I have a 1+ and must say that I never worry about my phone dying. I get about 8 hours of screen on time and 2 days in between charges. Too bad for meh, if I was stuck with my S3 I might have bought this out of necessity. Part of me wants to buy one just to make sure it doesn't end up in a landfill... meh, now that I said that I will probably end up with a pallet of these in my next fuku.
@tehtruth I also have a 1+. Just got back from a three day camping trip off the grid. My monday alarm woke me at 6:00 this morning, I expected the battery to be long dead......I also upgraded from an S3.......ARE YOU ALTERNATE UNIVERSE ME?!?!?!?
@tehtruth +1 for 1+ Can I get an invite bro? J/K I'm writing this on mine It hasn't seen a charger since this morning. Im still tempted to buy this for other devices around the house though.
I was told to drain it all the way before recharge in order to prolong the battery's life.. Don't know if it's true or not but it does seem to make sense and I've been getting the same amount of use time from the battery that I got before my very first recharge I will also wait until it cools off before recharging (about an hour or so). I became a "flighty-silly-thrill" because I liked the price and it could come in handy at times (especially with rechargeable video at hair-raising amusement parks).
It was the limit, is what I was getting at.. I push it to the limit. Sorry guys, should have been a little clearer on that. (I don't understand this video)
My phone dies in the middle of conversations occasionally. I only tend to have problems if I am away from home and/or my car for extended periods. @unkabob: The "discharge it all the way" philosophy was correct for only older formulations of NiCd batteries (say, the seventies). Since then, it has not been correct for any battery chemistry or type. You will shorten the life of Li-ion battery in your phone if you repeatedly deep-discharge it.
@PocketBrain.. Is that a fact? So that my rechargeable batteries seem to have the same charge longevity as it had when it was new is what? A glitch? Actually the way they operate now? Why do some people claim their rechargeable don't last very long? Are they just nit pickers? In any case thanks for the update, I will test and maybe get back to you on it. One more thing, what would be the best time to recharge them? Half way? This will help me decide.
@unkabob Now there are some issues with poorly-designed charge and balance controllers that might turn that on its head; you would see the difference in multi-cell batteries (like this one), but per cell, it's better not to discharge a Li-ion battery too deeply.

Oh gee, I don't know.. How far DO I push it?
Why don't YOU tell ME? #slowclap #highfive
@Chops You push it real good. BTW, the restaurant Los Pollos Hermanos in Breaking Bad.
@Stumpy91 Wat?
It was the limit, is what I was getting at.. I push it to the limit. Sorry guys, should have been a little clearer on that. (I don't understand this video)
@Stumpy91 Surprised you didn't go all the way
@bluedyn That's what I'm talkin' bout.

@PocketBrain ... Thanx..
I still have a dumb phone. That battery lasts a good 3 or 4 days, possibly longer.
Apparently, it's best to keep Li-Ion batteries charged 20-80%. Link to article on Slate.com
I let my phone die multiple times a day because I don't leave it plugged in long enough to charge very long.
I have chargers everywhere and a portable battery pack in my purse. My phone battery never, ever sees red but my biggest fear is a dead phone.
@foreverpurple Not the violent death of your family or forcible sodomy? A dead battery is your biggest fear?
@givemeyoursoul
@givemeyoursoul In the event of violent death and forcible sodomy, not being able to call for help is pretty damn scary...
@Thumperchick Great point!
@JonT
@givemeyoursoul uh yeah! How the hell can I call for help if my phone is dead!?
@Thumperchick Exactly!!
