Does anyone know the width of the TV? I need to get one for my office, but needs to fit on a shelf... my tape measure is in my garage... and I'm lazy. I'll meh-sure it tomorrow!
EDIT: Emeh-rson TV is 35.90" wide. Still looking for the other
I got one of those cheap emersons at walmart, and it had a quick response with the on screen gui(including channel changing). Not the best but definitely not the worst... It's just meh!
So do you get your choice or is it a decision made by the guy in the shipping department? "Hey Sully..who gets the Mehgnavox and who gets the EMeherson? Meh, it don't matter, flip a coin..."
Got mine and hooked it up today. This is what I got:
I can't believe you would call this crap "refurbished". I've already contacted support and it sure as heck better go smoothly or I will never be coming back to this site.
It doesn't look to me like it would have been damaged in shipping. The TV box had no signs of damage, and there was a substantial amount of padding between the inside of the box and the TV that was also undamaged. There is a huge bend in the TV frame, and any impact that would do that to the TV would cause a lot of damage to the box as well. Maybe I'm crazy, but it really just looks like shitty quality control that somehow didn't spot a hairline crack and a bent frame and just called it OK to ship. In any case, I will update my post as the story develops. Hopefully my first encounter with meh.com customer support is a satisfying one.
I got mine and it was packaged very well. It's been hooked up ever since and so far it's pretty kick ass! My PS3 runs perfectly on it even though it's 60hz. Great picture, great price! It's meh.. I WILL definitely buy another one if it goes on sale again.
@allegra26 You can hope to get lucky that they'll decide to sell them again. Meh sells one item (or two of that one item on Two-fer Tuesdays) per day. Once that sale is over you can't order the item any longer.

I was interested at first but upon second review of the pics, I noticed that this set looks buggy.
I thought it looked like a television, but who am I...

Looks like the Magnavox is the same: 35.900"
They are the same size. You can assume that the Magnavox is around the same width.
I think dimensions of the TV's are the same between the two but the Emerson's remote is smaller so it'll fit better on the shelf.
On the shelf!? What the hell good would a remote be if I had to get up to use it? On my desk. That's where it stays. I'm teaching the wife.
Nah you won't even use this pos TV, keep the remote on the shelf next to it...or hell keep it all in the box much tidier.

square trade warranty option?
The main page says it best:
Eh, my main TV is 32" (it cost me $800 in 2008!), so this would be an upgrade in size.
Yeah, my apartment's around 1,200 square feet, but the jerks who built it in '23 didn't leave 39 linear inches anywhere useful.
I think I'd want one for my Bedroom, but then again... Meh. I wouldn't be offended if I got this in a Fukubukuro, though.
Absolutely not. NO. Meh!!!
I can't parse this emotion... How can "meh" have exclamation points?
EXTREME indifference @katylava?
Emerson or Magnavox? I'm not familiar with either brand. Which is better?
They're both good. I believe Emerson's more widely known.
Sony.
Oh sorry, better of those 2 brands? They are the same TV with different names on the front, both are assembled by Funai of Japan I believe.
Thank you!
Sorny.
Ignorant is right on - Funai through and through.
You must not have seen the movie "Diner".
Go with the Magnavox. Emerson believes everything should be experienced directly from nature, probably not TV.
where do you hook this weird TV? I've never seen this meh
~size before. Price is good anyway.Where do you hook it? Like hook it to a belt loop with a carabiner? The documentation doesn't say, but I wouldn't use this like that.
I prefer the corner of Main and 3rd, myself. I find I get the best action there.
60Hz refresh rate - no thanks!
I agree. Considering DVD's and Bluray are at 30 fps, 60hz is not sufficient. (2:3 pulldown to display film 24fps to 30fps) /end sarcasm
I said Meh! But I think this is a good deal. Not gonna lie.
Meh. Not a bad deal at all.
iz 2 small so meh
its how you use it... or thats what i hear people say all the time.
@johnt
So do you get your choice or is it a decision made by the guy in the shipping department? "Hey Sully..who gets the Mehgnavox and who gets the EMeherson? Meh, it don't matter, flip a coin..."
You can pick, as long as we still have both.
Might get one of these to use as a monitor on a macintosh that I have laying around.
Would that make it a Mehcitnosh?
It absolutely would make it that, in all aspects.
Actually, if you are using it as a display, you would be FAR better off getting a 4K TV...
In the specs you should include that you can pipe RGB into it. (Had to look at the picture to see that..)
That is rad.
Sorny! Magnetbox! Look at all these great brands!
I gave up my plan to refurbish my dumpster condo after seeing this offer... oh meh,
My first buy! Got one for my parents and one for my living room! Hope they are good quality, considering they are refurbished!
three exclamation points and the word 'hope'. you have so much to learn.

Ouch. That looks like the screen was damaged in shipping.
They're heeereee. Maybe you just need to bring in a little old lady to help.
It looks like an X-ray machine. Cool.
You are not the only one: https://meh.com/forum/topics/what-are-steps-to-return-defective-merchandise
Welcome. It's a broken TV. Nothing to beat your kids over. email support. Flies, sugar, honey, vinegar, etc.
I know the feeling.....Biff

Ugh, that's too bad. Mine came and is setup in the bedroom with a Roku and I'm actually very impressed. The TV looks and works great.
^ Way to rub it in.

Died after a few months, waste of money!!!
@LeeChild It’s been 25 months since it was sold. Reacher may have been a little rough on it when you weren’t looking.
