So this is basically voluntary crowdsourced audio surveillance.
Because the NSA, Google, Apple, and the telecom voice learning systems aren’t accessible and are proprietary - even if it’s your voice surveillance data they’re collecting and storing indefinitely for any purpose they choose.
I’ve been using the Brave Browser for the last couple weeks… I feel extra secure and its actually much faster than any of the other main ones (IE, Chrome, Firefox)
I uploaded a few and listened to a few. I wonder what people think when they hear my voice. A few I listened to has such a thick accent they were tough to say if they were correct or not.
There’s an app I volunteer for that helps assist the blind. A blind person uploads a photo or several that their phone’s software can’t tell them what it is and they will ask questions. I keep getting one lady that asks what flavor kcups she’s put out so she knows what she wants to drink.
Last night I got to describe a nathanwpyle cartoon to someone. I hope I helped.
Interesting.

A noble idea, but I’m going to pass.
I don’t know. Do you use Microsoft? Or Electronic Arts? Or Epic?
Less snarky: No. This is the first I’ve heard of this project. I think it’s kind of cool, but do not wish to be part of the dataset.
The NSA isn’t listening to me, but I’m paranoid about others.
@Limewater
