I voted no, cause I’m going to anyway. Mainly because I already bought the 7 since my 5 finally bit the dust. I rarely if ever used the damn headphones anyway!
Got a 6s+ already. Will probably get an 8 or 8s in 2 or 3 years. No shits to give about the headphone jack - I use Bluetooth with the phone or my Apple Watch, or lightning to CarPlay in the car.
@spitfire6006006 yes but it seems like this sale was set to go months ago (before the iPhone 7 came out) and got delayed but the poll was never updated. No option for already have an iPhone without the headphone jack.
@thepaulpage Not really. Android is open source. Here’s the source code: https://github.com/android Read up on iMessage for example. Apple is one of the few companies that seems to take customer privacy seriously. See also, San Bernardino iPhone / FBI. Apple is a hardware company. Google is an advertising and information company. Apple has many faults, but personal info and privacy is one area where they surpass the competition in large measure.
[RANT]My complaints are strongly geared towards the complete lack of innovation in the post-Jobs era. I can’t call the lack of a headphone jack innovation, and I’m amazed at their other weak product launches (e.g. I was ready to buy a new MacBook Pro, then they released a non-pro media consumption device with an outdated CPU/GPU )[/RANT]
I use a Tracfone. I don’t need all that crap on a smartphone. I have a couple of cheap-ass Chinese audio players that take Micro SD cards if the 8GB inside fill up. They play FLAC files too. And I have several good cameras and a $29 refurb Kindle Fire. I also have a real life and don’t text.
I use Bluetooth 95% of the time, but would want the option of a jack for those few times I need to go wired (like when the Bluetooth needs a recharge in the middle of the day because I forgot to overnight)
I’ve got an iPhone 4s; someday I’ll get another hand-me-down, but it may be years before I care about the headphone jack. Hey, I already use a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter so it won’t be much different.
I have never bought an iPhone, but have several. My daughter and mom usually give me theirs when they get the new one. I have used Bluetooth earphones for years, so that isn’t a consideration. Plus, I’d never spend the money on an iPhone that can be spent on Jeep parts or backpacking/rock climbing gear.
I still have 2palm os devices in a drawer somewhere. I did like them at the time. I held out for a pre.
When I finally got one, it ran so slowly, and had so many limitations on stuff that old palms is did well (cut,copy,paste) that i returned it to the store and bought an iPhone instead. Then android.
The os on the pre was a beautiful os. Had the pre run faster, I prob would have kept it.
@f00l I’ve got a Palm Treo and a Palm Pre Plus in a drawer somewhere. I even have a Touchpad, that tablet that HP killed days after launch. I see WebOS is on some smart televisions, so at least it’s living on in some way.
@communist Ironically, a few Android phones omitted the headphone jack long before Apple did.

This poll seems a bit dated.
@Ignorant it’s relevant to the sale, though
@spitfire6006006 yes but it seems like this sale was set to go months ago (before the iPhone 7 came out) and got delayed but the poll was never updated. No option for already have an iPhone without the headphone jack.
@Ignorant I refuse to believe they plan that far ahead.
Fuck Apple.
@Mehsturbator i agree strongly with you!
@Mehsturbator Yep.
@Mehsturbator we’re sorry that you can’t afford an iphone.
@ThatsHeadly Oh I could. I bought three phones over the span of a year, the cost isn’t the issue. The issue is Apple.
@Mehsturbator Far enough. I prefer Apple’s expensive, closed ecosystem to Google’s “suck up all my personal info” ecosystem.
@ThatsHeadly they’re both closed and they both suck up personal info.

@Mehsturbator Much agreed.

The next Samsung won’t have headphone jack, better get used to it. That is if it doesn’t blowup first
@natedogg
Never buy new phones anyway; it will be years before this affects us

@radi0j0hn not this one, I guess http://www.target.com/p/tracfone-iphone-5s-16gb-space-gray/-/A-51169070

@mollama Have 2 or 3 pair. That’s what I do.
Where is the option that I already have it???
I’ve got an iPhone 4s; someday I’ll get another hand-me-down, but it may be years before I care about the headphone jack. Hey, I already use a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter so it won’t be much different.
Why would it?
I haven’t used wired headphones/earbuds in years. That is what bluetooth is for.

Just buy an Android phone. Dropping the headphone jack is extremely anti-consumer. That goes for the Moto Z as well.
Any WebOS junkies? Man, I miss my Palm.
@Omehgawd oh gahd i remember having the palm pixi and being so exited that it had wireless charging available
@Omehgawd Probabaly fewer than even WP users here.
@narfcake I went to WP after my Palm died. Moved to Android not long after.
@communist YES! I still have my charging thingamajig. Hm…I wonder if my Galaxy S7 will charge with it?
@Omehgawd
