After catching whatever flu the vaccine didn't prevent and being stuck in bed for days deliriously sick, this felt like a personal shout out to me. In fact, this talking bottle of NyQuil just told me it definitely was a shout out to me.
Ok, now I need to go take more NyQuil and then eat some music.
According to my calculations, I've accrued 13 weeks of sick time. Sweet. I'll never use them all, but it's nice to know I have that in case something goes wrong... Or I get pregnant. That could happen. I've seen Junior.
Who gets sick days in America? Are they hiring? I (engineer) nor any of my friends (healthcare, art industry, fast food) get sick days that don't deduct from vacation days or income.
I am of the stance that a lack of sick leave/work from home is society's problem. We shouldn't hold an individual accountable for something they they have little control over, when a company chooses to punish them (via reduction in PTO time) by staying home.
@primeletters I get sick days. We can accumulate up to 200 hours and then get a check for any extra time at the beginning of the next year. I've only ever had to use sick days one time (although it wiped out most of them) when I was off for 3 weeks which included being hospitalized for a week.
@primeletters I'm with you. If some of us have anything to do with it, this will be part of continuing efforts at healthcare reform.
I get sick days. When my first wife died several years ago, I managed to burn through them all (along with every other conceivable leave--and, trust me, I was fucked up), but it looks like I'm at almost 10 weeks again. I work for local government. But don't worry, I'm sure that some fine soul like Scott Walker will eventually take away the benefits we were promised when they hired us.
This is maybe the one time (or one of a very small number) that I agree with Glen. And I hate those narcissistic, attention-seeking assholes who come in and spread their pain to the rest of us.
That being said, I love what @matthew does at the end, because Glen is totally an asshole too.
I think I'm being especially judgey today. Or, well, maybe I'm just being honest about how I always feel.
Brilliant!!
That's what you get by hanging around Hank and Glen.... Chicken Sox.

Now he's a sick puppet. :(
@TerriblyHuang Just pronounced that last bit as French! Clever you!
Glen gets me.
Glen understands, man. Sick days are for when you're sick! They aren't auxiliary vacation days to be hoarded.
@Thumperchick Unless you're like my workplace and you only get "PTO", so you can go to disneyland or you can stay home sick. :/
Poor baby.
Still waiting for woot to come up with the "hey man" t shirt
We don't get separate sick days here, they're deducted from our vacation days...

Who's against me?!

So...uh...at the end of the video, they both spoke at the same time while both in frame. Nobody else is concerned about this?
@medz Of course they did. What? Are you trying to say that Glen is actually @matthew? That's just crazy talk.
