No answer fits (kinda like my old shirts).
I wear a shirt with collar pretty much every day. But not for work (I’m retired), unless you mean work around the house. And I’m pretty sure I’ve lived my whole life without being accused of being “classy”.
I like shirts with usable POCKETS, and that usually comes along with collars.
(And looks like today’s offering has no pocketses.)
Except for Sundays, my collared shirts are polos with spaceships (real or fictional), robots, bounty hunters, cars, etc.; or Hawaiian shirts covered with cars. But the majority are t-shirts.
I play a lot of golf, and the club requires collared shirts. But once summer hits, its t-shirts the rest of the time. The nice thing about IT as a career, is that you can wear just about anything if you aren’t C level.
@olperfesser I have one collared shirt. I wear it to play golf. Although they do say women can wear non-collared shirts, but everything else I have are t-shirts so I don’t want to take the risk.
@Fuzzalini@olperfesser Why on earth would one have to wear a collared shirt to play golf? Just so the club can pretend they are snotty? Seems beyond dumb.
@Fuzzalini@olperfesser Good thing I don’t play golf. When we had to learn how in high school gym we played field hockey with the clubs when the gym teacher wasn’t looking. When we were stuck learning field hockey we’d try to use the field hockey sticks as miniature stilts.
I’m female so maybe it’s different but often. I find the striped button downs work well at work but also my plaid shirts have them despite being really casual. I buy them to be much bigger than me though so does it really count?
Whenever I need them to pop.
Once a week for work.

@phendrick Same here. I wear shirts with collars all the time, because work shirts and flannels come that way.
Button-down collard shirt for work everyday. Dress like the success you wanna be, even while working from home.
@hchavers A very wise ideal that WAY too many people seem to completely miss!
@hchavers I can not agree less.
Long sleeved work shirts with collars are nice for keeping MEK splashes off my skin.
Shirt pockets are a nice place to keep a pen and notepad, too.
Again, this poll seems slanted to the males in Meh.
Does flannel count?
Whenever I want to out with old friends.

@Kidsandliz @olperfesser Yes. Can’t wear jeans either.

Every night that I go to the main dining room on the cruise ship.
@ThunderChicken So you’re still cruising? What part of the world are you in now?
@Kyeh The Southern Caribbean. Aruba yesterday, Bonaire today, Curacao tomorrow.
@ThunderChicken Sounds fabulous!
I’m in retail, our uniform is a Navy Polo with Black or Khaki pants.(Soon Transitioning to a Black Polo with Khaki pants, cuz…Corporate says so)
