@lljk When I grew up in the Midwest, all my friends were Blackhawks and Blues fans, so I wanted to be something different when I started following hockey, so I chose the Minnesota North Stars as my team. Fast forward to today and I live in Dallas, and the North Stars and now the Dallas Stars, and I'm close to my favorite team. It was a good turn of luck.
Welcome back Glen
Is it really SOLD OUT or is this just computer glitch too?? Just can't trust MEH anymore....
Let's go lightning!
How many of the Mediocre staff follow hockey? (And how many are fans of the Dallas Stars?)
@lljk there are quite a few. The biggest fans I know of are @nigelf @denboy @hart @MEHcus and @ChadP.
@lljk I'm a Pens fan, but I follow the Stars as my western conference team.

@lljk Stars fan. That said, I'm not really a "sports guy". At some point, my nerdiness overcame my sports...iness.
@hart I know from personal experience that it's definitely possible to be both a nerd and a sports person (Nashville Predators fan, here). :-)
@denboy Love the down to earth nature of most of the players and their toughness.
@denboy
@denboy Yep, the first thing I think of with the Isles is "toughness"
@NigelF That was a brilliant moment for Isles fans, we wanted his career over. Meanwhile there's some who trip over blue paint under the ice.
