@username we're thinking about bringing it back as we're still playing around with the global header, but our analytics data shows that those filters were very rarely used.
@shawn thanks for considering it! also it's two clicks to get to forums from main page. I'm a big proponent of less is more in UX design. there is no need to hide features under drop down menus.
@username in this case I'd argue that we're actually fighting for "less is more". we can't make every link to every page visible at once and not make it cluttered and confusing.
Your screen is so tall! Do you browse Meh from a video slot machine? Is it because of the free cocktails?
