HBO Show Flow
2Do you stream HBO shows? This map shows the most popular streaming by state. They forgot to count me in Washington, it appears. I stream VEEP and John Oliver (not even represented, pffft!), and sometimes Silicon Valley and Flight of the Conchords.

Doesn’t it seem like GoT would be more popular?

Silicon Valley
The Comedy News Shows. - Oliver and Maher.
GOT
Sopranos
A little Veep
Some movies and stuff now and then. Have a bunch on my to-to.
GOT seems to be what people I know mostly watch around here.
I don’t even know what “Divorce” is about.
@f00l - Yeah, that title doesn’t give anything away!
People are always talking about GoT, even though I don’t watch, I thought it would be most popular.
@KDemo
It’s clearly most popular among people I know. But those are people who mostly watch limited TV.
I knew someone once who watched TV all day. And she would watch any reality show whatsoever. Even the Ghosthunter shows and other stuff like that, and she was really into The Bachelor and other supposedly romantic “competitions”. And all those Hallmark movies and is it the Lifeline channel or what? And movie of the week. stuff. I had to be careful never to say anything about those shows to her, or I would get a 3 hour history of the latest “rose” crisis.
@f00l - Watching TV all day reminds me of this:

@KDemo
I The New Yorker!
It doesn’t say how far back the data goes. GoT is between seasons. If the data is only the last month or two, it wouldn’t be the most popular. It’s already been proven to be one of the most illegally downloaded shows… So that doesn’t show up on their app statistics either.
I was going to say leave it to Maryland to keep a 10 year old show at the top of our list just because it’s about us but then… Nevada also keeps watching The Wire for some reason?
@brhfl - @RiotDemon makes some sense. There isn’t a reference to when or how the data was gathered. There are some current shows listed (Westworld, Divorce) but some really dated shows (Oz, Deadwood) listed too so I think you two are both right when questioning the legitimacy of this infographic.
