I really wish this thread were a [Wish Thread]
3We’ve all been there.
Well, wanted to been there.
Er, be there.
Wherever you are, you wish you were somewhere else.
Doing something else.
So what would that something be, friends? What would you like to be doing? What would you be doing if you were retired?

I really wish this thread was never created
@butter021 Wish thread cancelled, everybody go home.
I wish this was a coconut.
@ChadP
@ChadP @rockblossom Ah…, who doesn’t fantasize about having a squirrel shoved up his… coconut hole?
I wish Thomas would stop just appearing at this desk. Walk in and make noise like normal people!
Also I wish I could go and visit some other countries I haven’t seen like Russia or Romania etc.
If I was retired, I’d be doing exactly what I’m doing now. Because I am, and I am.
If I could be somewhere else, doing something else, I’d be somewhere basking in the sun, not huddled inside away from the 40 degrees and rain.
@rockblossom
@rockblossom agreed 100%.
If I were retired I’d be at Alex’s house with Pat, Graham, and Yoshi watching Gig Young on the Twilight Zone.
@lordjimbo but not Alex…
@alepp @lordjimbo You aren’t retired, duh.
All I have ever wanted is to have a small cabin on a lake, with a small dock, and a small boat to go fishing. Oh well - it’s a nice dream.
I wish I was a little bit taller.
@medz
I wish I was a baller.
@medz wish i had a girl who looked good, i would call her
@tnhillbillygal there it is!
I’d be busier on Meh if I weren’t so busy on CaseMate. BTW, hope today’s shipment arrives safely.
@lordjimbo whadya order? I’m enjoying a glass of the OneHope cab right now.
@moonhat have 2 orders coming in for the wife - Anne Amie Pinot Blanc and Pedroncelli Zin Rose. Otherwise, will drink the Noceto Sangiovese tomorrow night
If I was retired, I’d probably be in Colorado getting ready for ski season
I wish to spend a month traveling around Japan. I want to hike Fuji, eat specialty foods in all the different areas of the country, visit the coastlines, ride the Shinkansen, make the crossing at Shibuya, shop in Ikebukuro, and eat conveyor belt sushi. Some day…
/giphy i wish
If wishes were fishes we’d all swim in riches.
If I were retired, my hubby and I would hopefully be in a sailboat (newer and nicer than our current one), leisurely sailing around the (any) tropics. I’m envisioning waking up at anchor and enjoying a good cup of coffee in the cockpit, then taking a morning swim in the gorgeous water where we can see to the bottom
and doing some snorkeling maybe. Maybe heading to shore and finding a nice farmers market. Later stopping at a beach bar and having some dark & stormys. It will be perfect and happy and perfectly sunny each day but not too hot. Wow! I know that it won’t hardly ever be like that but I can dream.

@moonhat What’s your current sailboat? Where is she anchored/moored?
@compunaut a Seawind 41, in Anacortes, WA
@moonhat - Isn’t that a catamaran?
@moonhat If you’re looking for a galley slave, let me know!
@aetris no our Seawind was a much smaller co than the one you’re thinking of. there were only 7 boats built, 70’s and 80’s. builder was Joe Trumbly.
