I bought one of these. The interface is garbage, but the rest of the product is actually pretty good. You can’t just turn it on and go, you have to turn it on, select the manual mode, select time, set time, select temperature, set temperature, then hit go. I’ve used more friendly air fryers, but it does the job.
I have an air fryer / oven and it’s actually been a great investment simply because it’s way easier to clean than sticking one’s head into a conventional oven while wielding a can of toxic foam cleaner. Not that I keep either oven spotless, but I use the mini-oven more because I won’t be smelling all the stuff that would burn up for the umpteenth time in the bottom of the big one. Maybe I’ll clean that one today. I doubt it though. I’ll probably just keep not-using it in favor of the little one.
I do like frozen pizza. Since one won’t fit, I score them with a knife and break them in half. Actually, I break off a third of each half, too, and eat a third of a pizza at a time. Half would fit in the oven, but not in me. I’m getting old.
One (mildly) amusing thing about my little oven is it is billed as an Air Fryer Toaster Oven but does not have a toast preset. I had to figure out on my own how long it takes to bake toast. OK, that’s not even mildly amusing. It’s just bad design. Yours has the upper hand in that regard.
All this is to say, I think you guys talked down the idea of purchasing a little air fryer oven too much, tongue-in-cheek as things are around here. They do take up some space and lord knows what I would do if mine had come with all those cupboard-hogging attachments, but the ovens are a nice amenity. Anyone who got this far should probably buy one. Maybe you could even get a little rebate by selling any unneeded attachments for scrap metal.
How does the size compare? I understand that one of the value props of an air fryer vs a good convection oven is that there is less volume to heat up. That said, I still would like to have the max volume (think - best in class) possible to fry larger items.
What would my very mediocre air fryer experts here recommend?
I have this one and love it. I bought it when it was on MorningSave for like $80 so this is a much better price.
The interface is not my cup of tea but it cooks whatever I put in it well. I usually just set it to one of the presets and then adjust the temp/time as needed.
Easy enough to clean and the accessories that come with it are dishwasher safe.
I’ve only had it since May - so about seven months - and it’s still going about its business just fine.

I dunno man… I’ve been considering an air fryer for awhile now, but I definitely ain’t going to get one that can’t do a standard frozen pizza.
I prefer my air slow roasted.
@yakkoTDI you must be from Arizona, I’m in Mississippi and prefer my air boiled
@sixsmith Only been to Arizona once. I am West Central Florida.
When are we having Mehrathon?
I just had a thought, “GoWise” could be a good name for a line of incontinence products.

@awk Wouldn’t that be GoWhiz…?
@awk @ircon96
BWAHAHAHAHA
@awk GoWhiz…we may not be #1, but we ARE #2! Or, the #1 product for doing #2!
I heard Mary was holding out for the 4th wise man to bring an air fryer. Instead, she got a Meh man selling a GoWise.

@fuzzmanmatt The concept of “on/off” seems to to have vanished from most consumer product interfaces
@fuzzmanmatt I just pick one of the automatic modes and tweak the time if I need to. I like mine.
Come on, who would design a 12.7 quart air fryer?
Oh, it’s the 12 liter model. But not called that. Cuz, you know, GoWISE USA.
why do air fryers seem to come in either “micro” or “mega” sizes ?

@tarpaper Loved your review–made me smile
@Valkyrie1947 I just figured out what I would do with the attachments - store them in the big oven!

@datruandi I have one of these and really like it - it fits a full-sized pizza up to 12" - although if you’re talking about larger things like turkeys or something it’s too shallow, of course:

I don’t know about this. A leading, non-profit, consumer rating organization gives it the lowest rating of all their tested countertop ovens.
@vergilius1956 how can you trust someone unless profit is their motive?
