5 nancy kerrigan trading cards 1 bacon coffee mug 1 alligator toy 1 origami frog with hand drawn face and tattoo 1 half eaten bag of pork rinds 1 2012 avengers acura replica not pictured: 1 black meh fanny pack (because i didn't get a fuko and i'm just making all this shit up suckas)
@carl669 You got your's already? I'm not looking because I don't even have a tracking number yet. Also, Hollboll sent me an email asking for a phone number. I am scared and excited!
@carl669 So you are bored with nothing to do in the middle of the day and played belated April Fool's. It worked! I've seen the extras others have received and I can't wait to see what shows up :) My first fuko/fuku and I feel privileged to be singled out.
@sligett i think i actually got those a few years ago in a bag of crap. i didn't know what to do with them, so i put them up outside my cube at work. new people would ask, "are you a really big nancy kerrigan fan?" and i would just say, "no. she's my cousin."
@DrunkCat see? now why would you want some janky-ass frog when you've clearly got better skills? i think maybe you should bombard Meh HQ with origami figures galore!
@carl669 On old roommate's brother writes origami books which include mostly original origami figures and does the origami column in the sw airlines magazine. I think he is the one who made that pterodactyl out of the pizza box for that TV commercial. At least it looked like him and he has the skill set needed to invent how to make one and then do it.
@carl669@carl669 yes that is the commercial. Just googled who was the actor now that you found the commercial and it wasn't my roommate's brother (although they look very similar). And he certainly could have designed and created it. My roommate's brother who writes these books, etc. is Johnny Montroll. Once in college I went to their house and his dresser was not full of clothes. Nope. It was full of origami figures he had made. And there was a "leaf pile" of them on the floor probably 3' high as well. Some incredible stuff. One book he wrote he said he got tired drawing figures and so quit with one complicated figure. He said he figured if people had gotten that far they'd be able to figure out how to finish it. LOL
@hollboll Oh man @hollboll that was the best burn! You are seriously like one of the greatest people ever. Your wit and humor are seriously top notch. I love you. Also, this has nothing at all to do with getting my fuku shipped. Just sayin :)
@hollboll Sorry, I just got caught up in the anticipation and excitement! Looks like I am indeed at the bottom of the list, as tracking shows no movement for either tracking number as yet! I will continue to wait patiently, though :)......F5....F5.....F5...
@phonorad i think the natural conclusion to the april's fools joke, is THERE WILL BE NO SHIPMENTS, just double shipping notices, worth two.fiddy each and when 'the pouters' see this they will all renew their VMP status since the joke really was on the 'winners'
@awk Same here, also for 4/15. My theory, which I posted on the main thread, is that they're sending us a box of tissues to everyone in advance of the actual Fuko.
@webender Mine shows shipped. However, tracking by reference at Fedex still shows only the 2nd package being sent. -- Which may be the only thing which actually is sent. This being Meh, a Fuko, and an April Fools' day event and all.
Anyway, it appears that a 2lb box of misfortune left Hutchins, TX at 9:16 this morning en route to Portland, OR.
@Conklaven Got Shipment Notice this morning and it's Already across town. Actually I was just next to it earlier tonight... But of course with Smartpost Scheduled delivery is not till the 13th... 4 days to go 15 miles fun times.
I'm assuming someone accidentally pushed a button twice, hence all the double tracking numbers. I seem to remember it may have happened once before in the past
@lordbowen Mine ended up in Placitas, NM last night which, while geographically closer, seems like an odd "you can't get there from here" location to transfer things.
But then Smartpost's logistics tend not to make much sense to me in the first place. Most shipments will be scanned 10 miles away in Troutdale, OR, but will then be sent 160 miles away to Kent, WA for transfer via USPS back to Portland.
@legett11 That was my original thought as well. However with the square fence he needs to go around. So he couldn't get to the south east corner the full 30 feet from the point he is tied. So he is not able to eat in a complete full circle.
Edit: If it was a short fence and his rope could go over the top then 2,727.43 is correct. Never thought about that. Damnit @KDemo thanks for not giving us a complete question.
@MrMark it does say "the goat in unable to graze inside the fenced enclosure". i'd make the assumption if he could get inside, he would be able to graze. therefore, he cannot get inside. Q.E.D.
@MrMark There needs to be a prize for doing this...(doing the math). I took one look and said. No way. I am not thinking. I am not doing math. I am not deciding how many decimal points you need with pi, I am not thinking... I am not doing math... I just graded a zillion annual report assignments (zillions of different companies) with 239 cells to put answers in and I had to check all sorts of bullshit math and industry ratios and etc for each student (you'd think they'd be smart enough to set up themselves to have excel do the math for them - nope errors all over the place and these are MBA students at a school where they are reasonably smart - at least theoretically anyway) and even though I had an excel spreadsheet set up with the formulas to copy paste I never want to see another number again in my life. OMG I hate finance (part of an intro course I teach with no control over syllabus, assignments...). Right now I am not sure I could figure out how many pennies it takes to get 5 cents, let alone goat grazing area...
@MrMark I came up with what you came up with initially, but then broke my head mulling over how it didn't quite seem right. The spot the goat can't reach is an awkward shape caused by the overlap of the two 40′ circles centered on the NE and SW corners of the fence. The 20′ circle centered on the SE corner of the fence is seemingly immaterial. The solution @kdemo linked to seems more right, but I don't know. I need a nap. Here's my goat map:
@KDemo I gave this a go (because what is more fun than math), and the trick for me was to bisect the fenced area along the diagonal. My scribblings boil down to the following solution for a fence of length F and rope of length R:
For the given lengths, I get 2661.569 sq ft
However in the "real world" (whatever that is) I would probably just replace a few of the tricky shapes with approximate triangles and call it a day...
@brhfl Yep I think you are right. I guess that's why I should draw things to scale, would of noticed that. I gave it a go and came up with the shape you did. Looks like @awk came up with a more correct answer.
Hopefully my overestimation by 9 feet isn't the amount between life and death of the goat.
Still processing. I assume that's because it takes a while to get enough bags of Texas air to properly cushion a 2016 Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883. (Hint, hint!)
Is this the actual reveal thread? Because I just got mine:
Texas air (not pictured).
VHS/DVD recorder. For playback of DVDs and VHS tapes, or for transferring a DVD to VHS or vice versa. An orange sticker on the side says it's defective in that it eats tapes. I sure hope that got fixed!
PCHLife electric massager. I'm going to have to give this a try.
@DrunkCat Every single one of these looks like something my girlfriend would already own. (In fact, I know she has the air purifier, because I ordered one for her.)
@legett11 check the email you have on your meh account, check the spam filter, I hope they are not asking you for a physical address verification... if they are be afraid... very afraid....
@thismyusername@juststephen thanks guys! I checked spam, but I usually get meh emails, so no worries there, and my order still says processing in my account. Luckily for me, I just bought a house so in a couple weeks I'll move in and have a garden for all those coffee dregs I'm getting :)
@clark8am step 1. take some pics step 2. get them on your pc step 3. goto imgur.com and click on "upload images" step 4. click "browse your computer" and select the image(s) from 1 and 2 step 5. click "start upload" step 6. copy the "direct link" on the right and paste it here in the forum step 7. (optional) click the "get deletion link" and store it in a notepad file in case you ever need to delete the photo. step 8. enjoy all the stars.
@lishatanay The only unlucky thing I see here is that you received this bag instead of me.
I actually need a new shower curtain, and that one looks cool. My two young daughters would probably like playing with the camera watches, and they would definitely love the My Little Pony book. Personally, I wouldn't be too interested in the book since I am not really a brony and only really watch every episode because they enjoy it so much.
@lishatanay You didn't mention if you have the homedics massager. If you don't, I'd gladly take the gels off your hands.... happy to pay shipping and stuff...
@ACraigL I don't have a massager. I will check to see if I can ship to you from my job. They hook us up wish shipping. The perks of working at a large sex toy retailer. :)
@lishatanay Oh thanks! This might be a dumb way to do it, but I grabbed an address from one of those temporary email services. If you reply to it, I can send you my info.
I'll have to post pictures of the rest later, but I think this is officially the oddest thing I've gotten.
There's a bunch of other stuff in there, but I can't manage to fully open the tackle box right now. There's a bunch of loose sharp hooks, so I need to wait until I have time to get some tools. I'm not really sure what to think of this one, it's cool, but a little sketchy that there are loose hooks.
@Zelucifer@funkboy3 Those tackle boxes are hilarious. I have a feeling I'll be joining your ranks soon. 32.5 lbs Fuko is coming my way tomorrow. Can't imagine what else it could be but a rusty tackle box filled with rocks!
several bags of wholesome Texas air (likely refurbished)
one sheet of obvious Chinese rip-off air
beautiful black Fuku bag
TWO Outback Steakhouse "wacky wobbler" dolls
one "shaving set" toy
one "not charging" Meta smartwatch
one Moto smart bracelet, condition unknown, will not fit my hairy man-wrist
not pictured: an unshakable sense of despair and disappointment
I'll (re)-use the shipping box and of course the Fuku bag, and I've already released and experienced the rich complexities of Texas air. I will try mating and breeding the two wacky wobbler dolls when conditions allow.
@awk dude in no way do get to play the "an unshakable sense of despair and disappointment" card. FOr the 99.9% of us who tried and failed... to bitch about what you got is a tad insulting. haha.
I left work early today and waiting at home was my FUKO box! Beside the required bags of air (not sure if Teaxan or Chinese air...) I received: - Memorex CD player w/ orange defective tag ("door won't shut") Very little hope for this one, but may be a good am/fm for the garage.. - Sherwood DS-10 docking station - refurb. Haven't opened the box, high hopes for this one. -Star Wars Ep 1. Obi-Wan Costume for 3-4 year old (Damn! I'll have to find a costume that fits me!) Will re-gift this to one of the kiddies! - Aliens Queen watch (Tail wraps around wrist!) Another re-gift to one of the kiddies! - Fuko bag - yes, all the shoppers at the grocery store will be envious! 3" Post-it note with "19" written on it. Guess I was #19 in a line of boxes as they distributed things....
@cation The mask IS somewhat creepy. And I'm sure the if the costume got within 5 feet of an open flame... well, then it would be a Johnny Human Torch costume sold by Irwin Mainway of Mainway Novelties.
@transplant Your memorex CD player will have an 3.5 mm port, you could plug in an old android phone /tablet and use it for streaming internet radio, pod casts.
I wanted to add, thanks Meh, this is my first bag and my first time being really active in the forum. Loving th unlucky bag...no if I can figure out what a certain audio/video file is on the spy watch.
Got mine today... Picture later: Star wars action figure Kevin Dundon Hamburger maker Bluray player with wifi for netflix and other apps Transformers 15 inch laptop sticker Meh black bag
Meh Bag Umbrella (woohoo) Spiderman wall decal Non working BT speaker/light Colts ceramic serving dish Half a body
Box was completely open, but I doubt anything was lost. Maybe it was the rest of the body escaping. Entertainment value was worth the price of admission.
@MEHcus I think it would be much more fun to dress it up in creepy attire, and strategically place it around the house to scare the crap out of my wife.
Picked up my Fuko this afternoon. It came with the very ominous sound effects of something broken, which the clerk at my PMB remarked upon and said the Postal carrier did likewise.. Not good... Box itself arrived nicely intact.
Upon opening, I think I have a pretty good idea what the source of clinking shards is.. It certainly appears that the 26 hermetically sealed samples of Irk's breath weren't going to do much good here..
Yep, it's the coffeemaker.. Leaving me to wonder if it's worth checking it out and replacing the carafe or sending the whole thing into the dumpster unopened. Ok, well that's a major misfortune, the Fuko lives up to its reputation.
Next we have a kid's "Adventure Time" neck pillow. I don't recognize the graphics. I wonder how many tiny shards of glass are embedded in this thing? The CPSC will get the vapors just thinking about that.
Next up is a defective Blu-Ray player.. "No, no... That's not a bug, that's a feature! As your movie skips randomly, you may come up with a million dollar re-edit of a classic!"
We got a very well packaged.... Turd? It's supposed to be a ceramic toothbrush holder in the shape of an alligator. But it looks like a turd to me...
Finally , we got the expected Fuko bag, Now with extra shards of glass!
@ciabelle The carafe is replaceable.. I found one at Walmart for 10ish bucks. I did get the coffee maker from Meh I could take a reference pic for you to get the right one if you need.
@sohmageek I pretty much fucking hate periscope. I mean, yeah, if you absolutely only want something to be visible for the shortest possible time, sure.
I got - kaloric deep-fryer - Funia bluray player - star-wars kids outfit - metal collectible lunchbox and Meh bag all in my 18.8 lbs box! Thanks MEH! Picture maybe in the future... probably not im lazy``
Black Fukobukuro bag (cool) Pretty doll will missing foot and broken leg Yurbuds Venture Pro (new in slighty squished box) Toy Story shower curtain rings Star Wars ruler Two-pack leakfrogs Cinderella watch with dead battery Two Insteon wifi cameras (only one antenna)
This was my first Fuko/Fuku; I was quite pleased with it overall.
So my husband's (@Griz, but he doesn't do forums) Fuko came in today. There was excitement, disappointment, some fixing, more excitement, and then disappointment again. It's a fun ride. So, here's pics of what we scored:
The receiver had a note that said "no sound". When my husband powered it up, the headphone icon was showing. So, I headed to google and he opened it up. We fixed the problem and I paired my phone and we had music. Yay!
Right after I took this picture, it shut off. Hence the current disappointment. It stays on for a minute or so while playing music, then shuts off. So, now we're trying to figure that out. If we can, I'll be thrilled, for sure.
My kids are going to flip over the ET book. They're way too old for it, but they just watched ET for the first time about two weeks ago (it's on Netflix now, yay!) so I think they'll get a kick out of it. The video copter thing may or may not work. It didn't look opened, thought the packaging was a little messed up, so we'll see. I doubt we'll find a use for the lunch bag, I but I love the black tote. Thanks, Meh!
Ugh, so many typos in the last paragraph. I was rushing to finish the post so I could look up something for my husband. Please don't judge me for the typos!
@Ignorant Hmm, maybe you're on to something. It could be that Meh had already judged me and knew this which is why we got a decent box even though we were in before the CAPTCHAS. haha
@PurplePawprints Not sure how far you made it through your PhD in Micro-Electronics Engineering, but if you want to venture fixing it yourself--I'd start with checking for exploded capacitors on the main board. My experience with "it stays on for X minutes" is that a capacitor blew up somewhere.
@Konraden I'm fairly certain they only had early morning classes and I kept sleeping through them until I finally just changed my major. Therefore, I don't even know what a capacitor looks like. My husband is slightly more knowledgeable about things of a fixable nature, so I'll pass that info along to him. Thank you!
@PurplePawprints OK! I got one of those in a fuku bag a couple of Fuku's ago, the shutting off thing, get better speakers for it or play it at a lower volume. I found that it somehow knew I was using cheap speakers off a small radio and to save the speakers it would shut off. I got bigger speakers and can now crank it up to max volume!
Got my 5.9lb no-captcha Fuko today, it contained: 1 Kevin Dundon burger maker 1 Outback Wacky Wobbler 1 Special K measuring cup 1 defective ("doesn't charge") Eclipse 4GB video player as well as the requisite bag.
Received my 5.9lb 13x13x13 Fuko today The Haul: 1 Special K Measuring Cup 1 defective [marked "doesn't connect to phone"] IZON 2.0 Wi-Fi Video Monitor 1 Alien Queen Wristwatch 1 Infinity Key Combo 8" Micro USB Case Keyboard 1 Quirky x GE Egg Minder 1 Meh Black Fukobukuro Bag
The wifi vid cam did appear to have connection issues but with a few resets and some other methods it works good as new!
@mbenson43 The Egg Minder will change your life*. No more worrying if you need to stop and pick eggs after work. You will always know. Seeing this made me worry I may need eggs, but luckily I was able to check and see I still have 6 eggs left.
*Actually it's a pretty pointless gizmo that may be racist...my eggs are actually brown.
@SpenceMan01 Interesting. Mine has been pretty much spot on. I was actually kind of surprised. But to be honest I never really check the app, so I guess it could of been wrong and I just didn't know. This has the best item I've gotten out of a Fuku. Well that and the Beavis action figure. That says more about my luck with Fukus than it does with the quality of the items mentioned above.
@mbenson43 I bought a bunch of Egg Minders as gag gifts for friends. The fun part is watching their increasingly desperate attempts to connect it to WiFi. The pairing mechanism consists of placing the phone above it while the screen emits a seizure-inducing light show.
It's a clever trick (and possible cost-cutting measure) but shockingly unreliable. On failure you only get cryptic red and orange LED blinks as feedback.
The thing does work once you set it up, though the Wink app is kind of clunky (if you have GE home automation stuff that also uses that, I feed bad for you).
Ouch, extra crappy bag this time. - NickZone Lunch box (got this before) - Spider man watch (does not work, or fit my wrist) - Napoleon Dynamite photo album (got this before) - USB Hub Man (got this before) - Toshiba laptop charger - Camera cord? - Fuko Bag
Fedex said 11x11x11 only 3.8lb.. when i saw the mailman walking in with a big box i got excited they messed up the weight. Ended up being 17x14x14 3 pounds :(
@looseneck My actual fuko: Talking Dennis Miller doll Transformers tin sign Dolphin shower curtain Soundboard Powerplus portable speaker (note: not charging) Samsung Bluetooth headset Black Fuko bag
@hashybrown Oops, that should have read Transformers laptop skin and Futurama collectible tin sign. It says 'Don't let the human race destroy outer space!'
@looseneck Is that the 'witty, cerebral' Dennis Miller or the 'what the fuck is he doing in the NFL booth' Dennis Miller, or the 'I'm suddenly a raging right wing lunatic' Dennis Miller?
@cinoclav - I had the same thought. I had a lifesize cardboard Dennis Miller from when he repped Miller beer - don't want to say what happened to it after he defected.
@cinoclav It's talk-show host DM - "You'd like to get an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth with terrorists but every time I see them on TV all their teeth are rotted out of their heads or else they've lost an eye because they saw a chick's ankle somewhere along the way"
It still works even thought the proprietary batteries have been in his body since 2003. Doesn't look like the box has been opened. I have to buy batteries from [redacted].
Where did Dennis Miller go? He's disappeared. Was there a scandal? Off to Google for answers!
@cinoclav@looseneck I assume what @KDemo's talking about is when Miller stopped being funny. I'm not just being partisan. His frenetic, wandering, intelligent, broadly derisive rants were amazing. And I knew then that he and I didn't necessarily agree politically (at least not all of the time), but he made me laugh. Every time I've heard him lately, he just sounds like a lazy, hateful hack who's being paid by the RNC to regurgitate talking points. If I were a conservative, I'd feel ripped off. It's like he's phoning it in. But I suppose that's good enough for FOX.
@looseneck - @cinoclav & @looseneck are right. I just meant he defected from the land of logic. Doubly disappointing because he once was so sharply snarky and culturally savvy. Hateful hack, indeed.
wonder pet costume built kindle fire case my little pony popup song book bottle topper (rudolph!) fisherman certificate 147' of ......led lights? what do I do with all these lights?
@BabyBear I was thinking more along the lines of "dear god I've gotten married, had a kid, haven't had sex in 14 months, given up on my dreams and I'm not respected at work."
My 25.2 box came today. It included some (mostly popped) Texas air. A Darth Maul rubber mask An Alien watch (i thought it was a toy figurine but the tail wraps around your wrist). A Contigo coffee mug the Meh bag and the heavy item. A Pioneer VSX-524-K receiver. Not sure if it works yet. It's a Meh return but no stickers saying why it was returned.
Meh Bag Star Wars Ruler Shower Hooks Kevin Dundon Burger Maker SJ-Series gyro 3.5ch helicopter (Box damaged by the sheer weight of the burger maker) Overall, well meh...
@mcanavino If you are serious about wanting to share one of you black fuko bags, I didn't get one and would love to have it. Happy to pay any ship. If you decide to keep it, that's good too. You can @ me here and then I'll give you my email addy if yes. Thanks !
Mine arrived as well. Included in the box of joy was:
The Fuko bag (not pictured) A 4 year old HP digital camera An Adventure Time travel pillow An alligator shaped toothbrush holder (or turd shaped as commented above) And a Funai VHS and DVD player helpfully labeled "Defective" and "No Play Back"
Oh, and a lot of laughs and fun as we dug through.
@Cloudscout the SD card was "empty" but running a data recovery on it, it revealed about 20 pictures and a few test videos. Nothing exciting. Looks like the original owner was testing it out on 12/22/15 and 12/23/15. Mainly a few selfies of an older gentlemen and a few shots of who I assume is his wife sitting in a chair. The most amusing thing was to see the box for the camera sitting on a tray table in a few of the pictures. I have attached one below but have blurred all but the camera box to protect the original owners.
My First Fuku/Fuko. I wouldnt say im disappointed. 2 Nick Zone lunch bags Kevin Dundon(seems to be heating fine) Funai Blu-ray with a labelled defective remote(need to test the unit..im a netflix guy) and ofcos meh bag cuddling some texas air packs
Greeted by an early arrival of the Fuku box today.
• Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker, used and a little fingerprinty no obvious defective sticker so we'll see • Funai Blu-ray/DVD player with built-in Wifi LAN. Again, no signs of anything wrong on the packaging • Adventure Time travel pillow • Barbie Fashion Accessories teeny purse & matching gloves
Not as horrible a Fuku as people implied, will buy again! (And I was a pre-Captcha buy too, fwiw)
Fukubukuro tote bag (the real gem here) Spool of light cable (w/ hundreds of mounting brackets) Star Wars ruler Hondo glasses & coasters Halo flashlight Creepy/Gorgeous doll Olivia Newton John 8 Track
@ahqaz@Cloudscout You can sing along to your Fuko with her #1 hit "I honestly love you" on that 8 Track. ONJ was the very first concert I ever went to. I think I still have a crush on her.
@joelmw I think that final outfit is what actually gave me the crush. I was just about 9 years old when Grease was released. My young hormones were still finding their way to the vital parts of my body. When ONJ shows up with that skintight outfit, well...
A few years old, but she's still smoking hot in leather.
@cinoclav Yeah, I was 14, a theologically, morally, socially, culturally conservative Christian (my politics were already starting to skew way to the left, but at that age, almost everything else was conservative) and I really liked that wholesome, sweet, innocent purity thing she had going. Actually, in retrospect, I may have been bothered as much by the fact that the character earlier in the film was a caricature. I just really didn't like that film. It may have been too cynical for me then. I was totally Mary Ann over Ginger then too. And just the whole "girl next door" simplicity thing.
I also had a weird view of media then too. Probably a lot of that was the religion.
An older, less religious me most likely would have appreciated the leather a lot more. It's difficult to dissociate the disillusionment though.
My wife looks great in leather and stripper heals, and that works for me, FWIW. Maybe that's TMI.
Woah, nelly! My package was handed off to the USPS today and will be delivered tomorrow or Friday. It has suddenly morphed into a 17x17x17 monster, weighing almost 19 pounds. Holy moly!
In increasing order of value: - 45 ft of working rope light - Meh bag - Neck pillow from Adventure Time - 12 sealed bags of TX air - Alien figurine - 3 empty bags of TX air - VHS/DVD combo player (dumpster bound, even if it works, or perhaps Salvation Army)
I got my 8.3-lb non-captcha Fukobukuro 3 days early, and it contains:
Kevin Dundon burger maker Coor's Light cap Nick Tune Lunch Bag defective Funai Blu-Ray player fukobukuro bag (I want the pouch bag that was sent out last year)
Overall, I am not disappointed at all. Thanks meh!
Haven't read up here yet but here's my 24x24x12" Fuko haul:
Meh black Fukobukuro bag. I tried to Google Translate the Japanese by drawing the symbols when it wouldn't recognize them from a photo and I got "Re Car Unit".
Alien watch thing, I swear I got one of these in a previous Fuku
Toy Story shower curtain rings, my nephews will enjoy them
Kevin Durant or whatever burger maker, basically a George Foreman grill shaped in such a way as to only be good for burger-shaped things
Cobra jump starter/DC power/air compressor/AC inverter box. Dead battery, no charger included, maybe something I have will work. Or maybe it's worthless.
Overall, not too unlucky in my book. Thanks (I think), Meh!
A sweet set of Cobra walkies. I sent my kid to the corner park with one, and I was able to get his ass back in the house without me hollering at him, or heaven forbid, walking to the park...
@Dizavid I believe I am doing my kids a disservice if I do not let them make mistakes now when the stakes are low. This means they have to have some freedom! Plus, things have gotten out if control. We are going to end up with generations of praise junkies who expect to be bailed out of their problems because they "deserve it". Kids gotta be kids. That's how you figure out how the world works, and how to deal with that world.
7.9 lbs, but the weight was obviously manipulated. BACTrack Keychain Silly Surfers Model Midland Action Cam (720p) The weird throw that I took the picture on Fuko bag Chas. W Shonk coin counting bank doesn't work and the base is kinda off, but could be neat for a collector. Quick search turned a few up on ebay.
Inside was: - Small pile of Texas air - Fuko bag (to add to my growing collection) - An Anakin Skywalker costume in size small for 3-4 year olds (looks like it was opened before, but Yippee!) - A Realistic condenser microphone with $15 label still attached (reviews look awful) - A set of RMA Uniden 2-way radios (with Defective Item Tag still attached) - A blue polka-dotted piggy bank
I haven't yet tested the mic or the radios, but the piggy bank is adorable and will become my new coin jar. And I'm trying to convince people to attempt to squeeze into the costume, but my persuasion skills appear to need a lot of work. Ah well, was worth a shot anyway.
Thanks Meh! Enjoyed the random silliness once again.
Got mine 7.7 lbs 14in^3 box today, it was already half-opened! And it appeared while no one was watching, very curious!
10x Packs of Precious Texas Air 1x Darth Maul Mask 1x Kevin Dundon Hamburger Cooker 1x Insulated NickZone Lunch box 1x SJ-Series Crushed Helicopter (Working after fixed bent landing gear!) 1x Seriously Mangled Package of Cobra Radios (Which appear to work, missing instruction manual) and the pièce de résistance 2x Black Fuko Bags
I figured if I got one bag it would be worth it, but two? Wow!
Mine arrived today in the biggest box I have ever gotten from the Post Office 12 x 24 x 24 but only 8.3 lbs.
And now for the contents
-Fuko bag -Alien Queen watch (will hang nicely by the tail from my day pack) -Spider Man watch -Meep!X2 children's tablet with Post-it note saying not charging. But it seemed to charge fine on my phone charger and boots up. -Sort of a hamburger waffle iron endorsed by an Irish Chef.
First Time I've done this, so gimme a break. Also, first time i won something, so I am just thrilled beyond belief. Tried back in woot days, and tried in meh-days--and then I got one! And I'm just oozing enthusing because I this it's incredible, that back in the day Matt started this thing, and had a ball with it, and then sold it.And 'They' said ok, you can't do this for awhile, and he said "o.k.", and went and played. And 'a while' went by and Matt said "I want to do it again, I think". And he did and Bam! ---well, that just went incredible. So,I just think that whole thing is incredible, and congratulations. So I got the mail today and sent out a pic or two of the box asking "Does that look like $5 worth?" (I didn't even wait for a reply, because I was already too excited anyway, and I think for $5 this is a beautiful boxx). I put the water bottle there for scale, and I put a miniature Marvin and a miniature toy soldier made 'to scale' . So, it's a picture using scale with miniatures made to scale. I think it's just beautiful-the box, that is. I was going to reward myself today after I got a few things done and open it. But the day went by fast and I got tired, and I realize it might be full of packing peanuts and pork rinds, so this box might be the best part of the deal. I'm still really, really excited. Like Too Excited to open it. I'll probably open it tomorrow and take a pic or two. I was thinking of taking a picture a day and posting them, but thought that that would even annoy me half to death. The box itself doesn't really seem to have any clues--not even an arrow on the box saying "This end up." I do think, however, that I can rule out a wide-screen tv. It took awhile to upload--images would not upload and finally I had to do an update, with 13 pieces, so that took awhile and it's 3:05am right now. I'm going to bed, really, really excited, and trying to keep perspective that this box might indeed be the best part. I'm eating a Cutie mandarin orange right now thinking how similar they are. Sometimes you get a bag of cuties and they're the best mandarins in the world, and other times, they are just "Meh". Sorry for the long post,I get weird late at night, and it's really too late for me. And, I really didn't read the other posts or look at the pictures, because I didn't want to ruin the surprise to myself. (I hope this is the right thread for it--I Really, really, didn't look that close.) Hope the image works out. [img][/img]
@wew I loved your long, rambling post. It conveys the depth of your excitement perfectly! I really, really, really hope you got something beyond amazing!
@wew I approve of this rambley, too-long-to-read-but-I-fucking-read-it-anyway, emotion-filled big tease of a post. And don't be fooled, @looseneck and @cinoclav think you're adorable, they just have a weird way of saying it.
@joelmw I loved reading it. A fresh take on something that I get excited about but don't show anymore. Probably from all the Bags of Crap from Woot! I've purchased let's me know I won't win the lottery here on Meh and their Fuku
Well, it arrived yesterday and I promised myself I wouldn't open it until my beloved Tampa Bay Lightning scored their first goal. They scored (and eventually won) and I opened and didn't score (totally lost...) prepare to be jealous all of you Funai blueray wifi DVD winners. • 6 bags of sumptuous heartland of America air (4 unfilled) • approximately 12 inches of swanky bubble wrap • a kiddie shaving set marked 98 cents • jbuds earbuds (I already have 4 sets) • Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer bottle topper • classy bulldog ceramic mug (near miss guys, I own a pug) • carabiner with LED flashlight and compass from a company in my birthplace of Toronto • a snazzy black meh shopping bag • and the coup of all gras'- a 1960 Baia ultra vue 35 automatic slide viewer in tip- top mint condition. Notice the thrift store torn off tag still attached. Still untested, but if this thing works, the joke is on you cuz the rents must have a bundle of these useless things in a box somewhere. I'm gonna revisit the past someday soon! The cats didn't come in my fuko, but I'm thinking about sending them back.
@spectra242 Just an aside but kudos to your Lightning for a quality moment of silence before the game for my Flyer's beloved Ed Snider. They kept it classy, unlike the Penguins fans who yelled insults during their short tribute.
@cinoclav Yeah, the folks in Tampa aren't notorious for reprehensible behavior like some other cities. Owner Jeff Vinik has really made the bolts organization thrive.
@spectra242 I respect the Lightning a lot. Definitely one of the teams I'd prefer to see win it all if I can't have my team do it (which they won't this year.) Good luck to your boys!
How to describe my fuko.....meh. Perfect word. It was so meh.
The fuko bag. A pokemon wall decal A small room air purifier An enGenius outdoor internet thing and A broken toy duck that waddles over to you when you blow the whistle
You know how plastic gets really, really brittle when it's old? Apparently, that's what happened to the duck's head. And it looked like someone hit it with a hammer or something because the head was in pieces in the box. And I don't care if I love glue, I had no interest in gluing it back together to see if it worked.
For the first time, there was nothing in this box that I had any use for. Disappointment, thy name was Dianne.
Until I took the box it all came in with the broken duck box inside, walked it out to the dumpster and my husband was in the car, car running because he had take a shipment down to UPS. I looked at him, I pulled out the duck toy box and showed it to him (like Vanna White). Then I pulled out the pieces of duck. He just started laughing. Sitting there behind the wheel of the car, laughing his head off. He yelled out the question "did you get a picture?" Yeah, I did. Not worth the effort to share.
But somehow, his laughter put this whole thing in perspective. And I went back in the house and made a lasagna. It was good.
@lisaviolet Everybody who read this is mentally saying 'Mmmm...lasagna!' Guess what I'm fixing for dinner, after I go get some ricotta, and noodles, and sausage. Thanks for the update!
@OldCatLady Good choice with the Ricotta. Nothing more disappointing to me than seeing a beautiful lasagna and biting into it to discover cottage cheese.
Any cottage cheese in lasagna fans here? Explain your reasoning please.
Cats are Pancho and Sagwa. The steps are made out of foam and glued together so Miss Elizabeth, the 22 year old, can get up on the sofa and into the window. And I forgot to list out that totally awesome metal Memphis Belle trash can.
@lisaviolet I installed several of those access points years ago for a client, from what I recall they weren't too bad, if you need wifi outdoors or in a big area. But it's not something everyone needs.
Thanks for the link to the lasagna recipe, now I'm hungry!
@MrMark I use homemade cashew cheese in an effort to avoid dairy. And I buy grain-free lasagna noodles (almond meal and tapioca starch). Is that worse than cottage cheese, in your book?
As it turns out, though, I like cheese too much to stay away. I've been eating it like crazy and stopped making my lasagna. I could use a good lasagna recipe if you, or anyone else, would like to share.
Pretty average fuko I think: Kevin Dundon hamburger griller - will def use Meh bag - going with all the other bags Transformers 15" laptop sticker/cover - using on laptop nick zone lunch cooler - will use at somepoint and 1 bluray player marked as defective - As you can see the disc drive is stuck, no matter, I just shoved that back in and will use it for the other features like netflix... I mean, who really uses actual discs these days anyways?!
I received my fukobukuro (11.5 lbs and 16x16x16) today. It contained a neck pillow, a Nick Zone lunchbox, a defective memorex boombox, a refurbished 2 TB G-Drive, and the meh bag. I tried the boombox and it worked fine for about 5 minutes - will have to look into more this weekend.
@juststephen - It seems to be pretty random on the items so I would say it's just a coincidence for the weight and dimensions. Note: the actual box size was 12x24x24 compared to the 16x16x16 that fedex listed.
My Fuko arrived one day early! 25.3 pounds of excitement and wonder.
First, the box:
Definitely bigger than the 17x17x17 spec given by Fedex. Is that good thing? Is that a bad thing? Let's find out:
At a glance, I see Spider-Man and rusty metal. Hmmm.... This is when the fear sets in.
But when I pull everything out of the box:
Woo hoo! Amazing haul!
• (1) Spider-Man giant wall Grafix. My kids aren't into the web-slinger and my wife may object to putting this in our bedroom, so I may have some nice wall art for the workshop.
• (1) Fuzzy Get Cozy blanket. Blankets are ALWAYS put to good use in this drafty house. This one will, I'm sure, be used during episodes of Better Call Saul.
• (1) Meta Smartwatch with a return sticker that says "does not chg." I thought that meant does not charge, but autocorrect wants to change it to "does not chug," so let's go with that. I don't want a smart watch chugging all my beer, anyway.
• (1) Fuko bag in my favorite color, black.
And the coupe de Seville (which I think is French for "rusty old ten-gallon can")... • (1) Rusty old ten-gallon can!!! Compete with some old spider egg sacs inside! I love it! I have this industrial 1930's rust theme going on in my office and this sucker will fit right in! Honestly, Meh, how did you know?
So, sure, I didn't get the 2016 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883 I was hoping for, but this is almost as good!
@rv617 So, it turns out autocorrect was... well, correct. The Meta Smartwatch does charge. And it hasn't chugged a single beer. That's a win-win for me!!!
@rv617 The rusty can looks like an old milk can. They used to be very collectable back in the day when everyone went crazy for Early American furniture.
@Teripie That's what I figured it was. But then I googled the manufacturer (Geo Ellis and Sons, Inc.) and discovered that it seems to be a 10-gallon oil/gas can. Possibly from the 1920s or 1930s. Pretty cool.
Star Wars Episode 1 Anakin Skywalker child's Halloween costume (unused in original packaging, but the mask is dried out so a little crumbly) Set of 12 Toy Story shower curtain hooks (seems to be new in box) Rival vacuum sealer (refurb) Kevin Dundon burger machine (new in box) Meh Fuku bag
No GoPros or juicers or blurays for me; well worth more than the $10 I paid, but pretty useless overall yet still fun.
(I hope they put those knock off GoPros they had last month back up for sale, I really want something like that.)
I was able to grab my first deal on the Fuko. I had no idea how awesome this was going to be. 12.1 lbs in my mailbox right now for when I get home, excited to report. This community is awesome.
Pretty excited about this! I got a resident evil wall decal, a wine glass that says "I'm leaving his ass" (that my wife can't stop laughing at), an Icoffee Jet brewer (yay!), a meh bag, and... and a dash console from a very old car? hahahaha
Excited about the ICoffee, because we definitely need a new coffee pot... but the box looks damaged so I don't have a lot of hope. Of course the wine glass was intact sooo...
@march5th00 Now I'm curious as to what kind of car that came from. It looks pretty small and obviously was not embedded in the dash itself. Some sort of roadster maybe? Any car guys on here that might know?
@cinoclav looks like the whole dash cluster from probably the late 40s, early 50s era. The steering columns were that small. The graphics on the gauges make me think Ford product. This whole post is just a guess.
@zachdecker@march5th00@cinoclav reproduction selling for 499. I'm going to guess you have the real deal. Maybe worth something on ebay. Junk isn't always junk.
My 8.2 lb box was on the porch by noon today. aaannnd
1 meh bag 1 set Toy Story shower curtain hooks 1 returned defective (static) bluetooth speaker 2 of the most useless internet-enabled device ever created. WiFi enabled egg trays and 1 broken wine glass
Hey Meh! does that "No broken glasses" policy extend to Fukos?
Luckily it was all contained in the packaging, no glass shards in the box.
I received: The dvd/vcr (defective: Grey on AV Mode?) Alien Watch Meh Bag A tablet/HDTV Receiver
That tablet is really cool, and worked great. Until I went to charge it. The USB is broken off inside. I am on phone now with RCA to see if they will repair. It was factory new, still had cling film on it and was neatly packed, so I will see. They say they want the original receipt, so wonder what they will make of my Fukobukuro receipt! Can't hurt to see.
broken/defective blu-ray player. The remote is kinda cruddy and gross, idk why.
One of those grill things.
I don't really need a blu-ray player. I'll probably just take it to bits. But all in all it wasn't awful. No scary demon old lady voodoo doll or whatever that thing was.
My fuko is waiting for me when I get home from work, but I really hope there is a beer baseball cap in it. My boyfriend has a Miller one and I love it! But like with a bag of crap I am not holding my breath for anything.
Mine arrived today! -1TB DVR/DVD player "defective" that I'll take apart and if I can't fix it at least a free 1TB HD -Android Tablet (that someone smoked a whole carton of cigarettes into) -Adventure Time Neck Pillow -Pokemon wall graphix -Meh bag
-meh. bag -Desk fan with dented grill. Blows -Hondo glasses and coasters. One glass arrived completely shattered, the e-shopper in me wants to complain to someone, but being a fukobukuro I'm unsure if it was on purpose... -Resident evil wall decals -Old, broken typewriter that weighs a ton. -34 bags of air, not in pictures.
Arrived home from work to find my unluckily box sitting apropriately enough on its side on my porch. Popped it open as soon I could and found the following contents.
-meh bag (not pictured) -bags of irk breath -Finn the Human Boy backpack -creepy/cool camera watch -polk headphones (that seem to be a repacked return) -flash cards from an unfortunately named company (I'm curious about the meeting where they saw no problem with the name "flashkids" )
WOO HOO! Darth Maul mask Miller Lite hat that will be perfect for Indy 500 weekend Burger maker (WTF?) Bag Blu-ray player, supposedly defective. I plugged it in and the menu comes up. It plays a music CD. Don't have any blu-rays handy to test it out though.
I am happy with mine. I got the shower curtain, Air Cleaner, a "broken" Magnavox cd player, says it skips around, played a disk could not get to repeat defect. bag.
D'aww. I didn't manage to pick through pictures of bodies of water and street signs fast enough to snag one. (So, like a normal person I lost my shit in the forums - just kidding! I lamented my loss and enjoyed the fun with all who did get one.) Anyway... the super awesome staffers at meh took pity on me and sent me one anyway! (Are you jealous? You should be jealous.)
First thing in the box:
(You guys made my whole day!)
The haul:
(plus a ton of Texas air)
The creepiest fucking clown lamp. I really think he's trying to shoot himself in the head with his umbrella. Where the hell did you get this thing? The Amityville Clown Car?
Since someone will harass me, here's @PuppyCat tax:
Good mine today. Much bigger than the 17x17 it was supposed to be. The haul: Futurama trash can. (Awesome!!) Bēm Bluetooth Alarm clock (has postit note that says DOA, but seems to work great! Meh bag Some weird ass mineral water system. No idea what I would do with it, but I search around and they retail for alot! Might try my luck on eBay, but I have no idea if it is all here. And last but certainly not least... A Cinderella LCD watch with stones on case!!!!!!
Meh Bag Kevin Dundon Burger Press Aliens LCD wrist watch Special K measuring cup Sanyo Blu-Ray player
The Meh bag was Meh, the burger press was NIB and looks like a gimmicky keeper, the Aliens wrist watch has dollar store written all over it, the measuring cup seems cool (for some reason that I don't understand) And the Blu-Ray player is actually fully functional. Tried a Blu-Ray, a DVD, and a CD and everything worked great. Now to go to the basement with the 2 other Blu-Ray players I have gotten from Fuku's.
MAYBE THE GREATEST FUKO/FUKU OF ALL TIME, and everything works cat not included New touchscreen computer, bluray player, and some clearly fancy watches
I got: Kevin Dundon Burger Machine Fuku Bag Adventure time neck pillow Toy Shaving kit "Defective" Wifi Bluray player - I didn't have a bluray player before this and it seems to play DVDs fine (sticker says defective CD tray) so it's pretty great. Thanks Meh!
Sorry, no pic. Co-workers walked off with everything before I remembered to snap one.
Got: Fuko Bag - MINE! Kevin Dundon Burger Machine - went to someone who would use it. (I don't like hamburgers) Star Wars Ruler - went to Star Wars fanatic co-worker Nick Zone lunch box - went to co-worker named "Nick" Stem Izon wi-fi Video Monitor (yes, probably the one for sale today) with a note indicating it was defective - went to tinkerer co-worker. All the co-workers had fun with the defective note - sticking it on one another secretly. We all had a great laugh. Thanks Meh!
Got mine today; two days earlier than initially expected.
Fedex said it was 23 lbs and 17x17x17. It was actually two boxes put together.
Hmm. Is there something under that fuko bag?
My mistake. Just regular stuff.
Fuko bag Heavy duty black pants (remind me of paintball or moto-x pants) Fleece blanket Camo backpack Mario wall graphix True Blood bar sign/mirror 808 Duo wired/wireless headphones.
As a recipient of both the April Fools Fukobukuro AND Woot Bag of Crap, I decided to offer a little side-by-side comparison of how both offerings performed. First, photos of the hauls:
MEH:
WOOT:
Now, let's decide a winner.
Category: The Bag
Winner: Meh. Hands down. Moving on.
Category: "Maybe I Can Sell in on eBay?"
Meh: Able Planet Clearvoice stereo headphone in a busted box Woot: iChair iPad case (first gen) & Philips Actionfit arm band (size L/XL)
Winner: Meh, by a hair. Just because there's always a market for headphones. But old Apple accessories? Ehh...
Category: Potential Kitschy Gift for a Friend
Meh: Elvis tin serving tray Woot: Screaming Monkey (Bandoleer of Carrots cape) and Star Wars Tie Fighter toy
Winner: Woot. Always side with the Screaming Monkey.
Category: Perfect Accessory for a Desperate Housewife
Meh: Wine Glass that reads, "I'm Leaving His Ass!" Woot: Home Organization & Storage book
Winner: Meh for not being boring.
Category: "WTF am I Supposed to Do with THIS Shit?"
Meh: Old Wollensak cassette player from some high school audio program in the 1970's (and weighs at least 15 pounds) Wood: One snow glove and a transforming reading light
Winner: Meh all the way. I mean seriously, WTF am I going to do with that? My wife is going to be so pissed off at me!
So, after five rounds, Meh comes out on top with a score of 4-1. Thanks for playing, everybody!
@denton I also got a BOC and the Fuko. Have to say that this time, other than the Fuko bag, Woot wins (and that is surprising). I was wondering if maybe Meh was switching to all fukos instead of fukus by outsourcing them to Amawoot.
4.1 lbs 1 x fuko bag 1 x cereal measuring cup 1 x usb hub man 1 x jlab pro-7 android tablet 1 x rca android table (with built-in TV tuner)
Both tablets charge and turn on. They don't really look like returns as the power cables don't look disturbed. I did, however, have to do do a factory reset on both because they were past the "welcome" setup process. One of them had a couple fingerprints on the screen...maybe used for product photos? Would explain why they were both past the welcome screens so they could get a good screen photo. Don't know... I'm pleased they work even though they're a bit old.
Dennis Miller doll with clear disclaimer "of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong"... or you might just be scared Dennis.
meh fukobukuro black bag
and last but not least.... a golden boot award plaque?
I can't find the name in the list of official golden boot awards... and I can't find the name in imdb... and it doesn't look like the actual golden boot award trophies... so it could be a lost forgotten western actor... or someone could have made it for a friend... it is literally a boot painted gold. Anyone have any info?
@thismyusername There is also a golden boot award given by the International Association of Gay Square Dancing Clubs. So says the Internet, and I could not make that stuff up. I did not see anyone on the list named Tex.
Ok I found the unlucky part... the KRUPS coffee maker has some physical damage, some broken plastic... so I filled it up to see if it leaks and it doesn't... so only a cosmetic crack.
A rather cra... er... (sorry!) meh photo of my fuko:
Hamburger Maker (new in sealed box) Cheap crap Sanyo Blu-Ray player (marked defective, but in a "sealed by repair company" box, so maybe a return that got sent out for repair? I should test it, but more likely will forget I have it and eventually give it away) Transformers ("Robots In Disguise!") laptop skins/stickers (gave to guy who works for me that has 30 or 40 transformers and the like in his office... he said, "Hmmm... Now I'll have to buy a laptop.") Nickelodeon collapsible padded/insulated lunch box (if it were ONLY SpongeBob, would go to daughter unit 2 but it has other characters on it as well, so she may not want it) MEH bag!!!
The only thing interesting about mine is that there's a label on the box that reads Meh Fukubukuro. Does that mean that my Fukobukuro is yet to come and this one was just something extra? I suppose we'll see.
The only thing interesting about mine is that there's a label on the box that reads Meh Fukubukuro. Does that mean that my Fukobukuro is yet to come and this one was just something extra? I suppose we'll see..
Got my Fuko today. Not sure about the weight, but the carton was definitely bigger than 11x11x11. However, the top was slightly open and an edge bent back, so I don't know if anything was removed before I got home. Perhaps the Roomba I've been longing for?
• Fuko bag • Outback 15th Anniversary Wacky Wobbler (1988-2003) • Aprons & Attitude "I'm Leaving His Ass" wine glass • New Infinity Key Combo 8" Micro USB Case & Keyboard for 8" Tablet (now I need a tablet) • Mohu Channels Personal TV Guide. Note clearly says "Remorse May Not Work", but the box doesn't seem to have any remorse. I don't have a TV, so perhaps I have some remorse. • Boatload of Texas Air packets
Thanks Meh! I am sure I would have enjoyed the Roomba. Maybe next time. Or how about a TV or Tablet to go along with this stuff?
saved my sanity as I was about to run into the local hobby shop waving the helicopter and a hundred dollar bill in the air and shouting "GIVE ME A CONTROLLER!"
My 14 pound fuko arrived today, and turned out to be bigger than FedEx thought at 24x24x12.
Box included...
Adventure Time neck pillow
DVD player/VCR that I think my father-in-law has been wanting
Giant creepy clown Pez dispenser bank, because really, who doesn't love things with creepy clowns on them?
Fuko bag
And the pièce de résistance! A mother fukoing cuckoo clock!! It seems to be in fair shape and has a nice headpiece too. Once I give it some tlc and find a home for it, I'll try to share a video of it.
@zachdecker I own that cuckoo clock! We got it from a friend stationed in Germany in 1986. At the time he said he paid only $12. It's been hanging on our wall, interrupting whatever we're doing, every half hour, since then. If yours doesn't work it's worth the money to get it going. These things go up in value every year.
1 black Fuko bag 1 dolphin printed shower curtain 1 Star Wars BB-8 RC robot 1 Indianapolis Colts football helmet ceramic crock and ladle set 1 wrought iron umbrella stand base
And
A leather saddlebag with two smaller leather purses inside, all inside a drawstring bag
RCA 7" tablet/"hi def tv viewer" - looked promising till I noticed the broken A/C adapter port. Unfixable without tools and time (or cash), so into the alley it goes. I did salvage the universal A/C adapter and 16 GB micro SD card that it shipped with. I wonder what's on that SD card...hmmm...?
DVD/VCR player (labeled "defective - unable to record"). Sorry, no use for broken 90's tech here....into the alley.
large Mario Baseball wall decal - truly bizarre. Pic available on request.
Hideous green spongy neck pillow. "Adventure Tales" or something on it. Smelly/discolored/possibly used? ==> alley.
Fuko bag
I love Meh and I'm happy to part with $10, given all the genuine entertainment I've enjoyed over the years (even going back to Woot times). So, shitty bag, but I still consider it a win. And Meh wins, of course. And someone with a pickup truck will drive by before morning and all that crap will find a loving home. A 3-way win. Can't argue with that!
My first Fuko! Okay, as of April 1, I have finally netted a full set of 1 Fuko, 1 Fuku, and 1 BoC. That first Fuku wasn't much to talk about, so let's first examine my first BoC (also from April 1. Seriously. 10 years and finally my first one? Eh, meh...)
Anything of value? Nah, except perhaps for the USB cords. I don't need the chargers and they're too underpowered anyways. Anything interesting? Nada
Okay, time for Meh to shine! Come on, big money! Big money!
(1) Black bag of empty (1) Collector's Barbie purse of excessive packaging (1) VCR-DVD recorder of returned brokenness (2) Slightly dented Bubba mugs of less than half full (1) Adventure Time neck pillow (not shown)
Thank you Meh. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! Okay, so this was not as great as some other loads on here, but I'm okay with that because it is soooo much better than my BoC in both value and entertainment! So much for being a worthless Fuko, eh?
@placeholder I'm not sure if I'll ever test the VCD-DVD Player/Recorder. I might just leave it in a state of quasi-brokenness. That said, the previous owner night have been having trouble with the remote....
I'm a bit speechless. My first Meh bag of any kind ever. Yes, the turtle may have been slow, but he definitely won the race. Every single item, including the box, has already been claimed by young adults in the household.
Box early +1 to Woot Box open and possibly missing contents -1 Woot Box sealed and properly packed +1 Meh Box arrived later - AT LEAST IT WAS SEALED AND ALL IN ONE PIECE! +0 Meh
Box - net +1 to Meh
Tiny pencil pouch of recycled plastic fabric AND no ? bag vs. large Fukoburu bag of recycled plastic fabric.
Bag - net +1 to Meh.
cheap dollar store kids snack/lunch set vs. Nickelodeon lunch bag with all the Nick characters, exactly what my daughter had been begging for since before Christmas.
Lunch containers - net +1 to Meh.
Screaming Monkey vs. "screaming" daughter who had been begging for a boombox and now has one that works well, despite the open box item with a tag that says it doesn't.
Free screams - net +1 to Meh
Smelly, cheap nail polish vs. smelly cheap shower curtain No bags of aire libre de Tejas vs. a lot of bags of it.
Cheap bonus items - even steven
empty box vs. Kalorik FT 26175 Professional Style Triple Basket Deep Fryer with Digital Control, 4 L, Stainless Steel ($80 on Amazon) Delighted sons on the autism spectrum who LOVE french fries and all things carbolicious - priceless
I was greeted to a large 39X9X28 box on my front porch today. Immediately got excited because it looked like it was the right size for a TV. Hastily drag it inside to find a shit ton of Irk breath bags - but no TV...
But I think I got the fish that @zelucifer and @funkboy3 caught with their sweet rusty tackle boxes. Either that or meh got it all from the same garage sale-or trash pile.
This bad boy is 40 inches long! I have no clue what kind of fish, but am quite sure I've seen it on an episode of "Monster Fish." If you look closely, the original owner "repaired" the broken fins with corrugated cardboard. Painstakingly painting them and gluing the redneck replacements.
The rest of the haul includes: 104X88 all polyester comforter Resident Evil wall decals Silly Surfer model kit - "Crusty Crustacean Included!" Rival food sealer - surprisingly similar to the one I got in the last Fuku... Black Fuku/o bag to join my pink one.
Great stuff. Thanks meh! Unfortunately my 9y/o wants to hang the fish in his room. Not gonna happen meh, good try. Maybe we'll give it a proper viking funeral, I bet that plastic will burn good.
I thought I would be able to bring this thread back down from all these great Fukos but doesn't look like that's going to happen because I'm pretty happy with mine.
Box size: 35x16x13 Weight: didn't check (though I did get a scale) - Lots of freshly sealed air and bubble wrap - 1 walking cane - 1 Cozy blanket - 1 Obi Wan kids costume - 1 Keychain breathalyzer - 1 Escali bathroom scale - 1 black unlucky meh bag - 1 mannequin torso/head
The obligatory Fuko bag. Blockbuster VHS head cleaner tape. A piece of history? Resident Evil wall graffix Umbrella with missing latch so it won't close all the way. Nerf Rampage gun missing any ammo. Mute Dennis Miller doll. Nile board game missing 1 tile. Some weird spring loaded piece with the gold color top, not sure what it is but the wood "handle" is split. Plenty of bags of air.
My Weirdest Fuku/Fuko... Way bigger box than fedex reported [img][/img]
Air plus some bubble wrap Monkey Bag - Cool Blue Stuffed Monkey - Nice Fuku Bag - Cool Talking Dennis Miller - Odd/Interesting Old Used 'I presume' sleeping bag - Kind of a nice one, I thought. Unfortunately don't see us using it for fear of it having sweaty flunky body molecules in it or even having been used to hold a corpse or something. Ebola was mentioned also. Lastly, the craziest thing I have ever seen. Family wants it destroyed. - A Creepy Ass giant, obviously possessed by demons, bust of Fu Mehnchu. That's what I call him. and also a few pieces of Fu Mehnchu's hat that broke off [img][/img]
@ugadogch@hollboll@galmaegi Just wanted to thank you guys so much! I really loved the 'behind the scenes' glimpse that I got of 'finding' Fu Mehnchu. So Cool. I can't find your post here in the forum so I think maybe you had to delete it or something. Thanks Again!
Similar stuff to others, so no pic. Very nice, though, thanks Meh! The haul;
12x bags of Texas Air 1x Black Fuko Bag 1x USB Hubman 1x Alien Queen Watch (Creepy!) 1x Kevin Dundon Burger Grill 1x Sanyo Blu-Ray Player. 'Defective' tag said it does not play disc all the way through, but I just tried it and it played 'Hugo' all the way with no issues at all. Probably had a dirty disc!
There's a distinct possibility we'll see one or more of these items re-appear in the Exchange thread soon. Sorry in advance to the poor sucker I draw. =)
Burger Iron
Mehta M1 in gawdy gold, black leather band (clearly opened/used -- nice if it works, but I already have a stainless with poor app support).
Got my Fuko finally. There are some strange things in here. The combined retail value of all these things is much higher than I would ever pay for them, so on paper $5 seems like a deal. But now I just have to figure out what the heck to do with it all… what to do… 1 x Fuko bag (new) 1 x Wonder Pets Turtle Tuck Costume (new) 1 x Quadtec Digital Watch case, band hardware and two spare bands, but missing the watch (returned) 1 x Predator Cookie Jar (new) 1 x Memorex FlexBeats Bluetooth Boombox, (new with slightly damaged box) 1 x 1970’s Parker Brothers Board Game - HEY PA! THERE’S A GOAT ON THE ROOF (Seems to have all the pieces but box appears to have been stored in a barn for 40 years)
The first step I will take to putting this stuff to good use is to offer up this goat game. You all seem to like goats quite a bit, does anyone want a totally authentic Fukobukuro goat prize? Are you willing to trade a fuko item you don’t really need? Let me know!
Hi, I'm Jane and I got a fuko this round. Here's a quick pic.
1 - Bulldog mug. Kind of cute...ish. Kind of also terrifying. 1 - Broken Fire Dept knife. Would be worth it if it weren't broken. Immediately threw it away. 1 - Set of hamburger salt and pepper shakers. Actually good quality. Might re-gift to a collector. 1 - G-Technology G-Drive 4TB (plus all of its tentacles) I will explain more below. 1 - Meh shopping bag. It's actually a great size. Perfect for taking to Albertsons or Kroger and filling with bananas.
All in all, not the worst I've gotten. Not a lot of items but the G-Drive is horrendously expensive, if it was in working condition.
Plugging it in now. It's a little squeaky but it works on my Mac. Not my PC.
Hm...looks like it's filled with stock photos.
Oh wait. No. It's got 2.25 TB worth of stuff in here.
There are a LOT of personal pictures on this thing. Track meets, Christmas card family pics, and, to answer your question....Yep. There is pr0n on this.
Many, many naked lady bits are being strewn about my Mac screen. Goody. Um, thanks Meh.
Also, a good amount of personal information, which obviously I will be deleting. It might have been a good idea to check for that kind of stuff before accidentally dropping a backup drive filled with addresses, receipts and tax form info on it into my Fuko.... But I'm a kind person so it will be removed as soon as I see any more.
Hey @janetv, we sincerely apologize for sending you that. It was a failure on our end to not ensure that it was wiped prior to letting it go out. Consider this a lesson learned on our end. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we greatly appreciate the manner in which you have handled this.
@MEHcus Sooo the label on one of my items includes the address of the person who mailed it too you... Should it be broken, can I be a ass and ship it back to that person? Or would you prefer me to dispose of it properly...
Got mine yesterday. I think I may have won the Fuko lottery!
Box was 24x24x12 and weighed 32.5 lbs!
Contents:
10x Bags of sweet Texas air 1x Spiderman watch 1x NOAA walkie-talkies 1x Meh bag 1x Adventure Time neck pillow 1x Swann 4-channel HD DVR Security system!
Haven't tried out the security system yet, but assuming it works, that is awesome. It's listed on Amazon for $1,460.55! eBay and a few other sites have it around $750-$900. But, still, holy crap. Thanks Meh!!
The only surprise for mine is that the mailman actually pulled all the way up my driveway to deliver the package. I don't think I've ever seen him do that before.
If you're bored with the Fuko pictures, maybe you'll get excited about watching mine being delivered:
Wasn't that fun? Yeah, you're all a bunch of freaks. Okay, okay, here's what I got:
Fuko Bag
Alien Watch
Fancy Corkscrew
Coors Light Baseball Cap
Funai DVD Recorder/VCR - Marked as DEFECTIVE but seems to work perfectly fine.
@Cloudscout Where do you live that people drive the speed limit down your street? Mine has dips built into the road to slow people down, but it doesn't work. I do get enjoyment watching car parts fly off when their undercarriage hits the road :)
@looseneck I'm about 2 miles west of Minneapolis. We do get the occasional speeder but the local police are merciless when patrolling our street so people learn quickly.
1 Funai Blu-Ray/DVD player (havent tested yet) 1 Hamilton Beach flexbrew coffee maker (used) 1 Disney Frozen wrist watch 1 Shaving set 1 Meh bag
The coffee maker still had a K-cup loaded and is missing some parts. The carafe side seems to work ok but the K-cup side seems to have issues, I'll have to pull everything apart and see if I can make it whole again!
@Coogles You're treading on dangerous ground. That's Cinderella. Slaps would be minor compared to the withering scorn of a 5-year-old given this when she was hoping for a real Frozen watch.
the mailman left a "Sorry we missed you" even though there were 6 cars where in the driveway and we were home all day. I called yesterday and asked why it wasn't delivered and today I called again today and they said it's not there.. .... now according to the tracking they are shipping it back???
@dashcloud Thanks, just did. The guy at the post office said sorry many many times and its all their fault and why. But after the first few words a tunnel vision of sadness and anger muffled my senses and he just sounded like an adult from peanuts. It's on it's way back to HQ and there's nothing anyone can do.
-Hamburger Maker... Why are there so many of these?
-Cobra Charger Dohickie. Included power adapter appears to be a broken chinease knockoff. Currently testing with one of my power adapters to charge it. If it works I say this bag was a win. If not I am going to mail it back to the person who mailed it to meh... Cause fuck the system.
-Nick Lunch Bag, Spiderman kids watch, and a meh bag.
@darkzrobe Hey, I got that cobra charger thing busted up and w/o charger in a fuku bag (actually the only time I got something decent other then the bag). Mine was a return also - still with personal and RMA info sent to Meh. It's a doorstop. Like I said even busted up and all this is actually the best thing I've ever gotten from a fuku - lol, confirms my suspicions that I get "fuko" bags instead.
@Enigma Ya I am not sure mine is holding much of a charge or if the charger I have is not fully to spec.
I am pretty confident that I could fix it. The battery is a standard type (even if the device says not serviceable) and I found a place with replacement AC Adapters but I really dont want to pay $35+ for something I dont think I need. Also once I do get it working maintaining that battery is going to be a pain.
@darkzrobe i also got the cobra charger, appears intact, but with no ac adapter or anything.
I can say that these are pretty damn handy, I have an old one that was just a jump starter with lighter outlet and ac inverter and I've kept it meaning to replace the battery when it finally failed after a few years. It was useful to be able to bring ac power wherever.
You also shouldn't need the official ac adapter. The only thing that's important is proper voltage, amperage, polarity and tip size. Most ac adapters are Chinese knockoffs anyway.
Maintaining that battery should be nbd as they're ups style batteries, meaning it's ok to keep them on trickle charge pretty much indefinitely.
@djslack I can see the use, if it had its own trickle charge circuit so I could just leave it plugged in I would be happy. As for the AC Adapter ya... they are all over the place. Knockoff that came with it was 15V .3 amps and it made the unit just say it was fully charged. Manual calls for 13.5 Volts at .3 amps. I have it hooked up to a 12Volt 1 amp one... Not sure if it is going to work but it looked like it got a little charge.
@djslack Tried to open it up and it was being evil and the plastic was breaking from the rough shipping. It has gone in the trash. Maybe the burger maker will be fun...
@Cerridwyn Hah! A cardboard cat house in this house would be chewed to bits by my cat that confettis cardboard. That cat bites a piece and spits it out, rinse and repeat. : )
@Cerridwyn yup here too. Right now they are busy slowly destroying a dish pack box. They have managed to make a hole in the side that has expanded from coach roach size to small dog size. Then the duct tape I was using to hold the top shut so they could sit on that has repeatedly been bit through, resulting in the cats repeatedly falling through the top when they leap onto it. The only pain of this entertainment is picking up a zillion finger nail sized pieces of cardboard off the floor since my vacuum cleaner tends to choke on them.
I tried checking twice, and I couldn't find the post I made yesterday. I wanted to see if I promised I'd open my package tonight--If I didn't promise, I'm opening it tomorrow. It's almost midnight tonight and that's a bit late. So, I'm going to open it tomorrow. I'm SUPER-EXCited about it! But with yesterdays post not taking, I wonder if I've been red-flagged and permanently banned. . Reason: Enthusiasm and idiocy! That first post went on and on and on, and I snuck on the day after, and when I saw that posts were hidden I thought "Wew! That saves me the trouble of tracking it down and deleting it!" But then I did see people commented on it, because I was getting emails on it, so I decided to lay low. So, I did try! Here's yesterdays post,(I saved it--you know, Illuminatti and all), I do hope I'm not banned for being a nut-job. I'm excited! I wanna say more, but shhhh, "...........Hi everyone! I'll pretend you don't know me, since you probably don't. I got a Fukobukuro 2 that was delivered a few days ago, and I wrote about it, but let's try to forget all about that! I've been super-busy, and haven't opened mine yet. I suppose it's strange not opening it yet, but I got one or two really good reasons!--I'm not being a jerk. I am not! I just wanted to let a few people know I hadn't run away in embarassment. I did think about emailing every single member of Meh and apologizing-but that thought passed!"
And then, to finish it, I put in some emojis'. See it wasn't long at all, and it shows you I can indeed write brief replies! (I may have made a few pages of edits, I'm not entirely sure)
................o.k. so I'm posting a pic or two tomorrow. And even if it's all half-eaten pork rind bags, I'm gonna be pretty dog-gone excited! And hopefully, I haven't been banned from all future forms of fukoooo's.
No, I found that one quite easily. But thanks anyway for the link. I never get tired of reading fine literature. The post I meant was yesterdays' post, which did not show up for me. If it showed up for you, then you ,indeed, lead a charmed life!
I received my fuko yesterday! 17 lbs 22x15x15 box -Pokemon Wall Decal -Indianapolis Colts Jar with a football ladle (Anybody a fun of the colts?) -60 cap guns(Can't tell if they are actually worth anything, found a few links online ranging from $4-20 a piece.) -808 Wireless headphones [img][/img] [img][/img]
@runninredman so yea, it looks like you inherited a cap gun collection. I hope you realize this means you need to tag @capguncowboy who may really desire these, based on his chosen form of self expression...
@capguncowboy Email me at capgunmeh@1usemail.com The email will expire in about 1 hour, once you email me I will send you an email from my actual account
In what was the most amusing thing this week, The disc was inside the DVD player. (No VHS tape, sadly.) I half-expected this when I opened it, but it was still funny as fuck to open the DVD tray and see a DVD there. For anyone else who received a DVD player of any sort, I recommend looking to see if you got a bonus... I think I'll rename the burger maker the "Dundun-Mifflin" in honor.
O.K. this isn't easy! Maybe one of these will come out linked the right way. I've been resizing them and all that and I'm right with you. Looks like it's two objects. Now a million pieces of gold, just two ieces of gold!
ok. I'm not going to be a jerk, I did enough of that before. The end is coming soon. I remember like my last birthday party. Well, it was me and my mom. And one gift, so I sort of took my time with that one too. No more though. Let's get this over with.
yeah! a dennis miller talking doll! very unlucky! I saw him doing standup he did his latest album, exactly, work for word. Then he left. I was going to open it, and do a vocaroo of it for you all, but Don't want to wear out that welco...o, wait! I already did wear that out! but wait, let's go on to the next thing, as I'm wetting myself. Oh yeah! this is really bad !pu
My Grandmother loves this guy! So, I'm going to go visit her, and bury it right where she's at.
let's see. Oh! I am so excited! This is taking a long time! not that I'm complaining. Nice! Nice! Nice! I bought some of these, but gave them to someone in California, so I never got to see the box or anything! yeah! I always wondered how cool these were! And they Are. Cool!
Where did I leave off at? ok, this is like the last big thing I think. And it's the best of the lot! I love it. really. love . it. really! http://imgur.com/h0yQYwP It's perfect and I love love love it! http://imgur.com/93XkbHA And something to keep it all safe and warm and cozy! Yeah! I couldn't be happier. And i kept everything short, so people wouldn't be throwing knives at me! Oh, I could have typed a mile more. I'm really, still, I'm reeling! I hope everyone has a fantastic night, and I'm off to play with stuff! I hate to say goodbye, but cheers!
@jkump150 You can buy an 8mm cartoon (Woody Woodpecker, etc.) and an empty take up reel on eBay for ~$10 US incl. shipping, maybe less - or just keep a sharp eye out at garage / estate sales and you might get lucky. The projector, in mint condition for that model incarnation (I'm assuming it is NOT a K100G from the images) is worth about $30-40 US.
If you do test it / use it, DO NOT use the "still" feature if it there on that Keystone model (switch position straight up IIRC on a Keystone), you'll burn a hole in your film - and it never holds focus when used for still anyway, so it is pretty useless that way.
24x24x12 box, about 60% filled with encapsulated Irk farts. 1 Fuko bag 1 adventure time neck pillow 1 Alien queen wristwatch 1 Memorex small CD player/boombox with a loose piece of solder rattling around inside (return label complained about the rattle; fixed that and the unit works fine) 1 Sherwood DS10 docking station for IPod (30 pin varieties). Not sure if its firewire or USB pin charging type since its sealed and we're leaving it that way.
We're keeping the bag, the rest is going to charity. I still have a working Panasonic boombox that sounds much better than the Memorex.
I'm thinking someone went shopping in the dumpsters behind GoodWill or Teen Challenge or some other thrift store donation location judging by the stuff posted so far. Love it! Here's my Fuko contents: The Fuko Bag A 46 year-old Mattel toy called "Super Eyes" in it's original box. Very cool!
An Ed Hardy light box. Finally something that works! 7" RCA HDTV and Android tablet. This thing has an extendable antenna. Broke. More later.
I've been lucky enough to get a couple Fukus now and this is by far the most random one. 1 wine glass that has a 50s housewife and the quote 'Leave his ass!' 1 Sonicare Toothbrush with a large 'Defective' sticker 1 Special K measuring cup 1 Fuku bag and the weirdest... 1 WiFi egg holder that will call you and tell you when your eggs are bad or you run low on eggs.
Sorry I'm late getting this posted, but I've been slammed lately. Received my Fuko Friday, and was pleased to find a fairly normal assortment:
1) Mighty Charger for recharging all types of batteries including regular alkaline (this scares me and went direct to the Goodwill pile) 2) Dolphin and fish shower curtain (not bad if you are into that sort of thing: Goodwill pile) 3) Undamaged ceramic Eco Travel Mug (nice but small: emergency gift box) 4) Mohu Channels with 10% off code for needed antenna (no one in our family watches TV, but if this works and can pick up OTA stations, it could go to daughter who resorts to foreign IP address to watch Olympics...any reviews or insights are welcome) 5) Lovingly bubble-wrapped ancient flip-number clock-radio (despite ominous loose piece rattling inside, it seems to have better sound and ability to pull in stations than our last clock-radio; husband may keep for use in garage) 6) Iconic Fukobukuro shopping bag
What I love about this Fuko is how much variety there was among everyone's boxes. I usually get my box late, and when I read the thread I see multiples of everything I got. Rather than be redundant, I usually end up skulking back into the shadows instead of posting.
Star Wars Prince Xizor 10" Vinyl Dolls. Who? Had to look him up, but appears to be a character from a Star Wars Multimedia Project titled "Shadows of the Empire" released in 1996. Yup, 20-year-old Chinese-made vinyl dolls. For those of you who don't do math, that is 576 dolls. They emit quite the stench from the spare room where they are currently stacked. (Haven't found any partial cases yet, so can't accuse @Nexar of breaking up the set.)
At least the supply is smaller now. Was able to give 3 cases to the semi-truck driver, who was quite bemused about having to deliver a pallet of unknown content to our home in the mountains. (He couldn't make it up to our house and had to drop the pallet in our neighbor's driveway for us to break down and ferry home.) Another case went to work with our daughter in hopes someone there would recognize the character or at least be sucked in by the Star Wars connection. Today the first batch of 10 cases went to Goodwill, our plan being to spread them among various charitable thrift store in hopes that none will totally ban us. Talk about flooding the market!
@gio look up when the next star wars convention is going to be in your area and drop them off by the entrance with "free" on them... I'm sure they'd be gone in an instant. Or post to some star wars forum. Somebody would likely pay you for them.
@Kidsandliz If I had time to get rid of them, I think I could figure out a lot of creative methods (dunnage in packages; a line of them on the porch railing of an acquaintance; handed out to trick-or-treaters; etc.). But I need them gone NOW, and the people I've reached out to have all backed away quickly lest they be saddled with my Fuko "treasure." Down to 34 cases now with the blitzing of thrift stores, though I guess we're also getting back the case my daughter took, as her office consensus was "scary."
@KDemo Despite the hassle of quickly ridding myself of a pallet of a has-been Star Wars character, I truly am amused by the whole situation.
First of all, the idea of a semi-truck trying to deliver out here is quite ridiculous. Since it was a local trucking company who knows the area, I would have expected them to mention that earlier than 10 minutes before arrival, when it was too late to divert them to my son's house. Luckily the driver was a good sport!
And, of course, the one time I get the big extra item it would have to be associated with a Fuko, entail mass quantities, and be shortly before I'm entertaining out-of-state company that needs the spare room!
@mrimdman So it seems they are going for about the price of shipping and not much more. If I had more time to get rid of them, I'd love to do that, and then when they ordered one, I'd send them a case. They'd likely be both pleased to get 8 for the price of 1, and perplexed as to how to get rid of the ones they didn't want! (Fuko song: 72 cases of Xizor on the wall; 72 cases of Xizor; take one down, pass it along; 71 cases of Xizor on the wall....)
@gio The Mohu Channels is pretty cool. Hook up to an antenna for OTA programming, wifi to get the channel guide, surf Web on the qwerty remote, and get apps. Add a thumbdrive to pause and rewind ota tv. Mine unfortunately would hang if left in sleep mode for a couple days, so it had to come off the main tv as it frustrated my fiancee to have to fiddle with it once a week to watch live tv. It's now relegated to my tv which i never watch. But I thought it was neat and has a good interface.
@djslack Thanks for the feedback! Are you using a generic OTA antenna or one of the ones that Mohu sells? My son suspects we can use what we have available. My daughter's house came with a big antenna on the roof if we can find where the connection is located, but at the very least we'd like to test with old rabbit ears to make sure that the unit actually works before we invest more money.
@gio Mine is a generic antenna I was already using. Its a flat panel hdtv antenna of the cheapest sort - a plastic panel maybe 5"x8" that is supposed to hang on the wall. The only real requirement is that the antenna connects to that cable coax connector; I bet rabbit ears would work fine and the roof antenna would be stellar.
meh, please tell us how much you actually paid for the 72 cases of Prince Xizor! I'm guessing it was less than the cost of shipping them to the poor, unsuspecting Fukobukuro winner!
@KDemo Not anymore. Recently moved and I should really drop the "y", but meh, been using this username for about 20 years. That's actually the inside of my local coffee haus / craft brew pub.
Got home from vacation today to find my Fuko: 1 Budweiser trucker hat 1 Defective DVR (tag says it deletes last chapter of last recording) 1 Barbie purse thing 1 Acer Chromebook 15 1 Meh bag
Also waiting for me: 3 other boxes of meh crap that I had ordered.
Hey guys. Totally forgot to post mine, and it's the best mystery box i've gotten. I got a children's Star Wars costume, an ET phone home talking book, a dented contigo mug, a meh bag, and a Pioneer receiver! As far as I can tell the receiver is in working order (no defective tag), but I still need to test it out. Thank meh!
Well it finally arrived! Totally not worth the USPS frustrations or the wait! The worthless Channels devices. Four triple AAA's! (All dead...) a slightly better keyboard than the water proof one I got a month ago on meh. 99cent shave kit Transformers laptop topper rule with shape stencils Fukobukuro bag!
Are we skipping over the shipping thread?
@Ignorant That would be refreshing.
5 nancy kerrigan trading cards
1 bacon coffee mug
1 alligator toy
1 origami frog with hand drawn face and tattoo
1 half eaten bag of pork rinds
1 2012 avengers acura replica
not pictured:
1 black meh fanny pack (because i didn't get a fuko and i'm just making all this shit up suckas)
@carl669 And not a single "fuck" in the entire description? What a fucking shame.
@studerc but there was a "shit". i'm branching out.
@carl669 I read that coffee mug three times...each time I read it as "Life, Puberty and the pursuit of Bacon" before I finally saw it correctly.
@lumpthar i see an ad slogan here.
"Life, Puberty, Bacon coffee mug. Now with extra hair!"
@carl669 You got your's already? I'm not looking because I don't even have a tracking number yet.
Also, Hollboll sent me an email asking for a phone number. I am scared and excited!
@looseneck he had his even before they went on sale.
@looseneck you should read the last line of text in my post.
oh...and congrats (maybe) on getting whatever it is that @hollboll needed your number for.
@carl669 So you are bored with nothing to do in the middle of the day and played belated April Fool's.
It worked!
I've seen the extras others have received and I can't wait to see what shows up :) My first fuko/fuku and I feel privileged to be singled out.
@carl669 as our famous friend says...
@carl669 Brilliant!
@lumpthar me too
@carl669 Ha, you got me. I thought it was real until the last sentence. Good one.
@carl669 Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarl
@lichme Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiich
@carl669 Nancy Kerrigan cards! Awww.
@sligett i think i actually got those a few years ago in a bag of crap. i didn't know what to do with them, so i put them up outside my cube at work. new people would ask, "are you a really big nancy kerrigan fan?" and i would just say, "no. she's my cousin."
@looseneck aw crap, i bet they accidentally shipped you my pony!
How do y'all get yours so fast. I haven't even gotten a tracking number.
@DrunkCat
@Ignorant: Too logical.
@DrunkCat: Time machine.
@Ignorant I was really looking forward to the origami frog with hand drawn face and tattoo. :(
@DrunkCat you could always make your own.
http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-frog.html
@carl669 Since we're being smart-asses I'll take this opportunity to show off
@DrunkCat see? now why would you want some janky-ass frog when you've clearly got better skills? i think maybe you should bombard Meh HQ with origami figures galore!
@DrunkCat Because they lie like rugs, or dogs, or through their teeth, or politicians. The truth is not to be found here...
@Kidsandliz please tell me it was the Little Caesar's commercial from the 80's!
@carl669 yes
@carl669 @carl669 yes that is the commercial. LOL
@Kidsandliz I HAVE A BROTHER?!!!
@wickhameh Yes I believe 5 or so of them... if I recall correctly...
I hope they ship these suckers soon!
@phonorad just for that, yours ships extra slow. ;)
@hollboll Oh man @hollboll that was the best burn! You are seriously like one of the greatest people ever. Your wit and humor are seriously top notch. I love you. Also, this has nothing at all to do with getting my fuku shipped. Just sayin :)
@Bingo Suck up.
@hollboll Sorry, I just got caught up in the anticipation and excitement! Looks like I am indeed at the bottom of the list, as tracking shows no movement for either tracking number as yet! I will continue to wait patiently, though :)......F5....F5.....F5...
@lisaviolet Me? Oh heck no. Not ever. No no no. Not at all. Heavens to Betsy no!
@Bingo
@phonorad i think the natural conclusion to the april's fools joke, is THERE WILL BE NO SHIPMENTS, just double shipping notices, worth two.fiddy each and when 'the pouters' see this they will all renew their VMP status since the joke really was on the 'winners'
@DMlivezey
You all have to pay for shipping.... Of an empty box....
I'm Still showing 2 shipments... Really curious what it could be.
Mine (second tracking number at least) has started to move. Expected April 15th. I am excited and terrified.
@awk Same here, also for 4/15. My theory, which I posted on the main thread, is that they're sending us a box of tissues to everyone in advance of the actual Fuko.
@ciabelle If that's true, I hope they spoil us with unused tissues.
@awk if it is used you'd best hope for face tissues and not toilet tissue left over from the great toilet paper joke sent to meh headquarters...
@awk You're getting refurbished tissue.
Does everyone have shipping info? Mine still shows as "processing"
@webender Aaaannnnd there's a tracking number now. Thanks Meh!
mine still shows processing :(
@Conklaven Got Shipment Notice this morning and it's Already across town. Actually I was just next to it earlier tonight... But of course with Smartpost Scheduled delivery is not till the 13th... 4 days to go 15 miles fun times.
2lb placeholder to arrive next Saturday.
I'm assuming someone accidentally pushed a button twice, hence all the double tracking numbers. I seem to remember it may have happened once before in the past
@spitfire6006006 there is nothing accidental here, it is all planned out years in advance, or at least micro-seconds in advance
Mine left Hutchins, TX, at 7:55 a.m. yesterday. Sucker's already in California.
@ciabelle Troutdale is not a Smartpost hub, that's why.
http://www.fedex.com/us/smart-post/network.html
@narfcake Neither is Kent. (They probably are listing it as Seattle)
@ciabelle Probably. The Los Angeles, CA hub is actually in the City of Commerce/East Los Angeles, not LA proper.
My 2 lb shipment (is this just a placeholder) will arrive by Saturday!...the 16th...FUCK
@tylerlew89 thank you for adding to the fuck count
@carl669 So we just sit here counting fu'(#? Thats &7'(8/* )@?3 as &7'(8/* hell
@imzwho what the fuck is a &7'(8/* )@?3?
@carl669 I have no fucking idea. Can we blame the goat for that?
@narfcake - It's so simple! Like this:
@KDemo The answer is infinite. The goat will chew though the rope for freedom to wander anywhere.
@narfcake - Rules mean nothing to us. We cannot be contained, we go where we choose. We are
@KDemo Zero SqFt. Everything is covered in snow, so there nothing to graze upon.
@ciabelle - We don't let that bother us, anyway.
@KDemo Let it goat.
@KDemo I come up with an area of 2,670.28
Not drawn to scale.
@MrMark Am I oversimplifying it? I just did the area of the circle (2827.43) minus the area of his enclosure (100) for 2727.43 ft of grazing.
@MrMark - Oops, so sorry. Here you go, have at it!
(And I'm amazed that you came up with this)
@MrMark - And this is one person's solution.
@KDemo That seems like a convoluted way to get there. All I took from that is back in 1997 people didn't really know what a gif was suppose to be.
@MrMark - lol. That is, in a roundabout way, where I got the puzzle gif I posted above. I guess math has come a long way since 1997.
All I know is that I want to try the grass on the other side of the fence.
@KDemo
http://shirt.woot.com/offers/our-grass-is-always-greener
@narfcake
@Kidsandliz 15 digits are good enough for NASA, so I would assume fewer than that will suffice for goat math.
@KDemo I wound up with 2660.3 sq ft. Do you have an exact answer?
@bxm83 - I'm just a goat, what do I know? Please figure it out soon, though, I'm hungry!
(I'd settle for a piece of Pi).
@MrMark Close, but you did not take into account the length of the goats neck.
Still processing. I assume that's because it takes a while to get enough bags of Texas air to properly cushion a 2016 Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883. (Hint, hint!)
Still no movement for mine.
I just know I'm going to end up with eight vacuum cleaners and four dozen bluetooth speakers.
@Cloudscout I'd be pretty happy with that. Get all my christmas shopping done early this year.
@Cloudscout remember to share the wealth hint hint or unwealth ...
@AttyVette I posted my full reveal here earlier today. It wasn't bad.
Mine left yesterday, still no update to the placeholder size/weight.
Now in my state, still at 2#s.
Says it will arrive on the 12th, updated to 7.9 pounds.
dammit people! this is the reveal thread. go post your status in the status thread!
@carl669 youtube link given for something that wouldn't actually be on youtube can only mean one thing...
@awk sshhh! why you gotta ruin the surprise?
@carl669 GOD DAMN YOU
@carl669 I was told there would be nachos. Is this not the thread with nachos?
@joelmw the nachos are over here
Is this the actual reveal thread? Because I just got mine:
@lljk Thank you for posting. I am now officially less sad.
@lljk I really want the pouch bag they had last year. Sigh.
@lljk Oh, man. My kid would go positively apeshit for that Mario Super Sluggers decal. Here's to hoping!
@sammydog01 Same. Truly is a fuKObukuro.
@lljk please don't say of course a fukobukuro bag because there are some of us that didn't get one in a previous order.
Aww man, mine doesn't even look likes it's from the Meh warehouse. I think they just hit up a local yard sale:
@DrunkCat That pink hat is awesome
@rhcurry02 It is but my head is too big. I was really hoping for a Roomba but I guess the $45 sombrero will suffice.
@DrunkCat the elvis tray is cool
@DrunkCat - Looks like you got a drunk cat, too. Only the coolest people get a mascot.
@DrunkCat Every single one of these looks like something my girlfriend would already own. (In fact, I know she has the air purifier, because I ordered one for her.)
@stuartpb Well I don't know how to tell you but...
@DrunkCat Wow. A signed Elvis tray!
@medz He signed it last week (cue the conspiracy theorists)
Mine hasn't even shipped yet, is that normal?
@legett11 You're getting the dregs. Probably dregs of all of the coffee the Meh team drinks. Literally.
I hope that you have a garden for all of those used coffee grounds.
@legett11 check the email you have on your meh account, check the spam filter, I hope they are not asking you for a physical address verification... if they are be afraid... very afraid....
@thismyusername @juststephen thanks guys! I checked spam, but I usually get meh emails, so no worries there, and my order still says processing in my account. Luckily for me, I just bought a house so in a couple weeks I'll move in and have a garden for all those coffee dregs I'm getting :)
@legett11 All orders have been shipped, yours should show movement now.
@MEHcus Aw yeah, got the shipping notification from meh at 3:15 this morning :) Unluckier bag, here I come.
22.6 lb on its way... Likely a giant bag of cash.
@clark8am Monopoly money.
@clark8am
ftfy
@thismyusername

@clark8am pics pics pics pics

@clark8am
step 1. take some pics

step 7. (optional) click the "get deletion link" and store it in a notepad file in case you ever need to delete the photo.
step 8. enjoy all the stars.
@thismyusername thanks!
@clark8am nice haul
@clark8am Very nice! I find it very cruel, however, that Meh would send a live Tabby Cat through the mail like that. For shame!
@ghosthunterc Agreed. Much easier to affix postage to a hairless. May I suggest the Bambino.
Mines was delivered today.
2 camera watches.
2 rapid relief gel refills by Homedics
1 grand tour vinyl shower curtain
1 My little pony pop uo song book and
1 black Meh bag.
Definitely unlucky.
@lishatanay.
@lishatanay I dunno, the spy watches sound interesting....
@lisaviolet one was open in the box. I am going to check both of them...just in case.
I can't wait to see what's in my fuko now!
@lishatanay With free shipping from work, have you considered joining @studerc's community crap exchange? Details here: https://meh.com/forum/topics/studerc-single-handedly-takes-on-project-wohler--the-mehrican-exchange-is-back-4-0
@lishatanay Awesome thanks! Plus I can tell my wife I got something from sex toy retailer. She'll love that. Or divorce me.
@lishatanay please join the amehrica exchange a box of random from someone who works atva sex tpy shop xould be very interesting
@ACraigL I don't know how to message you. I can try to get some things out this weekend.
@lishatanay Oh thanks! This might be a dumb way to do it, but I grabbed an address from one of those temporary email services. If you reply to it, I can send you my info.
juhine@leeching.net
Thanks again! I really appreciate it.
I was one of the people who didn't get a captcha, and I have to wonder if Meh punished us for that. Was the effigy made by a meh staffer?
Meh Bag
Hondo Glass & Coasters Set
Selfie Stick aka Cable Take Pole
2nd grade flash cards
water sensor
and this:
Thanks meh! I'm Scared!
@andrd Is that someone you know? If so, then I'd be a little nervous. The selfie stick? Great timing now that so many places have banned them. lol
@andrd WTF is that! I'm scared too!
@Zelucifer Ah, so that's where my tackle box went.
@MEHcus Would you like it back?
@Zelucifer I too got a rusty tackle box with ancient fishing gear. Thanks for the lead poisoning, Meh!
@funkboy3 Photos?
@juststephen Ask and ye shall receive:
Not shown, a seemingly working Bluetooth earpiece and the obligatory bag.
I know they warned us, but boy howdy this one stunk. I wonder if I'm in the same boat as @andrd and @tugnut since I also got in before the captchas.
@funkboy3 oops, looks like i left the receipt in that book
@katylava Haha. In fact it was a post-it indicating nothing of interest to me (because Python is evil (whitespace for blocks is Wrong; Perl forever!))
@Zelucifer @funkboy3 Those tackle boxes are hilarious. I have a feeling I'll be joining your ranks soon. 32.5 lbs Fuko is coming my way tomorrow. Can't imagine what else it could be but a rusty tackle box filled with rocks!
I'll (re)-use the shipping box and of course the Fuku bag, and I've already released and experienced the rich complexities of Texas air. I will try mating and breeding the two wacky wobbler dolls when conditions allow.
See you in Hell.
@awk good thing you got two of those things so they can keep each other company. Otherwise they would likely kill you in your sleep...
@awk check out the meta site, or Meh.be it's in the app, but there are 3 (or so) reset options i've had to use, or just pitch it and save your time
@awk dude in no way do get to play the "an unshakable sense of despair and disappointment" card. FOr the 99.9% of us who tried and failed... to bitch about what you got is a tad insulting. haha.
I left work early today and waiting at home was my FUKO box! Beside the required bags of air (not sure if Teaxan or Chinese air...) I received:
- Memorex CD player w/ orange defective tag ("door won't shut") Very little hope for this one, but may be a good am/fm for the garage..
All in all, I'm pleased. Thank you Meh!
@transplant
@carl669 DOH! I even uploaded a photo. Guess I was overcome by all the excitement.
Here ya go!
@transplant that costume looks terrifying.
Alrighty then. Got my 8.6 pounder today in the mail.
Contents:
Kevin Dundon hamburger cooker
Magnovox Bluray/DVD player (display)
Black Fukobukuro Bag
Annnnndd....
A mother fucking Darth Maul Mask!!!
While I'm still waiting for one of those truly special boxes, this was one heck of a consolation prize. Here's to going for #11.
Thanks you fuckers!
I wanted to add, thanks Meh, this is my first bag and my first time being really active in the forum. Loving th unlucky bag...no if I can figure out what a certain audio/video file is on the spy watch.
Kevin Dundon burger maker - copper
Black Bag
spidey kids watch
usb hub and
fitbit charge HR
Got mine today...
Picture later:
Star wars action figure
Kevin Dundon Hamburger maker
Bluray player with wifi for netflix and other apps
Transformers 15 inch laptop sticker
Meh black bag
@Conklaven Folks are getting Bluray players.
18.4 Lbs
35x16x13
Meh Bag
Umbrella (woohoo)
Spiderman wall decal
Non working BT speaker/light
Colts ceramic serving dish
Half a body
Box was completely open, but I doubt anything was lost. Maybe it was the rest of the body escaping. Entertainment value was worth the price of admission.
Thx Meh!
@lichme May as well throw some Meh gear on it and display it for all to see forever and ever.
@MEHcus I think it would be much more fun to dress it up in creepy attire, and strategically place it around the house to scare the crap out of my wife.
@lichme There may or may not be something in it for you for a video posted of just such a thing happening. Just saying.
@lichme can practice getting to '2nd base'.
@ciabelle "...the 26 hermetically sealed samples of Irk's breath..."
Best description ever!
@ciabelle The carafe is replaceable.. I found one at Walmart for 10ish bucks. I did get the coffee maker from Meh I could take a reference pic for you to get the right one if you need.
@Kirgen Thanks, but no need to worry about that. DH de-sharded it, and it looks like the carafe from our (now) other coffeemaker is identical.
@ciabelle Sounds like you got the "Box O'" sister product to the popular Mainway Bag O' Glass.
@ciabelle wow I would use that pillow on my bus rides D: worth it!
Here you go suckers ;) no pics. I didn't save the video. So it's a time bomb! https://www.periscope.tv/w/adxGWzEzNTEwOTQ5fDFPeUtBcVpBcVpvS2Lq1QiwDHgvR-dx2Uvg5Y3Q933G7aZ3aAt_Q5kC7ytDjg==
@sohmageek I pretty much fucking hate periscope. I mean, yeah, if you absolutely only want something to be visible for the shortest possible time, sure.
I say this with love:
Mine updated to 17 x 17 x 17 and 14 lbs.
1 Disney Princess watch
1 ET story book
1 memorex CD boom box
1 food vacuum (again! I got one from my other Fuku)
1 meh bag
Thanks Meh!! Tried the boom box and it works so far!
I got
- kaloric deep-fryer
- Funia bluray player
- star-wars kids outfit
- metal collectible lunchbox and Meh bag
all in my 18.8 lbs box! Thanks MEH!
Picture maybe in the future... probably not im lazy``
@buteyn Damn, I would love a deep fryer :O
Very unlucky, as promised.
Best $5 spent.
ooma, refurb coffee machine, shower curtain, coors light hat, tote
http://imgur.com/DE27sGk
@Ignorant If that's the FME214, I bought that coffee machine. It's decidedly awesome.
@joelmw not mine. I was just posting the pic from above, but I'll pass the word along to @tinkleondabeach
@Ignorant
Damnit, I'm sloppy lately. Sorry. And thanks.
My 5.9 lb. Fukobukuro 2.
Black Fukobukuro bag (cool)
Pretty doll will missing foot and broken leg
Yurbuds Venture Pro (new in slighty squished box)
Toy Story shower curtain rings
Star Wars ruler
Two-pack leakfrogs
Cinderella watch with dead battery
Two Insteon wifi cameras (only one antenna)
This was my first Fuko/Fuku; I was quite pleased with it overall.
Mine is almost here still showing 2 lbs. Anyone else in the same boat?
@imzwho sometimes it never updates, it just shows up and the web tracking remains at placeholder levels.
@thismyusername
Now it shows 3.7lbs
Judged.
Verdict: @PurplePawprints = human.
@Ignorant Hmm, maybe you're on to something. It could be that Meh had already judged me and knew this which is why we got a decent box even though we were in before the CAPTCHAS. haha
@PurplePawprints There was a known defect on some models. Check here if yours is one of them.
@walarney Thanks for this info. I'll have my husband pull it back out of the box tomorrow so we can fill out the form and see if it's on the list.
Thank you!
@PurplePawprints I got one of those Onkyo's too (in a fuku). Pretty cool, died after a few months though.
@PurplePawprints Got the same receiver a few Fukus ago. Same problem. I gave it away. $5 big deal.
Out for delivery!
Got my 5.9lb no-captcha Fuko today, it contained:
1 Kevin Dundon burger maker
1 Outback Wacky Wobbler
1 Special K measuring cup
1 defective ("doesn't charge") Eclipse 4GB video player
as well as the requisite bag.
Received my 5.9lb 13x13x13 Fuko today
The Haul:
1 Special K Measuring Cup
1 defective [marked "doesn't connect to phone"] IZON 2.0 Wi-Fi Video Monitor
1 Alien Queen Wristwatch
1 Infinity Key Combo 8" Micro USB Case Keyboard
1 Quirky x GE Egg Minder
1 Meh Black Fukobukuro Bag
The wifi vid cam did appear to have connection issues but with a few resets and some other methods it works good as new!
overall very happy with my (un)luck!
@MrMark "Once you go brown, you never frown."
@MrMark mine disappear when I swim.
@MrMark I got one of those in a prior Fuku. It's pretty erratic at keeping track of the eggs (says there are eggs where there aren't and vice versa).
@mbenson43 I picked a couple of the eggminders up cheap, the one I opened does work, but it seems to have a battery appetite.
I have no idea how they thought this might ever be worth $59.99 to anyone...
- NickZone Lunch box (got this before)
- Spider man watch (does not work, or fit my wrist)
- Napoleon Dynamite photo album (got this before)
- USB Hub Man (got this before)
- Toshiba laptop charger
- Camera cord?
- Fuko Bag
meh. Can't wait to be 9/9 on bags.
[img][/img]
Fedex said 11x11x11 only 3.8lb.. when i saw the mailman walking in with a big box i got excited they messed up the weight. Ended up being 17x14x14 3 pounds :(
What could it be?
@looseneck Open it, we must know :O
@looseneck i'm guessing a giant statue of Gollum.
@dzieciom I had to walk the puppies first!
Ready?
Old and smelly salon chair with hair dryer!
@carl669 That's a very good guess - shape is almost the same!
The round top felt like a motorcycle helmet :)
@looseneck It's a statue of our dearly departed Irk. "He sacrificed his life so others would buy." RIP
Edit: Oh dang, I like my idea better, @looseneck. On the bright side, there's more junk for your hubby to play with.
@Barney If only it was :(
@looseneck That is amazing! If it actually works, I'd use it for sure. I could sit and read while drying my hair!
@PurplePawprints I found pieces of Ritz crackers in the seat crack - it's getting a good cleaning before my tushie hits that seat!
Too bad I cut most of my hair off.
@looseneck That's a hilarious thing to receive, I am satisfied. :P My measly 9 pounder awaits at home :)
@looseneck If it doesn't work that must be such an expensive joke for meh to make.
@looseneck My actual fuko:
Talking Dennis Miller doll
Transformers tin sign
Dolphin shower curtain
Soundboard Powerplus portable speaker (note: not charging)
Samsung Bluetooth headset
Black Fuko bag
@looseneck AND!!11!!!!1!
Purple unicorn pillowpet! It's almost a @Barney!!!
@dzieciom It's not going to rain the rest of the week. We'll see how long it takes for my husband to get it into the house :)
@looseneck Oh my goodness, what a pathetic looking Barney. On second thought, there are days that I look like that. -sigh-
@Barney I'll wash her and dry her and comb her fur and she'll look so much better
@looseneck ITS' SO FLUFFY!!!!!
@Teripie I'm not going to cuddle her until she's washed. I'm hoping no bedbugs!
@looseneck what's the Futurama item?!
@hashybrown Oops, that should have read Transformers laptop skin and Futurama collectible tin sign. It says 'Don't let the human race destroy outer space!'
@dzieciom My neighbor is a retired hair stylist and still works on some of her old clients. If it works, maybe she could use it.
@KDemo He defected? I haven't looked him up yet. Shower and work take precedent.
@looseneck He's faded quite a bit but still contributes to Whacko O'Reilly's show on Fox.
@KDemo I read that at first as "defecated." Works either way.
@cinoclav @looseneck I assume what @KDemo's talking about is when Miller stopped being funny. But I suppose that's good enough for FOX.
http://uproxx.com/tv/the-story-of-dennis-miller-going-full-conservative/
@looseneck @Thumperchick Can you delete the link I inadvertently posted about batteries? It's a scam site and I didn't realize until now.
@looseneck - @cinoclav & @looseneck are right. I just meant he defected from the land of logic. Doubly disappointing because he once was so sharply snarky and culturally savvy. Hateful hack, indeed.
@looseneck fixed!
@hollboll Thanks! And thank you for the excitement - it makes life worth living :)
@KDemo That's too bad. I used to watch him on SNL and he was very good.
@looseneck Will you be posting pictures of the rehabilitated unicorn?
@christinewas Thanks for reminding me - I'm placing her in the washer right now!
@christinewas @barney @teripie Cleansed and brushed purple unicorn meeting her brothers:
Kota giving her a sniff
Shadow letting her crawl all over him
@looseneck Shadow doesn't look too impressed. (Your unicorn does look a whole lot better.)
@looseneck Do you live in Texas?
@icerc Nope. I'm a vilified East Coaster
@looseneck It's ok, I'm from Floride
Thanks for the rusty tonka truck, meh!
@wa27 The old Tonka toys can command some good $$.
wonder pet costume
built kindle fire case
my little pony popup song book

147' of ......led lights?
what do I do with all these lights?
@VivaDaWolf the real question is, what CAN'T you do with all those LED lights?
@VivaDaWolf - Ooooh, good doggie! Hope he got a super treat for that!
@carl669 he cant make america great again.
@VivaDaWolf if you dont want those lights box them up and ill buy them. Come up with a price
I got:
Bulldog coffee mug
Small handheld flag without flag pole/stick
Under the Sea themed shower curtain
Shred Emulsifier blender thing
And probably one of my favorite random items ever, this beaut:
@zachary Papa Bear has a Meh face! Then again he's probably looking into a mirror seeing how they are dressed, cant blame him.
@BabyBear I was thinking more along the lines of "dear god I've gotten married, had a kid, haven't had sex in 14 months, given up on my dreams and I'm not respected at work."
But maybe you're right and it's just the vest.
My 25.2 box came today. It included
some (mostly popped) Texas air.
A Darth Maul rubber mask
An Alien watch (i thought it was a toy figurine but the tail wraps around your wrist).
A Contigo coffee mug
the Meh bag
and the heavy item. A Pioneer VSX-524-K receiver. Not sure if it works yet. It's a Meh return but no stickers saying why it was returned.
Nice Bathroom Scale
Adventure Time Neck Pillow
Funai Blu-ray Player
Robot Shower Curtain
Meh Bag
Meh Bag
Star Wars Ruler
Shower Hooks
Kevin Dundon Burger Maker
SJ-Series gyro 3.5ch helicopter (Box damaged by the sheer weight of the burger maker)
Overall, well meh...
Much closer to a fuku than a fuko. Now I can grill hamburgers and put them right in the bag for daughter's lunch.
@mcanavino If you are serious about wanting to share one of you black fuko bags, I didn't get one and would love to have it. Happy to pay any ship.
If you decide to keep it, that's good too.
You can @ me here and then I'll give you my email addy if yes. Thanks !
@ceagee For sure! You can send it to my account name here @ a very 'hot' mail service. It's on me.
@mcanavino Fantastic ! I sent email , let me know if you got it ok. Thank you for your generosity.
Too many nice Fukos coming in. We'll all have to wait until Thursday or Friday for mine to come in and bring it back down where it should be.
@Ignorant the down is already here, check mine down below
Well since this was all repeat pretty much:
Thanks Meh for my first Fuku/fuko, not the best but not the worst.
Overall, I am pleased
@dzieciom Blu ray player actually works, tried a disc and its all good, netflix works but it takes patience as the app is terrible on the player.
Mine arrived as well. Included in the box of joy was:
The Fuko bag (not pictured)
A 4 year old HP digital camera
An Adventure Time travel pillow
An alligator shaped toothbrush holder (or turd shaped as commented above)
And a Funai VHS and DVD player helpfully labeled "Defective" and "No Play Back"
Oh, and a lot of laughs and fun as we dug through.
@dauth Any pictures on the camera?
2 Nick Zone lunch bags
Kevin Dundon(seems to be heating fine)
Funai Blu-ray with a labelled defective remote(need to test the unit..im a netflix guy)
and ofcos meh bag cuddling some texas air packs
This was an awful unlucky box. Guess I get what I paid for...
@fyreblazer Wait, you got an Eco Coffee Cup in ONE piece? If so, I don't think you realize just how lucky your box actually is.
Finally got mine in
Contents
1. 12 bags of hermetically sealed texan farts
2.alien watch (hidden in roommates room)
3.Samsung branded travel cup.
4. Anikan (kida size) costume
5. Fuko bag
annnnnd
6. A wondeffully broken Nuvision tablet.
Charging port obviously broken will attempt a redneck fix
Greeted by an early arrival of the Fuku box today.
• Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker, used and a little fingerprinty no obvious defective sticker so we'll see
• Funai Blu-ray/DVD player with built-in Wifi LAN. Again, no signs of anything wrong on the packaging
• Adventure Time travel pillow
• Barbie Fashion Accessories teeny purse & matching gloves
Not as horrible a Fuku as people implied, will buy again! (And I was a pre-Captcha buy too, fwiw)
@MrHappypants - Pretty kitties.
@MrHappypants ohhh hope you kept the box out for a few days for the kitties. The wife really loves 8 or so of them out.
@Catdad Yeah, their box preferences skew a lot smaller, weren't terribly interested.
Fukubukuro tote bag (the real gem here)
Spool of light cable (w/ hundreds of mounting brackets)
Star Wars ruler
Hondo glasses & coasters
Halo flashlight
Creepy/Gorgeous doll
Olivia Newton John 8 Track
@ahqaz An Olivia Newton John 8-Track?
Best.
Fuk*.
Ever.
@ahqaz @Cloudscout You can sing along to your Fuko with her #1 hit "I honestly love you" on that 8 Track. ONJ was the very first concert I ever went to. I think I still have a crush on her.
@cinoclav I used to have a huge crush on her. Grease pretty much ruined that for me. Really, Sandra Dee, Leather?
Sometimes still if I listen to Have You Never Been Mellow, I can forget what happened after. Sigh.
Holy moly!
In increasing order of value:
- 45 ft of working rope light
- Meh bag
- Neck pillow from Adventure Time
- 12 sealed bags of TX air
- Alien figurine
- 3 empty bags of TX air
- VHS/DVD combo player (dumpster bound, even if it works, or perhaps Salvation Army)
@mmlivezey the worst, you win!
Mine was definitely....unique. First one I've gotten that weighed over 5 pounds...just shy of 30!
@Andywbeg NEMO!
I got the shower curtain but I need the hooks :)
I got my 8.3-lb non-captcha Fukobukuro 3 days early, and it contains:
Kevin Dundon burger maker
Coor's Light cap
Nick Tune Lunch Bag
defective Funai Blu-Ray player
fukobukuro bag (I want the pouch bag that was sent out last year)
Overall, I am not disappointed at all. Thanks meh!
Haven't read up here yet but here's my 24x24x12" Fuko haul:
Overall, not too unlucky in my book. Thanks (I think), Meh!
@djslack Far as I know, the symbols translate to 'Unlucky Bag'
@cinoclav Oh, I'm sure they do, but sometimes I just do things anyway out of curiosity. Plus sometimes the literal translation is funny.
My 3.3 lb fuko
@cation Great parenting.
(No, actually, it is; helicopter parenting is stupid. Gotta let them learn to be independent.)
@cation oh... you got a "zip finger pincher/phone stand" cool....
That's how you figure out how the world works, and how to deal with that world.
steps off soapbox
@thismyusername yeah, that's not going to get much play around here...
@cation Yep, I agree with you.
7.9 lbs, but the weight was obviously manipulated.
BACTrack Keychain
Silly Surfers Model
Midland Action Cam (720p)
The weird throw that I took the picture on
Fuko bag
Chas. W Shonk coin counting bank doesn't work and the base is kinda off, but could be neat for a collector. Quick search turned a few up on ebay.
Mine got here today!
Inside was:
- Small pile of Texas air
- Fuko bag (to add to my growing collection)
- An Anakin Skywalker costume in size small for 3-4 year olds (looks like it was opened before, but Yippee!)
- A Realistic condenser microphone with $15 label still attached (reviews look awful)
- A set of RMA Uniden 2-way radios (with Defective Item Tag still attached)
- A blue polka-dotted piggy bank
I haven't yet tested the mic or the radios, but the piggy bank is adorable and will become my new coin jar. And I'm trying to convince people to attempt to squeeze into the costume, but my persuasion skills appear to need a lot of work. Ah well, was worth a shot anyway.
Thanks Meh! Enjoyed the random silliness once again.
@kayanadyeath Realistic = a Radio Shack product. It's a zombie microphone!!
- VHS/DVD player with [Defective Product] sticker on it.
- Budweiser hat
- Meh FUKO bag
- Nickelodeon Lunchbox?
- Universal R50 URC Remote
Got mine 7.7 lbs 14in^3 box today, it was already half-opened! And it appeared while no one was watching, very curious!
10x Packs of Precious Texas Air
1x Darth Maul Mask
1x Kevin Dundon Hamburger Cooker
1x Insulated NickZone Lunch box
1x SJ-Series Crushed Helicopter (Working after fixed bent landing gear!)
1x Seriously Mangled Package of Cobra Radios (Which appear to work, missing instruction manual)
and the pièce de résistance
2x Black Fuko Bags
I figured if I got one bag it would be worth it, but two? Wow!
Mine arrived today in the biggest box I have ever gotten from the Post Office 12 x 24 x 24 but only 8.3 lbs.
And now for the contents
-Fuko bag
-Alien Queen watch (will hang nicely by the tail from my day pack)
-Spider Man watch
-Meep!X2 children's tablet with Post-it note saying not charging.
(I hope this is the right thread for it--I Really, really, didn't look that close.)
Hope the image works out.
[img][/img]
@wew
@wew You OK?
@wew We're all praying it's a box of sedatives.
@joelmw seconded
@joelmw I loved reading it. A fresh take on something that I get excited about but don't show anymore. Probably from all the Bags of Crap from Woot! I've purchased let's me know I won't win the lottery here on Meh and their Fuku
@wew Oh lord, I hope it's not a coffee maker.
• 6 bags of sumptuous heartland of America air (4 unfilled)
• approximately 12 inches of swanky bubble wrap
• a kiddie shaving set marked 98 cents
• jbuds earbuds (I already have 4 sets)
• Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer bottle topper
• classy bulldog ceramic mug (near miss guys, I own a pug)
• carabiner with LED flashlight and compass from a company in my birthplace of Toronto
• a snazzy black meh shopping bag
• and the coup of all gras'- a 1960 Baia ultra vue 35 automatic slide viewer in tip- top mint condition.
@spectra242 Beautiful furbabies.
@spectra242 Just an aside but kudos to your Lightning for a quality moment of silence before the game for my Flyer's beloved Ed Snider. They kept it classy, unlike the Penguins fans who yelled insults during their short tribute.
@juststephen Thanks, Coco and Kira
@spectra242 Beautiful cats.
How to describe my fuko.....meh. Perfect word. It was so meh.
The fuko bag.
A pokemon wall decal
A small room air purifier
An enGenius outdoor internet thing
and
A broken toy duck that waddles over to you when you blow the whistle
@lisaviolet Do we at least get a picture of the lasagna then?
@MEHcus Yeah, okay, I'll get a picture of the lasagna.
@MEHcus
@lisaviolet Okay, now the fuko for scale.
@lisaviolet Hmm, lasagna looks used.
@MrMark I use Ricotta. No cottage cheese here.
@MEHcus
Cats are Pancho and Sagwa. The steps are made out of foam and glued together so Miss Elizabeth, the 22 year old, can get up on the sofa and into the window. And I forgot to list out that totally awesome metal Memphis Belle trash can.
Ducky's new travel arrangements.
Recipe I used.
http://www.muellerspasta.com/recipes/no-boil-classic-lasagna
@cinoclav Only part of it was used, the rest is still intact.
And perfect.
Pretty average fuko I think:
Kevin Dundon hamburger griller - will def use
Meh bag - going with all the other bags
Transformers 15" laptop sticker/cover - using on laptop
nick zone lunch cooler - will use at somepoint
and 1 bluray player marked as defective - As you can see the disc drive is stuck, no matter, I just shoved that back in and will use it for the other features like netflix... I mean, who really uses actual discs these days anyways?!
@mehybe Ooh I wish I got the Transformers decal
@Tukaro Yeah, works pretty well:
@mleavor Mine is 11.4lb.. Same dimensions.. Will it be similar or are the simularities in weight/size purely coincidental?
Thanks, Meh!!!!
Star Wars Episode 1 Anakin Skywalker child's Halloween costume (unused in original packaging, but the mask is dried out so a little crumbly)
Set of 12 Toy Story shower curtain hooks (seems to be new in box)
Rival vacuum sealer (refurb)
Kevin Dundon burger machine (new in box)
Meh Fuku bag
No GoPros or juicers or blurays for me; well worth more than the $10 I paid, but pretty useless overall yet still fun.
(I hope they put those knock off GoPros they had last month back up for sale, I really want something like that.)
I was able to grab my first deal on the Fuko. I had no idea how awesome this was going to be. 12.1 lbs in my mailbox right now for when I get home, excited to report. This community is awesome.
Texas seems to have the scariest antique stores.
Got my Fuku Today! 15 lbs
Pretty excited about this! I got a resident evil wall decal, a wine glass that says "I'm leaving his ass" (that my wife can't stop laughing at), an Icoffee Jet brewer (yay!), a meh bag, and... and a dash console from a very old car? hahahaha
WTF lol
Excited about the ICoffee, because we definitely need a new coffee pot... but the box looks damaged so I don't have a lot of hope. Of course the wine glass was intact sooo...
But on opening it's actually perfectly intact! YAY! Thanks Meh! The dogs really loved the bags of irk breath.
Edit: See, I was totally wrong. Lol
@march5th00 @cinoclav GM Pickup
http://www.classicindustries.com/product/truck/parts/cx1533.html
@zachdecker Knew someone would have the answer. Thanks! Now I want to know where the fuck they went shopping for all this crazy Fuko crap.
@cinoclav Shopping? Pshhh, it's all just laying around the warehouse, duh.
@zachdecker @march5th00 @cinoclav reproduction selling for 499. I'm going to guess you have the real deal. Maybe worth something on ebay. Junk isn't always junk.
@march5ht00 adorable pups. American Eskimo ?
@ceagee i'll have to see if i can get any interest on ebay. Thanks.for the heads up. Theyre Samoyeds! And thanks!
My 8.2 lb box was on the porch by noon today.
aaannnd
1 meh bag
1 set Toy Story shower curtain hooks
1 returned defective (static) bluetooth speaker
2 of the most useless internet-enabled device ever created. WiFi enabled egg trays
and
1 broken wine glass
Hey Meh! does that "No broken glasses" policy extend to Fukos?
Luckily it was all contained in the packaging, no glass shards in the box.
@webender I didn't know there was such a thing as a wifi enabled egg tray. But now that I do, holy shit is that stupid!!!! (:
Mine was awesome, until....
I received:
The dvd/vcr (defective: Grey on AV Mode?)
Alien Watch
Meh Bag
A tablet/HDTV Receiver
That tablet is really cool, and worked great. Until I went to charge it. The USB is broken off inside. I am on phone now with RCA to see if they will repair. It was factory new, still had cling film on it and was neatly packed, so I will see. They say they want the original receipt, so wonder what they will make of my Fukobukuro receipt! Can't hurt to see.
9lbs
Some weird star wars figure thing
A coorslight baseball cap
broken/defective blu-ray player. The remote is kinda cruddy and gross, idk why.
One of those grill things.
I don't really need a blu-ray player. I'll probably just take it to bits. But all in all it wasn't awful. No scary demon old lady voodoo doll or whatever that thing was.
@Nexar okay i'll bite; long time lurker, first time commentator!
Congats on your fuku!
I feel obligated to identify your "weird star wars figure" as Prince Xizor from Shadows of the Empire.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Shadows_of_the_Empire
Now I want to rev up an N64 emulator and crawl back into the lurkers' caverns... gollum!
A nice good old-fashioned cookie jar, just like grandma used to have.
@Mofongo i'm pretty sure you just won the fuko lottery. sells for $60 on ebay
My fuko is waiting for me when I get home from work, but I really hope there is a beer baseball cap in it. My boyfriend has a Miller one and I love it! But like with a bag of crap I am not holding my breath for anything.
Mine arrived today!
-1TB DVR/DVD player "defective" that I'll take apart and if I can't fix it at least a free 1TB HD
-Android Tablet (that someone smoked a whole carton of cigarettes into)
-Adventure Time Neck Pillow
-Pokemon wall graphix
-Meh bag
It's here!
Some Texas air... and no rusty tackleboxes that I see, that seems like a good start...
The goods...
meh.tastic box for me!
-meh. bag
-Desk fan with dented grill. Blows
-Hondo glasses and coasters. One glass arrived completely shattered, the e-shopper in me wants to complain to someone, but being a fukobukuro I'm unsure if it was on purpose...
-Resident evil wall decals
-Old, broken typewriter that weighs a ton.
-34 bags of air, not in pictures.
Overall I give it 5/7 meh.s
@elgefe That typewriter is a great score! (Feel free to send it my way if you don't like it. It'd go great with the big rusty can I got in my Fuko. )
Arrived home from work to find my unluckily box sitting apropriately enough on its side on my porch. Popped it open as soon I could and found the following contents.
-meh bag (not pictured)
-bags of irk breath
-Finn the Human Boy backpack
-creepy/cool camera watch
-polk headphones (that seem to be a repacked return)
-flash cards from an unfortunately named company (I'm curious about the meeting where they saw no problem with the name "flashkids" )
WOO HOO!
Darth Maul mask
Miller Lite hat that will be perfect for Indy 500 weekend
Burger maker (WTF?)
Bag
Blu-ray player, supposedly defective. I plugged it in and the menu comes up. It plays a music CD. Don't have any blu-rays handy to test it out though.
@bruceoite Update! Watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens last night on the Blu-ray player. Didn't encounter a single issue!
I am happy with mine. I got the shower curtain, Air Cleaner, a "broken" Magnavox cd player, says it skips around, played a disk could not get to repeat defect. bag.
Thank you!
@Thumperchick - She's looking dubiously at that lamp. "What have I gotten myself into?"
@Thumperchick Glad to see you posting! Nice Fuko there.
@Thumperchick tooooo sweet....
Good mine today. Much bigger than the 17x17 it was supposed to be. The haul:
Futurama trash can. (Awesome!!)
Bēm Bluetooth Alarm clock (has postit note that says DOA, but seems to work great!
Meh bag
Some weird ass mineral water system. No idea what I would do with it, but I search around and they retail for alot! Might try my luck on eBay, but I have no idea if it is all here.
And last but certainly not least...
A Cinderella LCD watch with stones on case!!!!!!
So, here's my haul for this round.
Meh Bag
Kevin Dundon Burger Press
Aliens LCD wrist watch
Special K measuring cup
Sanyo Blu-Ray player
The Meh bag was Meh, the burger press was NIB and looks like a gimmicky keeper, the Aliens wrist watch has dollar store written all over it, the measuring cup seems cool (for some reason that I don't understand) And the Blu-Ray player is actually fully functional. Tried a Blu-Ray, a DVD, and a CD and everything worked great. Now to go to the basement with the 2 other Blu-Ray players I have gotten from Fuku's.
Got a box of old BK toys
Also got the bag, a used and probably broken quadcopter, a pokeman thingie, and a Futurama sign.
@rand3y Snarf!
@rand3y that's kind of an awesome fuko...
@cation I agree. I'm pretty stoked about it. Next person at my office who goes on vacation is going to have their office Snarfed!!
@rand3y I'm weirdly excited for your box of sna-arf!
@Thumperchick There are SOOOO many possibilities for mischief when you have a giant box of Snarfs to play with!!
@rand3y seriously how much for the box of snarfs........or at least one
@rand3y that's so rad
MAYBE THE GREATEST FUKO/FUKU OF ALL TIME, and everything works
cat not included
New touchscreen computer, bluray player, and some clearly fancy watches
@clark8am seriously nice haul.
@clark8am Excellent! None of mine was broken either. You got a better value, but I am super happy with mine too.
meh indeed...
I got:
Kevin Dundon Burger Machine
Fuku Bag
Adventure time neck pillow
Toy Shaving kit
"Defective" Wifi Bluray player - I didn't have a bluray player before this and it seems to play DVDs fine (sticker says defective CD tray) so it's pretty great.
Thanks Meh!
Sorry, no pic. Co-workers walked off with everything before I remembered to snap one.
Got:
Fuko Bag - MINE!
Kevin Dundon Burger Machine - went to someone who would use it. (I don't like hamburgers)
Star Wars Ruler - went to Star Wars fanatic co-worker
Nick Zone lunch box - went to co-worker named "Nick"
Stem Izon wi-fi Video Monitor (yes, probably the one for sale today) with a note indicating it was defective - went to tinkerer co-worker.
Fuko bag
Heavy duty black pants (remind me of paintball or moto-x pants)
Fleece blanket
Camo backpack
Mario wall graphix
True Blood bar sign/mirror
808 Duo wired/wireless headphones.
Wait...There was something else in there.

The pièce de résistance...
Unfortunately it was damaged, probably during shipping but maybe before?
What animal is that? Antelope?
@agermane Looks like someone made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
@agermane it looks like they're telling you to be the May goat. Or that they want you dead. Maybe both?
@agermane I'm going to guess that cutting the head off was the only way it fit in the box. Is there a video of @moose with a saw anywhere?
@agermane It is a rare, primitive breed of sheep from the UK, called the Manx Loaghtan. They are considered "at risk" and are protected in the UK.
Meh:
Able Planet Clearvoice stereo headphone in a busted box
Woot:
iChair iPad case (first gen) & Philips Actionfit arm band (size L/XL)
Winner: Meh, by a hair. Just because there's always a market for headphones. But old Apple accessories? Ehh...
Category: Potential Kitschy Gift for a Friend
Meh: Elvis tin serving tray
Woot: Screaming Monkey (Bandoleer of Carrots cape) and Star Wars Tie Fighter toy
Winner: Woot. Always side with the Screaming Monkey.
Category: Perfect Accessory for a Desperate Housewife
Meh: Wine Glass that reads, "I'm Leaving His Ass!"
Woot: Home Organization & Storage book
Winner: Meh for not being boring.
Category: "WTF am I Supposed to Do with THIS Shit?"
Meh: Old Wollensak cassette player from some high school audio program in the 1970's (and weighs at least 15 pounds)
Wood: One snow glove and a transforming reading light
Winner: Meh all the way. I mean seriously, WTF am I going to do with that? My wife is going to be so pissed off at me!
So, after five rounds, Meh comes out on top with a score of 4-1. Thanks for playing, everybody!
@denton A for both effort and results. Thanks!
@denton I also got a BOC and the Fuko. Have to say that this time, other than the Fuko bag, Woot wins (and that is surprising). I was wondering if maybe Meh was switching to all fukos instead of fukus by outsourcing them to Amawoot.
4.1 lbs
1 x fuko bag
1 x cereal measuring cup
1 x usb hub man
1 x jlab pro-7 android tablet
1 x rca android table (with built-in TV tuner)
Both tablets charge and turn on. They don't really look like returns as the power cables don't look disturbed. I did, however, have to do do a factory reset on both because they were past the "welcome" setup process. One of them had a couple fingerprints on the screen...maybe used for product photos? Would explain why they were both past the welcome screens so they could get a good screen photo. Don't know... I'm pleased they work even though they're a bit old.
Thanks, meh!
Got a great FUKO!
Came with a Fuko bag. Got an old tonka thing, a pez piggy bank, a usb light and a PREDATOR cookie jar. Legit.
@TenaciousT - I LOVE that predator cookie jar! I'd definitely give up the tablet I received to have snagged one of those. :-) Awesome get!
@TenaciousT what adorable little feet came on your box!!
OK... here is what showed up....
and last but not least.... a golden boot award plaque?
I can't find the name in the list of official golden boot awards... and I can't find the name in imdb... and it doesn't look like the actual golden boot award trophies... so it could be a lost forgotten western actor... or someone could have made it for a friend... it is literally a boot painted gold. Anyone have any info?
Thanks meh...!
@thismyusername I guess they wanted to give you the boot.
@thismyusername There is also a golden boot award given by the International Association of Gay Square Dancing Clubs. So says the Internet, and I could not make that stuff up. I did not see anyone on the list named Tex.
@thismyusername what does it say where the glare is on the name plate?
@stardate820926 "THE"
the whole thing is:
THE GOLDEN BOOT AWARD
L.H. TEX DOWNING
Ok I found the unlucky part... the KRUPS coffee maker has some physical damage, some broken plastic... so I filled it up to see if it leaks and it doesn't... so only a cosmetic crack.
A rather cra... er... (sorry!) meh photo of my fuko:
Hamburger Maker (new in sealed box)
Cheap crap Sanyo Blu-Ray player (marked defective, but in a "sealed by repair company" box, so maybe a return that got sent out for repair? I should test it, but more likely will forget I have it and eventually give it away)
Transformers ("Robots In Disguise!") laptop skins/stickers (gave to guy who works for me that has 30 or 40 transformers and the like in his office... he said, "Hmmm... Now I'll have to buy a laptop.")
Nickelodeon collapsible padded/insulated lunch box (if it were ONLY SpongeBob, would go to daughter unit 2 but it has other characters on it as well, so she may not want it)
MEH bag!!!
All in all, an awes... er.. mildly meh Fuko
Got my Fuku!
Got mine.
Defective Funai DVD and VCR player. (no cords or remote.)
NICK JR bag
Cartoony neck pillow.
Meh bag.
Texas air.
That's it, folks. Unlucky indeed. I'll be junking the VCR/DVD player... Won't even power on.. (Power cable is permanently attached).
The only thing interesting about mine is that there's a label on the box that reads Meh Fukubukuro. Does that mean that my Fukobukuro is yet to come and this one was just something extra? I suppose we'll see.
My Fuko!
At least the box is good for temporary cat funtimes.
@ninjaemilee Yup. Our cat is in the box right meow.
The only thing interesting about mine is that there's a label on the box that reads Meh Fukubukuro. Does that mean that my Fukobukuro is yet to come and this one was just something extra? I suppose we'll see..
I'm not holding my breath. :)
To go with my random box of Fuko, I took photos of the items in random places in my apartment
And some C batteries.
Got my Fuko today. Not sure about the weight, but the carton was definitely bigger than 11x11x11. However, the top was slightly open and an edge bent back, so I don't know if anything was removed before I got home. Perhaps the Roomba I've been longing for?
• Fuko bag
• Outback 15th Anniversary Wacky Wobbler (1988-2003)
• Aprons & Attitude "I'm Leaving His Ass" wine glass
• New Infinity Key Combo 8" Micro USB Case & Keyboard for 8" Tablet (now I need a tablet)
• Mohu Channels Personal TV Guide.
First fuku/fuko and time for obligatory photo postings!
The highlight my my fuku:
A GIANT RC HELICOPTER!!!!
It lights up and looks like it'll fly....
but there was NO CONTROLLER OR CHARGER
Maybe this got left at Meh HQ or someone else got it?
Willing to trade/buy/barter/die for it.
If not... much sadness and time to hit up eBay and buy $40 worth of heli equipment to get this thing up and running.
Other things:
A giant football helmet juice container or something? Labeled Jets on the side...
A pair of Cobra walkie talkies
A blanket labeled "cozy"
@eulestadt Your TX radio (transmitter) looks just like this:
It's available from Banggood for $20 with free shipping.
@ruouttaurmind thanks man.
saved my sanity as I was about to run into the local hobby shop waving the helicopter and a hundred dollar bill in the air and shouting "GIVE ME A CONTROLLER!"
Got my fuko today, probably the highest quality one for me to date, but the least entertaining.
More exciting was the other meh package that contained 6 x-mini speakers that I used to make this sound producing speaker-centipede:
@Angryface You could probably get good surround sound with those.
@ninjaemilee If the surrounding sound is mono.
My 14 pound fuko arrived today, and turned out to be bigger than FedEx thought at 24x24x12.
Box included...
Thanks meh!
The clock looks like this one:
http://www.clockway.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=C&Product_Code=NYC36100SNU&gclid=CKSipvafj8wCFdgOgQodQxIDsw
@zachdecker It could be one of those rare Hammelburg Cuckoo Clocks?
My Bag came in ,
1 black Fuko bag
1 dolphin printed shower curtain
1 Star Wars BB-8 RC robot
1 Indianapolis Colts football helmet ceramic crock and ladle set
1 wrought iron umbrella stand base
And
A leather saddlebag with two smaller leather purses inside, all inside a drawstring bag
Sorry for no pics
Thanks for the haul Meh
Big money!
(1) Black bag of empty
(1) Collector's Barbie purse of excessive packaging
(1) VCR-DVD recorder of returned brokenness
(2) Slightly dented Bubba mugs of less than half full
(1) Adventure Time neck pillow (not shown)
Thank you Meh.
So, THANKS, Meh!
@cwolfpack3 meh sent a screaming monkey? what does its cape say on it?
@thismyusername No. Woot sent one. Meh sent a screaming boombox. +1 for Meh!
Box early +1 to Woot
Box open and possibly missing contents -1 Woot
Box sealed and properly packed +1 Meh
Box arrived later - AT LEAST IT WAS SEALED AND ALL IN ONE PIECE!
Smelly, cheap nail polish vs. smelly cheap shower curtain
No bags of aire libre de Tejas vs. a lot of bags of it.
Cheap bonus items - even steven
empty box vs. Kalorik FT 26175 Professional Style Triple Basket Deep Fryer with Digital Control, 4 L, Stainless Steel ($80 on Amazon)
Delighted sons on the autism spectrum who LOVE french fries and all things carbolicious - priceless
Final tally:
Woot - zero
Meh - priceless + 4
The rest of the haul includes:
104X88 all polyester comforter
Resident Evil wall decals
Silly Surfer model kit - "Crusty Crustacean Included!"
Rival food sealer - surprisingly similar to the one I got in the last Fuku...
Black Fuku/o bag to join my pink one.
Great stuff. Thanks meh! Unfortunately my 9y/o wants to hang the fish in his room. Not gonna happen meh, good try. Maybe we'll give it a proper viking funeral, I bet that plastic will burn good.
@bluebeatpete That's awesome. That's a Northern Pike by the way. A good sized one as in Michigan, the legal limit is 25" so 40" is a true monster.
@bluebeatpete
I do not want to be downwind of that.
I thought I would be able to bring this thread back down from all these great Fukos but doesn't look like that's going to happen because I'm pretty happy with mine.
Box size: 35x16x13
Weight: didn't check (though I did get a scale)
- Lots of freshly sealed air and bubble wrap
- 1 walking cane
- 1 Cozy blanket
- 1 Obi Wan kids costume
- 1 Keychain breathalyzer
- 1 Escali bathroom scale
- 1 black unlucky meh bag
- 1 mannequin torso/head
Thanks meh always fun!
Beep boop
@Ignorant so glad that thing found a new home.
@Ignorant I got one of those scales in my Fuko and it works well.
@Ignorant I like the scale for scale.
Fuck what a load of crap.
The obligatory Fuko bag.
Blockbuster VHS head cleaner tape. A piece of history?
Resident Evil wall graffix
Umbrella with missing latch so it won't close all the way.
Nerf Rampage gun missing any ammo.
Mute Dennis Miller doll.
Nile board game missing 1 tile.
Some weird spring loaded piece with the gold color top, not sure what it is but the wood "handle" is split.
Plenty of bags of air.
@owlhooter Second prize is a talking Dennis Miller doll.
My Weirdest Fuku/Fuko...
Way bigger box than fedex reported
[img][/img]
Air plus some bubble wrap
Monkey Bag - Cool
Blue Stuffed Monkey - Nice
Fuku Bag - Cool
Talking Dennis Miller - Odd/Interesting
Old Used 'I presume' sleeping bag - Kind of a nice one, I thought.
That's what I call him.
and also a few pieces of Fu Mehnchu's hat that broke off
[img][/img]
Fu Mehnchu is watching you!
[img][/img]
I love all this crazy shit. Thanks Meh!
@ugadogch It looks like Zoltar from the movie "Big". Be careful what you wish for around that thing.
@ugadogch @hollboll @galmaegi Just wanted to thank you guys so much! I really loved the 'behind the scenes' glimpse that I got of 'finding' Fu Mehnchu. So Cool. I can't find your post here in the forum so I think maybe you had to delete it or something. Thanks Again!
Similar stuff to others, so no pic. Very nice, though, thanks Meh! The haul;
12x bags of Texas Air
1x Black Fuko Bag
1x USB Hubman
1x Alien Queen Watch (Creepy!)
1x Kevin Dundon Burger Grill
1x Sanyo Blu-Ray Player.
Got my Fuko finally. There are some strange things in here. The combined retail value of all these things is much higher than I would ever pay for them, so on paper $5 seems like a deal. But now I just have to figure out what the heck to do with it all… what to do…
1 x Fuko bag (new)
1 x Wonder Pets Turtle Tuck Costume (new)
1 x Quadtec Digital Watch case, band hardware and two spare bands, but missing the watch (returned)
1 x Predator Cookie Jar (new)
1 x Memorex FlexBeats Bluetooth Boombox, (new with slightly damaged box)
1 x 1970’s Parker Brothers Board Game - HEY PA!
@mehdaf Seems like an important piece in the history of board games.
@wolper That's interesting, thanks for sharing. You can have it for free if you want it, just pay shipping...
Thanks Meh!
@janetv I spy The Venetian.
@janetv you got the best one! is the lady hot?
@MEHcus I totally get it! Things like....this...happen. It was like a beautifully naked Easter egg. An extremely explicit Easter egg.
@janetv props to you for taking the high road.
@darkzrobe im guessing it would save meh a huge headache if you just wiped it and enjoyed your ample, albeit precarious, g-drive.
Got mine yesterday. I think I may have won the Fuko lottery!
Box was 24x24x12 and weighed 32.5 lbs!
Contents:
10x Bags of sweet Texas air
1x Spiderman watch
1x NOAA walkie-talkies
1x Meh bag
1x Adventure Time neck pillow
1x Swann 4-channel HD DVR Security system!
Haven't tried out the security system yet, but assuming it works, that is awesome. It's listed on Amazon for $1,460.55! eBay and a few other sites have it around $750-$900. But, still, holy crap. Thanks Meh!!
@jsh139 You can use the security system to watch your mailman deliver packages to your house!
@zachdecker With a package so valuable, it is a shame it didn't arrive before @jsh139 won the fuko.
@Cloudscout Hey, we watched that boring shit in good faith. You're the freak who posted it. And captured it in the first place.
@Cloudscout What camera/system brand is that? Nice quality.
@MrMark That's a Hikvision camera. I use Blue Iris to control my cameras.
Mine showed up yesterday!
1 Funai Blu-Ray/DVD player (havent tested yet)
1 Hamilton Beach flexbrew coffee maker (used)
1 Disney Frozen wrist watch
1 Shaving set
1 Meh bag
The coffee maker still had a K-cup loaded and is missing some parts. The carafe side seems to work ok but the K-cup side seems to have issues, I'll have to pull everything apart and see if I can make it whole again!
@Coogles My daughters would slap you for calling that a Frozen watch.
@Coogles You're treading on dangerous ground. That's Cinderella. Slaps would be minor compared to the withering scorn of a 5-year-old given this when she was hoping for a real Frozen watch.
@OldCatLady I shall flog myself as penance for my grievous mistake. Luckily, no 5-year-old girls were disappointed due to my carelessness.
the mailman left a "Sorry we missed you" even though there were 6 cars where in the driveway and we were home all day. I called yesterday and asked why it wasn't delivered and today I called again today and they said it's not there.. .... now according to the tracking they are shipping it back???
WTF USPS??
@icerc Get in touch with Meh support- https://meh.com/support. They'll get it sorted for you.
Tagging @MEHcus for you.
@icerc Most people don't get a Fuko second shipment, but you'll definitely be getting one here!
Larger box than expected. Included:
-Cat Box
@darkzrobe If you can supply it 13.5v it should be fine for indefinite charging without any special circuitry (see http://www.powerstream.com/SLA.htm).
Thanks for the manual specs, now I know what to shoot for to power mine.
@djslack Let me know what you end up getting. I might buy one also as I dont think my 12V one is working.

That is the one I was looking at on amazon, but $20 seems way to much for something I can get from china for $3ish
@djslack Tried to open it up and it was being evil and the plastic was breaking from the rough shipping. It has gone in the trash. Maybe the burger maker will be fun...
Well my stash - no picture unless i get it uploaded, and I'm lazy.
All in all quite meh, but not displeased. Was fun.
IT guy at work didn't get one, he wasn't fast enough on the captcha's (do it again, hehehe), so I brought it to work and opened it there.
@Cerridwyn Hah! A cardboard cat house in this house would be chewed to bits by my cat that confettis cardboard. That cat bites a piece and spits it out, rinse and repeat. : )
@Kidsandliz LOL! back when I had cats they thought both paper bags and cardboard boxes were the best toys around.
I wanna say more, but shhhh,
"...........Hi everyone! I'll pretend you don't know me, since you probably don't. I got a Fukobukuro 2 that was delivered a few days ago, and I wrote about it, but let's
try to forget all about that!
And hopefully, I haven't been banned from all future forms of fukoooo's.
did someone hear something?
@wew - Not sure, did you say you couldn't find this post?
No, I found that one quite easily. But thanks anyway for the link. I never get tired of reading fine literature. The post I meant was yesterdays' post, which did not show up for me. If it showed up for you, then you ,indeed, lead a charmed life!
@wew You need to stop writing and start opening :) We are all very curious now!
I wonder if the boss would understand I have to leave early because I have a fukobukuro at home that 'ain't gonna unwrap itself'.
@wew if s/he doesn't understand then I think it's time for you to quit.
I received my fuko yesterday! 17 lbs 22x15x15 box
-Pokemon Wall Decal
-Indianapolis Colts Jar with a football ladle (Anybody a fun of the colts?)
-60 cap guns(Can't tell if they are actually worth anything, found a few links online ranging from $4-20 a piece.)

@runninredman so yea, it looks like you inherited a cap gun collection. I hope you realize this means you need to tag @capguncowboy who may really desire these, based on his chosen form of self expression...
@mehdaf I'm in.
@runninredman If you're selling, I'm interested
@capguncowboy Yeah, how should we communicate?
@capguncowboy Email me at capgunmeh@1usemail.com The email will expire in about 1 hour, once you email me I will send you an email from my actual account
@runninredman i use this name in all sorts of places, like Google mail and such
@runninredman email sent
I guess Meh doesn't want me to show my mediocre image? Try this again...
@Tukaro first one showed for me. But the repost allows me to admire your "Dundun-Mifflin" all over again. lol
@therealjrn Yeah, it looks like imgur was overloaded and stuck on loading for me, so mine wouldn't load and the end result is I look like a stupid.
well, ok. Palm are a bit sweaty. I think we should get this over quickly.
Alrhight I had the box rightside up. I wasn't sure. The pic should be coming out for you all, maybe.
@wew
O.K. this isn't easy!
@wew
!ohhhh
yeah! a dennis miller talking doll! very unlucky!
Cool!
@wew
Where did I leave off at?
ok, this is like the last big thing I think. And it's the best of the lot! I love it. really. love . it. really!

It's perfect and I love love love it!

And something to keep it all safe and warm and cozy! Yeah! I couldn't be happier. And i kept everything short, so people wouldn't be throwing knives at me! Oh, I could have typed a mile more. I'm really, still, I'm reeling! I hope everyone has a fantastic night, and I'm off to play with stuff!
I hate to say goodbye, but
cheers!
@wew
@wew
@wew goodbye
Was anyone else's labeled as a fukubukuro, not a fukobukuru?
I'm enjoying seeing what everyone got, keep posting!
Had lots of fun opening this box:
Gambler Mini Derringer pop gun!
2 batteries
Summer Study flash cards
RC Chopper with Busted controller
Ninja style meh bag
Amazing score - Vintage Keystone K100 8mm projector
The projector seems to be in very good condition.
It powers up and spins. If I can find something to play
on it, my hipster credibility may finally skyrocket!
Thanks Meh!
Can anyone recommend some good source of 8mm films (not home movies).
@jkump150 make sure you don't use a rare 8mm to test it
and "Home Movies" is too new to be on 8mm
Cool score!
@Pavlov thanks for the tips!
@thismyusername now I want home movies!
24x24x12 box, about 60% filled with encapsulated Irk farts.
1 Fuko bag
1 adventure time neck pillow
1 Alien queen wristwatch
1 Memorex small CD player/boombox with a loose piece of solder rattling around inside (return label complained about the rattle; fixed that and the unit works fine)
1 Sherwood DS10 docking station for IPod (30 pin varieties).
Love it!
Here's my Fuko contents:
The Fuko Bag
A 46 year-old Mattel toy called "Super Eyes" in it's original box. Very cool!
An Ed Hardy light box. Finally something that works!
7" RCA HDTV and Android tablet. This thing has an extendable antenna. Broke. More later.
Resident Evil Wall Graffix
calling @galmaegi
@Mehrocco_Mole mad writing skills!
@galmaegi And the artwork too!
@Mehrocco_Mole I got that same light box in last years Fuko. I'm still trying to find someone to dump it on.
@Ignorant My 23 year-old snapped it up. He took the graffix too.
I've been lucky enough to get a couple Fukus now and this is by far the most random one.
1 wine glass that has a 50s housewife and the quote 'Leave his ass!'
1 Sonicare Toothbrush with a large 'Defective' sticker
1 Special K measuring cup
1 Fuku bag
and the weirdest...
1 WiFi egg holder that will call you and tell you when your eggs are bad or you run low on eggs.
@Bingo Does anybody have a hack for the egg thing? It must be good for something.
One of the funniest things about this is that one of my questions to Irk that he answered had to do with me eating eggs.
Sorry I'm late getting this posted, but I've been slammed lately. Received my Fuko Friday, and was pleased to find a fairly normal assortment:
1) Mighty Charger for recharging all types of batteries including regular alkaline (this scares me and went direct to the Goodwill pile)
2) Dolphin and fish shower curtain (not bad if you are into that sort of thing: Goodwill pile)
3) Undamaged ceramic Eco Travel Mug (nice but small: emergency gift box)
4) Mohu Channels with 10% off code for needed antenna (no one in our family watches TV, but if this works and can pick up OTA stations, it could go to daughter who resorts to foreign IP address to watch Olympics...any reviews or insights are welcome)
5) Lovingly bubble-wrapped ancient flip-number clock-radio (despite ominous loose piece rattling inside, it seems to have better sound and ability to pull in stations than our last clock-radio; husband may keep for use in garage)
6) Iconic Fukobukuro shopping bag
http://imgur.com/Wvai3Ce
What I love about this Fuko is how much variety there was among everyone's boxes. I usually get my box late, and when I read the thread I see multiples of everything I got. Rather than be redundant, I usually end up skulking back into the shadows instead of posting.
Oh, and this also came Friday:
72 cases
Each containing eight
Thanks Meh! It was quite the experience!
@gio look up when the next star wars convention is going to be in your area and drop them off by the entrance with "free" on them... I'm sure they'd be gone in an instant. Or post to some star wars forum. Somebody would likely pay you for them.
@gio -Too funny! This might be my favorite fuko experience so far. You're a good sport, so glad you have a sense of humor.
@gio his expression probably matches everyone at meh as they shipped that pallet out.
@gio Those are currently selling for $7.99 on ebay, shipping included.
Such is life!
@PenguinOnTheRox Know it will match mine when they are finally out the door and someone else's problem!
Dash premium juicer (nib)?
Adventure Time neck pillow
Nick Zone lunchbox/cooler
Blu-ray dvd player w/ wireless lan and remote
Fuku bag.
Thanks for making my 1st Fuku a great experience meh!
@Nyc_Tattoo -Nice! Looks like you live (or get packages) at a Parisian sidewalk cafe, but I see from your username it's gotta be NYC.
@KDemo Not anymore. Recently moved and I should really drop the "y", but meh, been using this username for about 20 years. That's actually the inside of my local coffee haus / craft brew pub.
@Nyc_Tattoo STAIRS?!??!?! LMAO
@dickfarts Yes, I am protected.
@Nyc_Tattoo found the SA people
Got home from vacation today to find my Fuko:
1 Budweiser trucker hat
1 Defective DVR (tag says it deletes last chapter of last recording)
1 Barbie purse thing
1 Acer Chromebook 15
1 Meh bag
Also waiting for me:
3 other boxes of meh crap that I had ordered.
THANKS MEH!
Hey Meh, when you were woot, you had some great household and kids play deals. I'm using the small heater and air purifier. What's up!
(All dead...)
a slightly better keyboard than the water proof one I got a month ago on meh.
99cent shave kit
Transformers laptop topper
rule with shape stencils
Fukobukuro bag!
