@awk The only reason they were ever regarded as unhealthy was because of the efforts of two unqualified nutrizealots who managed to leverage themselves into positions of unwarranted authority in the US, with results that have been disastrous for public health over the past 70 years. One of them was Jean Mayer. The name of the other escapes me at the moment. They are the reason for the adoption of the completely wrong “Fats bad, carbs good” dietary policy that kicked off the epidemic of diabetes and other nutritionally-driven chronic maladies both here and in much of the rest of the world.
@Endreo I have one a day with coffee for breakfast. They are a great source of fiber; a lot tastier than shredded wheat which is what I think of when I hear “fiber”.
@Kyeh@Tadlem43
Lots of (weird) KitKat flavors in Japan. My son brought back a bunch of them last time he visited there. Some were pretty good… some not so much.
@chienfou@Tadlem43 I’ve always been tempted to buy one of those mixed bags from Amazon but they’re so expensive. I did get some matcha green tea ones but I didn’t like them. My brother loved them though!
Smoothie made from frozen banana, ice cubes, strawberry puree, blueberries, & high-protein vanilla ‘shake’.
I also make a trail mix from peanuts, almonds, craisins, dried pineapple & dried banana bits.
Larabars.
I like raisins, peanuts, chocolate covered pretzels and wasabi peas.
Nobody goes to kale chips
KIND vanilla blueberry bars, or I will when they arrive.
Hard boiled eggs… I don’t know their current healthiness status though.
@awk Healthy, at least in terms of heart health. And delicious!

Honestly been using those dried mango bars from a deal a while ago as dessert replacements and they have been great.

Liquid yeast (beer).
“Semi” healthy, I’ve enjoyed both the mango bars and those Frookits. On my last three bags of the apricot ones.
Raw organic unsalted cashews. Nugo Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip protein bars.
Kit Kats. That’s a health food, right?
@Tadlem43 Have you had the mocha ones? I like them. They say coffee is good for you …
@Kyeh No, I haven’t… but I will!
I like the white chocolate ones, too.
@Tadlem43 Alf thinks so.
@macromeh LOL Funny!
@Tadlem43 Did you get the lemon ones at Easter? They were pretty good.
@macromeh @Tadlem43
NOT.
@Kyeh No. I didn’t even see them! I’ll watch out for them next year, for sure!
@Tadlem43 They were the minis, sold in bags in the Easter basket section.

@chienfou @Kyeh ewe… I don’t think I’d like those, either. I wonder if the Blueberry Muffin ones are good. Did you try those?

Trail mix, just almonds, cashews, and raisins, no M&Ms or whatever they throw into trail mix these days. And popcorn, my current addiction.
Vitimin M (aka M & M’s).
Clif Bars -oatmeal raisin
@vastomers Clif Bars has a ton of great flavours. Too bad most places don’t carry them and they have too much sugar.
