It’s Food Bank Hell Week… Errr… Food drive season. I wish we had one last pasta drop, for old time’s sake. I loved receiving it at home and then driving it to the Food Bank.
I took my last 20 pounds of pasta to the Salvy Warming station. Now that they are starting to serve hot meals instead of sandwich boxes hopefully it will come in handy.
Hehe - thought I was the only one crazy enough to miss PastaDrop. I keep hoping that the buying department runs into another few tons of pasta for another Drop cycle.
…or alternately that Meh will put up 20 lbs boxes of Penne or so up for sale again. The family agreed that the pasta was seriously tasty, and my local food bank loved it, as well.
I get why they did it. It was the start of Covid and tons of restaurants were shutting down. I don’t know if we will see that perfect storm of a supplier needing to offload a few tons of dried goods again.
Given the supply chain issues, I’m not sure that meh would have the opportunity to buy a crap-ton of anything and give us something like a pasta drop in the near future.
Now, the very slim, I mean cat whisker slim chance of this whole pandemic thing going away anytime soon, there might be a mask drop or hand sanitizer drop or whatever supplies you needed to work from home drop. But they have already offered up a crap ton of masks and sanitizer but I don’t think anyone bought much of it.

There will be opportunities to get rid of containers and tons of stuff that was seasonal or buyers are just walking away from to stop the bleeding after being sucked dry from predatory storage fees and delivery delays.
They gonna sell bulk trousers this time.
Bring on PantsDrop!
