all last week and weekend, close or into the 90’s… and humid as hell… tonight, pants and a warm shirt… we haven’t had any rain here in 3 weeks either… ugghhh…

Completely concur. 90-100°F with 80-90% humidity down here in south Arkansas. One day two weeks ago it was 105°F actual and 115°F heat index. After 30 min of that crap your whole body is sapped of all energy.
Somehow my area has won the microclimate lottery for the last couple years. Last summer was one of the coolest on record (I think we broke 90 twice), and the last two winters have been unusually mild. This year is a bit more average, but it hasn’t been too bad yet. Then again, it usually doesn’t really start heating up until the end of July, so we’ll see.
@galmaegi Do you spend actual outdoor time in the hot TX weather or just enjoy the breaks in between all the over-air-conditioned spaces?

@galmaegi Oh, I see. You like the warm weather when you can hang out at the (cool) pool. I spent all weekend running around the ultimate/soccer fields in Richardson, TX without a wisp of cloud in the sky. HOT.

@galmaegi@katylava@dashcloud The water in some of the public pools gets warm enough that it’s not really refreshing anymore, but not usually until late July
/giphy it’s so damn hot anchorman
Damn, giphy, you suck.
@lisaviolet
My band rented a storage unit and we’re definitely paying for it now.
@vanslaterco Were you not paying for it before? Because technically I don’t think you can call that renting. It was closer to trespassing.
@nogoodwithnames
/giphy you have a point
@nogoodwithnames @therealjrn I had a funny /giphy word play joke planned but the giphy command won’t work.
@vanslaterco
/giphy damn giphy
@therealjrn DAMMIT JRN /giphy dammit jrn
Hot. And still June. At least 8-10 weeks to go.
It’s so hot, if you stop at a long red light, you start to sink into the softened asphalt.
@PocketBrain Ramps.
@narfcake
Was 113 here today. Meh. I’m used to it.

@mick Well, which is it? 50f or 50c? You either need to move somewhere with a warmer summer or somewhere with a much, much cooler summer.

Not even 7:30 in the morning.
81℉, feels like 95℉
83% humidity
Damn, I love hot weather. It’s been great!

But not Arizona hot, that’s just unnatural.
Especially with no DST, it’s over 100 by 10 AM.
@2many2no
@2many2no but at 7% humidity not that bad really
agreed. it was close to 82 here yesterday evening. i totally had to put ice in my water.

Sorry, I love this hot Texas weather. Feel like vacationing in Mexico or something.

@compunaut More like
@galmaegi my pool is too hot. i swim late in the evening now.
@katylava That’s crazy that it gets hot enough to warm up the pool to such a degree.
@katylava I thought you were joking. So the water gets hot?
@katylava We run our pool in the early hours so it’s not running during the day and there’s a warm layer on top, but under that is really nice.
