@Thumperchick actually, there’s a separate song called Space Cowboy, but ‘Maurice’ (wah-wow) is in the Joker which also makes reference to the Space Cowboy.
Wild Mountain Honey, mostly because I first heard it in an, er, altered state and it burned into some corner of my brain. Let’s just say the visuals we’re stunning.
@macromeh That’s a good tune that I’d nearly forgotten about. Fly Like An Eagle was one of my first records. Not including the intro, that was the first song of theirs I’d heard that wasn’t one of the singles.
@rschauer I can’t listen to the song Fly Like An Eagle without thinking of Art. Art was a kid that I worked with in high school who was convinced he was going to be a pro musician. I can still hear him singing along with the radio in his best falsetto on the chorus: “Doot Doot Doo Doo”. Last I heard, Art worked customer assistance for the phone company.
No Abracadabra?
@togle Damn it, your comment was hidden (I made a similar one lol). Hey Meh: this appears to be the top comment; why was it hidden by default?
Space Cowboy?
@Ghostwheel That’s the “Maurice” reference.
@Ghostwheel that song is The Joker.

Why is the poll about Steve Miller Band?
@RiotDemon Thank you
@RiotDemon have you read tonight’s write-up?
@Thumperchick yes?
@RiotDemon
Bundle Love, It’s Driving Me Mad
It’s making me crazy…
@Thumperchick “Puns happen because bad people exploit security flaws in language.” Howard Tayler
@Thumperchick no idea.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
/youtube jungle love steve miller
@2many2no it’s at 0:43
@2many2no Good song, except that inexplicable whistley part.
@PocketBrain It’s the song referenced in the write-up title.
True Fine Love
Why is today’s poll about Steve Miller Band? I read the write up—still don’t get it.
@pgathens I see what you’re tryna do.
Like Space Cowboy, but Take the Money and Run won.
I go back with Steve Miller a little further than you guys. My favorite song of his is either “Livin’ in the USA” or “Brave New World.”
I can’t pick a fav Steve Miller. I like 'em all. Almost.
I think some people call it “Maurice” almost got my vote for laughs, but “Fly Like an Eagle” is really my favorite.
@blaineg Got mine. Who can’t appreciate the fact that probably 70% or more of the population would probably say just that?
I work with Steve Miller. No, not THAT Steve Miller.
I wonder how quickly he got tired of all the “clever” Steve Miller jokes?
@blaineg How many did you tell?
That synth solo on “Fly Like an Eagle” is pretty badass
@sanspoint Still prefer this version of that song.

i’m not going to ask about the poll, i just didn’t want to pick any of those songs and still wanted to vote.
No love for “Abracadabra?”
