forum suggestion
6I don't usually make suggestions as others are much better at these logistics than I am but I would LOVE to be able to return to the forum main page from the bottom of a thread. All that scrolling is unnecessarily taxing on my middle finger. I try to save that finger for more important things.

In Windows: Ctrl-Home
In iOS tap the top edge of the screen
Don't use System X (Command-Up Arrow?) or Android (perhaps Apple patented the tap top feature) frequently enough to recall but surely someone will chime in...
@RedOak Can confirm that Command-Up Arrow instantly scrolls to the very top of the page in OSX.
@RedOak Just plain old Home works for me in Windows.
@luvche21 Yep, good point - I think I learned the habbit of Ctrl-Home because it might be more universal across apps as a way to the abolute top vs the page top. Will have to test that going forward...
@RedOak @jose602 Home should work on OS X as well. If you're on a small (laptop or wireless) Apple keyboard, Fn-left is Home.
I think you can right click your mouse in the scroll bar and you may see options like Scroll to here, Scroll to top, and Scroll to bottom.
@cengland0 No. I mean, this is a workaround that works, but it's not the solution.
I tried scrolling with my middle finger like you said you do, but it felt weird.
@luvche21 really? I thought that was how everyone used the scroll wheel. I usually just end up clicking and holding and draging it up the the screen through
@RedHot I think the mouse fits my hand funny that way, so I've always done it with my pointer finger. I've never thought about it until you mentioned it.
@luvche21 I do have a larger than normal mouse with about 17 buttons on it so I probably use mine funny, I may not be the best person to judge whats normal
@RedHot Assign one of those buttons to 'Home'! :)
@brhfl Thats a good idea, unfortunately they are all already assigned to be used in microstation.
@luvche21 @RedHot I have a regular small 2-button freebie-with-pc mouse and I too use my middle finger to scroll.
@Bingo @RedHot Maybe this should be a forum question. I can't be the only one that uses my pointer finger to scroll, right?
@luvche21 I do too. Tried w/ my middle finger after reading this thread, think I may have sprained something.
@luvche21 I think you're in the majority.
@brhfl I think it's because my middle finger sticks up too far above my others (not abnormally or anything)
@luvche21 Think I'm just so used to holding it a certain way (middle finger squarely on right button) that even moving it into that position just feels all kinds of wrong.
@brhfl And there's another way to do it -- the way I tried it was pointer on the left, middle on the wheel, and ring on the right. That felt all sorts of wrong as well.
@brhfl I have to turn my hand counter clockwise (right handed) to be able to use the thumb buttons on the side of the mouse so my pointer, middle, and ring fingers have space to line up across the mouse. I use the Naga Epic (refurb from woot) http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-naga-epic I've bought one back up and might need a new one soon.
@RedHot Mmm, yes, if I rotate the whole mouse under my hand to what I assume your position is like, it all falls into place pretty well. I still don't want to do it, but at least now I believe you are human ;)
