A Quattro espresso made from Koffee Kult beans, extracted from my Jura Super Automatic, goes either straight into my gullet or, it is added to regular brewed coffee, otherwise known as a “Red Eye.”
Espresso is made from burned coffee beans. It actually has LESS caffeine than regular American roasts (they go American Light, American Medium, French Roast, Vienna Roast, Italian Roast and Espresso. The more the beans are burned, the more caffeine is released and destroyed. Anything French Roast and beyond is burned coffee, with no original coffee flavor. That’s why Starbucks etc cover up the flavor with milk and sugars. And why triple shots have about the same amount of caffeine as a single cup of Folgers.

not necessarily true in a good 3rd wave coffee house. They do the high roasted (rarely burnt) blends, but many of them will also pull shots from a medium roast single origin coffee.
I had my god cup. It was at Barefoot in San Jose (service was horrible, could have drunk the coffee forever). It was a light-medium SO Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

Espresso is just too rich of a drink for the Meh regulalars. No survey needed to know that.
Inside a cup of regular coffee. Coffee shops call it a “Red-eye”, I call it “Turbo Boost”.
