Google I/O 2017 thread
1So, who is going to be watching the Google I/O Keynote?
While I know that a lot of stuff is delivered by Google over the course of I/O, I make it a point to watch the Keynote.
While I am curious to see what they announce, as well as hope that they release the 2nd version of the Developer Preview for “O” (which is supposed to move from “alpha” to “beta”, as well as hopefully allow OTA registration for it instead of sideloading it), one of the biggest changes to Android in my opinion will be Project Treble, which, starting from “O” and on, takes Android and modularizes it.
From what the Android Developer blog hints at, it would significantly make it easier for updates to happen.
While it wouldn’t instantly solve one of the biggest problems for Android, it would be a giant step.

Who here will be watching the Keynote (in person or via streaming it)?
In the event that anyone here can’t do either (but really wants to), who will be following along via blogs or will be watching it after it finishes?
Livestream of the Keynote (which begins at 12 PM EST/ 9 AM Pacific):

Of course though, this thread shouldn’t be solely about watching the Keynote.
I would enjoy getting into discussions with people here about different things which Google announces.
I’ll just be seeing what new devices get announced later
