I used to get quite a few steps traversing airports and walking to meetings. Now, my security check-point is getting past my wife without another Honey-Do.
@katbyter neck was already cricked. But yeah I have not even had to think about shoveling this year. There was a bit of snow Friday night and some ass hat decided it was a good idea to slow down to 25 mph and put on their hazards. On a 55mph state road
If any of you are that person just pull over so the rest of us can drive don’t block a main road
Spent an hour splitting firewood with a maul yesterday. Going hiking in the inlaws’ woods today. Cleaning the workshop top to bottom next week. Somehow still not losing weight.
Same way I get exercise in the summer, at the gym. But also often with more outdoor walks, some bike riding, kite flying, etc. Where I live, winter is when it’s nice to be outside. Summer, when it’s stupid hot, is when you need to stay indoors.
Same as in the summer.

@shahnm You could streamline that a bit, and leave them in the fridge.
@blaineg Would that still count as exercise?

@hchavers Me too, except I spent so much time traveling I no longer have the wife, so it’s an even bigger drop in exercise.

On some days I have to wear a long sleeve shirt because it is in the 30s when I go bike riding. That is only a couple times a year though.
@yakkoTDI, it’s been two weeks since I moved out of sunny SoCal. What was I thinking moving to somewhere that has winter?

I don’t know, but I always lose weight in the winter! Close to 1/4 stone, but I always gain it back in the summer.
@fuzzmanmatt
1/4 stone? Where am I? meh.uk?
@fuzzmanmatt @ybmuG I think the US conversion is somewhere between a dozen eggs and half a hay bale.
KuoH
@fuzzmanmatt @kuoh @ybmuG Furlongs per fortnight.
Snow shoveling is about the best exercise I get all winter. Though I don’t know we’ll be seeing that much this year from what the forecaster says.
Don’t know why it flipped that image sideways, and not sure how to flip it back. Don’t crick your neck looking at it.

@katbyter It snows, I shovel.
Furious masturbation.
@mbimeh vs other times of the year? Or?
@mbimeh I will never look at The Fast and The Furious in the same way again.
@unksol
Spring: vigorous
Summer: energetic
Fall: mostly downward, in honor of the season, but also hurried, because harvest time.
@mbimeh TMI
@mbimeh Are you blind yet?
@eeterrific @mbimeh probably just hairy palms
@eeterrific
Does astigmatism count?
Also losing my hearing. Doubt it’s related. Or is it…
@unksol
Hairy palms? No. Just a glorious, braided Viking beard, and a full head of hair, despite my age.
@mbimeh fairy enough
Shivering is a good workout.
Beat Saber in VR!
@dougolas Pistol Whip does a good job getting you moving as well.

Work. I get 12000 steps minimum every weekday and do lifting up to 80 pounds a few times a shift.
Karate 5-6 days a week and outside exercise as well.
