolutely loves it! Texted me over the summer to let me know how much use it was getting out by the pool.
@chienfou @pitamuffin I use mine to do the non-Newtonian corn starch thing. I love it too I just don’t need the 4 or 5 that I own.
@sammydog01 Mine worked once, for 15 minutes and then wouldn’t charge. Always buzzed when I tried to recharge it unless I whacked it a couple of times every three or four minutes.
Meh was pretty fabulous about giving me a refund after the Banana Boat folks wouldn’t respond to voice or emails.
The little blue light on it is kinda pretty, though. It comes on whenever it wants and casts a nice glow in the middle of the night.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix the thing to make it charge, I’d love to hear them. It did have a pretty decent sound for the few minutes it worked.
@LaVikinga re: getting your device to charge. I can’t tell you how to get it to charge, sight unseen, outside the obvious fixes. But, I can offer my services. I am a lifelong fixer and geek, and have this innate ability to repair things. Not bragging, but if I can’t fix it, it cannot be fixed. If you want, you can send it to me and I will do my best, no charge, pun intended.

@sammydog01 Going to really have to look at it harder since upon initial exam I couldn’t figure out how to take it apart short of prying it open with a screw driver.
@LaVikinga I saw some screws under the yellow rubber band- it looks like they just take the plate off the buttons but there appears to be a seam that can be popped open.

If you do decide to take a look inside it, and run into any questions, give me a shout and send some photos of the innards. I may be able to give you some guidance on troubleshooting it. I am expert on rechargeable batteries and charging. Please be VERY CAREFUL with li ion/li po batteries, as they can catch fire and/or explode if exposed to high temperatures or are shorted.

@Lurker I have two cats, not by choice. The tuxedo cat thinks he’s a dog, and is as skittish as Claude the Cat. The Cafe con Leche lump of cat is very soft, puts out a lot of heat at night and will absolutely ignore humans unless he is hungry. He also has a thing for new leather shoes, much like me. Although I don’t nuzzle them, or stick my head inside while wrapping my arms around them and rolling around on the floor. Well…I don’t do it THAT often.

@Kidsandliz, he really only does this with new shoes. Last year he tried to carry off a new pair of Minnetonka deerskin driving mocs right out of the box. This month he managed to entirely coat a pair of black suede booties with cream & tan cat hair within 30 minutes of discovering them in my room. I found him with arms & legs wrapped around a boot and his head all the way inside the shaft. Leather shoes are like catnip to him.

Have a couple of home theatre power centers is their original plastic and a sound system in its original box unused and unopened.
Leaving them in their original shipping boxes would be a dead give-a-way to the wife that I not only bought them, but I didn’t need them.
I have so many unopened boxes. When I finally get around to cleaning out the guest room it will be like Christmas!
MEH is a sideline for Mediocre.com. What shows up on Meh prob has to fit the needs of the larger $ stream.

Well 75 today gives them time to deal with the high volume yesterday. I have noticed they tend to alternate between desirable and undesirable. They probably planned this as an easy dud day. They get rid of some pallets of stuff and get time to ship out other stuff.

So, we learned that at least some people who could use speakers like these bought them because they were much cheaper than anywhere else. But not a lot. We do learn from days like this, and will continue to strive to buy tens of thousands of things to sell at great discounts to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of intelligent and savvy consumers like you. And everyone you work with. And all your relatives. And neighbors. You get the drift… thanks for your biz and for spreading the word.

@Jdub Wasn’t thinking of your buyer - was thinking of all the great fuku box items that will now be forthcoming for at least a few lucky souls… All those folks will thank your buyer : ) Heck I’d have loved to buy some nice speakers, receivers, etc. at a nice price as my stuff is all from the 80’s except they are priced too high for my currently abysmal budget. But of course that has nothing to do with your need to price something to cover costs and make a profit.
@Jdub Nope, I can’t imagine owning more that one food saver. Knives and Bluetooth speakers, on the other hand, are useful in multiples.

@sammydog01 Possible? Yes. We’re always asking “what else ya got?” when buying deals with that thought in mind. It’s tougher than you think to talk someone into realizing that the time is right to get rid of something when they don’t think they are. Becoming the “go-to guy” with a top brand can definitely happen, but it takes time!

I am at Bluetooth speaker saturation. I don’t care if you were selling high-end BT speakers for $3; I’m out of room (read: wife tolerance) for those things. Weirdly enough, the two best I have are the BEM micro (not the mini), and an HP triangle thing I bought in Staples for $12.
I am still waiting for the wired high-end headphone apocalypse, though. I would have thought some manufacturer would have been stuck with a bunch in a post-iPhone 7 world. Guess the dongles are better than I thought they were.

I read somewhere that iPhone 7 sales are somewhere off expectations. Dunno if true. Also read the android market is huge, something near 85%+ of market total, worldwide? No dongle needed there.
Also people who want really high end headphones might not care about apple’s design choices. They will use the dongle if needed - but may be listening on another source device anyway.

@f00l I had an old Sony walkman phone that didn’t have a regular headphone jack. It did come with special headphones that sounded really good. The only time it bothered me was when I forgot the special headphones.
