Glad to see Tails is leading the pack. I write stories and stuff for Sega, so that fox being in the general public consciousness is to my personal benefit.
Mini Me to Dr. Evil, Garth to Wayne in Wayne’s World, Donkey to Shrek, Goose to Maverick, Tonto (&Silver) to Lone Ranger, Cookie to Roy Rogers, Dory to Nemo, Spock to Kirk, Short Round to Indiana Jones, Robin to Batman, Patrick to SpongeBob, Maureen O’Hara to John Wayne, Gilligan to Skipper, Igor to Frankenstein, Lenny and Squiggy to Laverne and Shirley, Ron and Harmione to Harry Potter and for @fOOl Sam to Frodo.
@WTFsunshine nice list, i’d argue it was Skipper to Gilligan, but either way it’s good.
Also Cronk to Izma.
I voted Marcie because even as a kid i always wanted to see more of her. I find that crazy i was looking for character development from a 4-10 panel cartoon as a 10 yr old, but I really did. And Schroeder: what did he do when not practicing piano, my inquiring mind wanted to know.
@mollama That’s not crazy. I remember when cartoons were only on Saturday morning and comics were all we had left after that. If we didn’t learn things from our friends (regardless if the info was correct or not) we had to find it somewhere.

Better still, cartoons were all that were on Saturday morning! By about 11am Saturday morning it was all over, except the anticipation of getting my hands on the Sunday morning paper so I could be the first to read the color comics section.
Harpo Marx. Enkidu. Yondu. Funny I can’t name that many as I spend a lot of books and movies wishing the leads would quit hogging the stage and let the more interesting side characters get some time in the limelight.
Luigi to Mario, of course. That poor man is always getting shoved out of the way, in favor of the more portly plumber.
Oh, and because they are both awesome parts of my childhood, and still some of my most favorite characters of all time: Balto and Boris! Such lovable guys from an awesome (mostly true) story.
Pinky!
Harvey Korman and Tim Conway to Carol Burnett
@katbyter Tim to Harvey, Harvey to Carol.
Boo-Boo Bear, sidekick to Yogi Bear
OMG! They killed Kenny!
@f00l One can never get enough South Park.

@mollama Son of a biscuit, how did I not mention the Kronk/Yzma dynamic? It’s only like the greatest cinematic masterpiece of all time!

We are going back in time now, aren’t we?
How 'bout this?
Bullwinkle
I never really saw Bullwinkle as a SIDEKICK, he just got second billing. Like Sonny and Cher or Sanford and Son.
Margaret Dumont
Barney Rubble
I have always loved Marvin the Martian and K9.

Dr. Watson to Sherlock Holmes.
Dr Watson wasn’t really UNDER APPRECIATED, though - otherwise, I’d say 99.
Ford Prefect (Arthur Dent)
Arthur Dent (Ford Prefect)

i chose marcie - to this day my sister and i (23 & 33) still call each other “sir” because of her.
but since someone already said number 21, i’m going to also have to throw in zorak. (space ghost.)
Luigi to Mario, of course. That poor man is always getting shoved out of the way, in favor of the more portly plumber.

@matthew to Glen.
Who is whose “SIDEKICK”
@matthew - You must admit, the series is named for Glen. We could go with “henchperson” if it makes you feel better.
I don’t really care, honestly
But when I told my wife the question she said
