Congrats, Meh, several days in a row of “OMG what is that? Seriously?”
… and then you think “maybe that’s kind-of cool I might order.” But the doorstop thing, that was just weird.
@katbyter Entirely the wrong aspect ratio. you’d have to set up the tower with only two blocks in each direction, and then it would fall down after the first one was removed, every time.
@PooltoyWolf Rober’s Crunch Labs has a kit for that. I don’t know if these particular dominoes are exactly the right size to work with it, but if you really want to know, I think you can find out.
@PooltoyWolf@werehatrack My kid has one of these, though I don’t remember if it’s specifically crunch-lab brand. It was a fun kit, and it’s pretty cool.
It only holds about ten or twenty dominoes, though, so it’s not really a useful tool for setting up a long run.
@pmarin I didn’t really think about what 1100 of these would look like. This is a LOT of dominos. Think slightly shorter than a shoe box in height, a bit longer in length, and just as wide.

If I had the floor space I would grab some of these.

Are the dots invisible? How do you know if someone’s cheating?

/image playing dominos
@stinks Reminds me of the crap shooter from Guys and Dolls who used his own dice, from which he’d had the spots removed “for luck”.
But he played just fine, explaining that “I remember where the spots formerly were.”
You know, I think I’m gonna grab some of these just because having colored wooden tiles around could be useful for all kinds of stuff.
Are you selling Pussy Galore on Sidedeal?

@OnionSoup Goldfinger?

Perfect for being a start of a RGM?
Oh, these are awfully tempting! Even just as little brightly colored pieces of wood, even if I never use them as intended …
think about all the dots you’ll have to buy, though.
@omally But at least you can get tubes full of dots. That is how Sharpie has stayed in business.
These are just Jenga pieces of they have no dots.
@katbyter Entirely the wrong aspect ratio. you’d have to set up the tower with only two blocks in each direction, and then it would fall down after the first one was removed, every time.
@agnesnutter probably still more fun than trying to play dominoes with no dots.
I suppose these would be good for those people who set up the lines and knock them over. But they’re probably the wrong dimensions for that too.
You can arrange them in a large rectangle, then paint a picture on It, and have your own custom 1100-piece picture puzzle.
Isn’t this this called mulch?
@scilynt Pretty mulch
This would be fantastic if it had a Domino Train-esque machine to set them all up for you.
@PooltoyWolf You could always build your own train. I suspect you may already have some of the parts.
@PooltoyWolf Just play the videos in reverse…
@PooltoyWolf we had one of those once. It was meh. Underwhelming.

@yakkoTDI If I built one, the dominoes would be the size of automobiles…
@PooltoyWolf I will await the videos you upload.
@PooltoyWolf Are we in danger of finding out that your actual name is Bergholt Stuttley Johnson?
@werehatrack Hm?
@PooltoyWolf Discworld reference. B.S. Johnson was infamous for misreading dimensions, leading to some absurdly large and tiny results.
@werehatrack Ah, I know the name Discworld but in name only!
Can I use these as door stops?

I ship Paul and Gerald
I gotta say when I think Domino’s I think more cardboard than wood
@lehigh Hmm, to me Domino is more associated with wood.

These will be dual use. My grandson will love them, and I get sweet revenge on my son for all his Legos I stepped on.
@Springbank These look less painful than Lego, so maybe not quite as cruel.

That 75mm length translates to just over 1 3/4".
@romellex the 45 mm length
Oops! Thanks for the correction. …

No Dots? No Sale.
Don’t be a victim, demand your dots!
@jo2y Sharpie sells tubes full of dots.
Okay, who’s the one that bought 5,500 dominoes and what are you gonna do with them? LOL
@PooltoyWolf If it’s a domino toppling event I went to see the video!
