I have five different lights within reach, right this moment. My favorite (from back in the days of raised floors) are similar in shape to today's offering. Flat lights are handy, because you can just set them somewhere while you're working. I have at least six flashlights, including a small one in my purse. There's LED lights scattered here and there, and a couple of genuine penlights. They all easily total more than 20.
It's pretty cool that these take AAA batteries. I hate those little circle batteries. Man, I am really tempted on this...
i'm ashamed... I found tmart.com, and have (according to my history) 39 damned flashlights, though most went out as gifts. My favorite is a 15k lumen, 9xT6 cree emitter flashlight that I can bbq a chicken with. I buy 18650 batteries by the dozen.
Flashlights; one is none. Two is one. Three is one with a little redundancy. Four is two. You need twice as many flashlights (or lanterns) as you think you need because some of them won't work, or will be dead, or will have leaked batteries in them when you need them. And you need batteries. I carry two flashlights as EDC, and a spare battery for the bigger one.
I have more than 20 but part of that is a small collection of colored NIB mini-Maglights. I also have (a replacement, the original roasted into powder in the attic) for the very first flashlight I ever bought with my own money from Von Tobels in Las Vegas (below), an HID search lantern and some 700+ lumen handheld 'Dogwalkers' that were useful for making skunks (both the furry and the human kind) keep their distance on our night walks.
Not enough, must keep buying!
Need... moar.... lumens....
How do you make a prom queen's eyes twinkle?
Shine your flashlight in her ear . . .

25 or 6 to 4
@Fej Gotta love a band that has to change it's name when a city threatens to sue them...
@Fej Technically, 25 or 6 to 4 is a measurement of time, not quantity.
Thanks for reminding me
Still need to return the non-working Leatherman subsidiary head lamp I bought here.

I think I need help.
I seem to keep buying flashlights and knives even though I have too many of both.

Most women have a set of headlights. Actually, considering the obesity crisis in the United States, a fair amount of men do too.
Thanks to the ones you get free with any purchase at Harbor Freight I have dozens -- but I am still tempted by today's offering... Damn you meh!
If fauxtons count, the full count is probably in the triple digits.
