As Seen on TV stuff I have: snuggie - best way to cuddle huskies without getting covered in dog hair sham wow - useful to have around slap chop - you're gonna love my chopped nuts! (I didn't have a food processor when we got this.) slider pan - Fun. Kind of dumb, but fun. ez combs - useful and cute.
I don't think we paid more than 50% of the MSRP on any of this crap, though. I might like stupid gadgets, but I'm not a complete tool.
As I peck on my trusty 'puter, in the background I over hear something that says I just can not live without so I halt my forum ragging, check the name of the prod (don't be fooled, that second 'free' one will cost you twice what the first one offers) anyway then I head to amazon and 99.99% of the time it will have the same product with customer comments that aren't paid trolls and decide whether I can or can not actually live without it. Once decided I push a button and in 3 days it's mine with the option to get a refund if I don't like it without losing the bulk of the cost of aso-tv's s/h rip-off. But in reality I always check out meh first just in case I'd rather get ripped off with something else entirely by a better class of zombies.
@The_Baron I cam very close to buying a Jay Kordich Juiceman and/or having a religious epiphany in 1997. It was 4 AM, I was on the tail end of a powerful acid trip, and I was utterly captivated and MOVED by the Juiceman. I vividly remember sobbing, watching this infomercial and repeating over and over, "it will change my life! Juice will change my life!"
Then I couldn't find my wallet, and the moment passed. But for one brief shining moment, I saw Jay Kordich as a messianic figure.
Orgreenic pans are awesome until they warp. But, they're so cheap you can just get new ones. Also, my set of Miracle Blade knives lasted me about 15 years- until I upgraded to Cutco (then a month later received a perfect set of Cuisinart knives in my fuku). Also a car wash kit when I was inebriated... I needed the drunk dial 'are you smart enough to make this phone call' app.
I bough one of those roll flat garden hoses once. That thing was a POS.
I have a few other things lying around. Swivel Sweeper, California Car Duster, Twin Draft Guard, to name a few. They're all crap. I don't think I bought any of them off the TV, though. Most Target and Walmart stores have an ASOTV section.
@Moose Oh man, this should be on my list, was $3 on woot. I straight up wore my FL, drank a bottle of Moscato, and ate some chocolate covered strawberries; while watching chick flicks one afternoon. Worth it.
I bought a Ninja Blender system thing but got it off Woot for like 1/3 of the price. It really was excellent. Used it up until I was able to afford a Vitamix
I never buy anything using the ordering process in the TV commercials, but I've bought a bunch of the stuff after they hit other distribution channels and the price dropped to sane levels.
I am typing this on an "EZ Eyes" keyboard. I bought mine at Five Below for $5 each, but I hear that they are stocked at some dollar stores. I have a bunch, because I have a bunch of laptops and Raspberry Pi computers. Sometimes I use one with the Raspberry Pi on my robot, and forget to remove or secure it before letting the robot move. This leads to the keyboard falling off the robot, and sometimes getting dragged around, or driven over. The first few accidents will crack the case, but it will keep working. After a few more accidents, keys fall off, or something else breaks.
We save on heating with things that are similar to a Snugee, but I don't know if the brand we bought was actually advertised on TV.
I have an okay vegetable dicer that said it was "As seen on TV", but I don't recall ever seeing the ad for it.
StufZ stuffed burger patty maker!
I only watch As Seen On TV programs for the commercials.
Although I was never tempted to purchase one, I admit spending many half-hours mesmerized by Flowbee demonstrations.
Only when billy mays did them
I still sorta miss him
@WilhelmScreamer
So, @WilhelmScreamer , when you picked your name, how did you know you'd have a chance to evoke Billy Mays?
@KDemo oh my god, it all makes sense now
Just bought a Magic Bullet (the blender, I don't think the other kind can be shown on TV).
@JonT Though I'd imagine if you dropped the other kind in your blender, it may eventually mix the ingredients.
@somf69 I got some of these from woot a few years back - they are useful
@Thumperchick You know the Germans make good stuff.
The only As seen on TV product I bought that actually worked somewhat was the Vegetti slicer.
I had 3 Pocket Fisherman. They were great. Caught and fried many a bluegill with those stupid things.
snuggie and dog snuggie... what can i say, i'm a snuggler.
@annwat Wait, what!?! They have a dog snuggie?
@caffeine_dude
Bass-o-Matic! http://www.hulu.com/watch/19046
Swivel Sweeper. It worked well, really liked it, but the batteries were crap. You could go bankrupt buying the batteries.
@pooflady thank meh for those bundles of batteries am I right?
@WilhelmScreamer No, these were big suckers you had to send for.
I bought the rotato in an odd job! It was the most amazing thing you had to crank that I've ever owned! Then it broke :(

I bought my wife a Snuggie as a joke. She actually uses it pretty often.
We have a few Hercules hooks around the house. They're not great but they work.
This thing was well worth it. Consumer Reports agrees
No but I use to watch a lot of infomercials when I was up late. Jay Kordich and the Juceman was crazy.
Jim Carrey even did a parody skit on In Living Color as him:
@The_Baron I cam very close to buying a Jay Kordich Juiceman and/or having a religious epiphany in 1997. @The_Baron Sweet merciful Rao, does that man have horns for eyebrows or am I seeing things?
Not sure any of them had the "as seen on TV" logo when I bought them.
Buy one or else!

We have an "As seen on TV" kiosk at the mall. Fun to see but I would never buy.
@Moose Accurate representation of my life.
@Moose Oh man, this should be on my list, was $3 on woot. I straight up wore my FL, drank a bottle of Moscato, and ate some chocolate covered strawberries; while watching chick flicks one afternoon. Worth it.
!The Shiwala Car Mop
A CAR WASH ON A STICK!
Soft, Effective and Non-abrasive!

bought a Grill Daddy. It actually works amazingly well. The bummer is that I didn't get the second one free...
Incredibly cheap snuggie from Woot, which I am sure most of us here have done at some point.
