I have no garden, but I generally walk through one or two or three in DC every day. More often than not, one is a rose garden, so I literally take time to stop and smell the roses pretty much every day (that they're in bloom).
Beautiful!!! I love the time lapse series of pictures.
This is the small garden I tried to start this year (it was our first spring in our new house). It ended up just growing back the weeds that had been in it before so I don't have any "after"pictures.
...and this is the one the bird's created by dropping seeds out of the feeders...smh
I do LOVE the sunflowers though so I'm grateful to the birds...if a bit embarrassed lol
I love how you documented the sunflower growth! I have a plot in a community garden and forget to take pictures. I did replant seeds last Sunday for a late season harvest. If the seeds are still good and something grows I'll try to make an album. I also don't know how to post pictures :(
@DrunkCat IT'S MY BEAUTIFUL COUNTERTOP APARTMENT GARDEN TURN THAT INTO A :D RIGHT NOW
left is chili, middle is basil (just planted a week or so ago), right is mini tomatoes (just harvested a few days ago hence being so bare), extreme right is bubba vacuum bottle, extreme bottom right is a dish drying rack for that authentic apartment feel
@Lotsofgoats Aerogarden units are now sold as Miracle Grow. We've had a 3 and a 7 pod unit for years, and used to get quite a nice crop of herbs from them. Never had as much luck with tomatoes or peppers though.
Living in the Florida panhandle, there is no such thing as “dirt,” so most everything I try to keep alive here is in pots. During the winter it really looks like hell, all those pots of dirt filled with dead foliage. But with time. come spring all kinds of things come back from seed. It’s mainly impatiens, coleus, and wishbone plants. I also have a crazy purple petunia that pops up everywhere each spring, but right now they are blown and gone for the season. Everything pictured here looked much, much better a month ago. Summer is frying everything. The New Guinea impatiens were rescued from Lowe's last spring. They were $10 a dozen and looked like hell but they look good now in the deck planters.
beautiful! that would make a cool gif :) it was pretty awesome scrolling down and watching the plants grow.
sun flowers are my favorites :)
@vampje I thought it'd be neat as a gif too but I am no giffer.
Not really smooth or anything because I just used some random service:
@JonT Haha makes me wish I was more consistent with the pictures.
Holy helianthus! They're lovely…

@looseneck You should be able to just post a link to the picture itself. There's also an icon on the comment form for it too:

@Lotsofgoats that looks awesome to me, I had a :D from the beginning! What's your setup? I'm curious.
@Lotsofgoats What's the thing they're growing in?
@JonT it's a Click and Grow that I picked up at like half off (cuz they're unfortunately pricy otherwise)
there's also a Miracle Gro branded model I have that's bigger and easier to hack new pods into using internet instructions

Behold! It's a bit more Charlie Brown than Capability Brown.
