@cpierce@jitc The battery may have a longer lifetime, but what’s the use if it’s dead when you need it because you only charge it to 50% each time? That’s why I’ve always bought phones with a replaceable battery or is cheap enough that I don’t mind if the integrated battery dies in 3 years.
I only replaced my Galaxy S4 2 years ago because the power button broke. The new one doesn’t have a replaceable battery, but only cost $150 and I plug it in every night, yet it still seems to last about as long as when it was new.
Hm. I never thought this before, but I guess I get itchy to recharge around 30% tho not exactly sure since I disabled the percentage on the battery icon.
Your butt @medicrebot
I don’t plug my phone in because I charge it wirelessly.
@heartny ditto!
Gah! You mean I’m supposed to plug it in?
I get paranoid whenever it gets below about 70%. I could never have an electric car.
@cpierce Then I guess no one will ever laugh at you for having an empty battery in your phone or car. You’ll just think they’re laughing at you.
@cpierce did you know that’s actually worse for the longevity of the battery?
@cpierce I mean, that is, should you be following through on eliminating your paranoia.

Every 4 or 5 daysish.
Whenever and wherever I find the power!
I use it as a bedside alarm clock, so it gets plugged in every night. My life is so dull …

I have battery anxiety anytime below 85%. Despite never ever having run out of juice . . .
Usually around 2-5%. Often 1%
