I can think of a couple of ways that aren’t CGI, but both of them require some significant set building. The difference is mostly a matter of whether to build at full scale or use a miniature with forced perspective. If you have the props, full scale would be easier. It’s a lot of work for a short gag, but if you’re trying to sell your abilities, it might be worth the effort.
@PooltoyWolf@werehatrack I’ve been watching Captain Disallusion on youtube so I can play the role of VFX expert. He filmed in front of a green screen and ‘fell’ mostly straight down. He was rotated in post. The rest of the scene was probably made in blender. The gravity doesn’t seem quite right if you focus on the objects moving around the room. But I’m still impressed.
@fibrs86@PooltoyWolf I think your explanation is more plausible, having looked more closely at how some of the stuff in the background fell, didn’t slide, or bounced.
Tsk. Tsk. It wasn’t a full laundry load.
I made the same mistake.
That was brilliant and I’m wondering how they made it.
@PooltoyWolf
Sure as heck was! And I’m curious to know how it was made too.
