Do you live in a market with MeTV? Do you like Dr. Seuss? Do you like Hans Conried?
11If these three questions are answered with YES, but you don’t already watch Svengoolie, then you don’t know that Svengoolie is showing The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T tomorrow night at 7pm central on your local MeTV affiliate.

I myself am very excited about this.

I saw that movie once, but I’m pretty sure I was hallucinating.
Love the hats. Where can I get one?
@rtjhnstn Not gonna lie: you might have to make one.
@rtjhnstn There is a story that one boy ate a bad hot-dog for lunch. Moments later he threw it up onto the “piano”. A few minutes later all of the other 159 boys became sick.
MeTV is the channel I don’t get over the air because, according to the dude at BestBuy, their antenna is crap. I’ll go watch Comet instead.
@sammydog01 And for me, that channel with the crap antenna is… Comet. The TV listings are a constant torment.
I am intrigued. DVR set.
Well, crap. My MeTV provider is preempting the regular programming to show high school basketball during that time slot.
@DrWorm WHAT THE HELL?!
@mossygreen
Was finally shoveling a little while ago.
Watching The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T now.
It’s starting now. Lassie saves him, right?
*Spoiler alert
@kdemo
Movies was showing “Foul Play” opposite of “The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T”. “Foul Play” won out.
@rtjhnstn You know? I can’t argue with that.
Wait, that’s the one where Dudley Moore has a weird sex dungeon/train car, right?
@rtjhnstn “Foul Play” is in my Top Ten of Favorite Movies. I saw it with my folks as a teenager, older teenager. Going to the Saturday Matinee was one of the last rituals we had before I done and went and moved out.
@mossygreen And the two old ladies playing scrabble.
My MeTV channel is SD. Crappy SD.
Luckily I already own this film on Blu-ray. It’s still in 4:3 aspect ratio, but this picture is a little clearer. And it was under $10.
@craigthom Probably not edited for time, too! Still, I’m just happy Svengoolie is showing it and getting it out there.
@craigthom that SD sub-channel thing is a scourge countering the wonderfulness of up to 5 sub-channels. However, we still watch them, thisTV and movies! being two other popular sub-channels for us.
Meh. If I wanted to watch a kid named Bart repeatedly outsmart a snotty Dr. Terwilliger, there are plenty of Sideshow Bob episodes of the Simpsons to watch.
@onigame Where do you think Matt Groening got the idea for Bart?
Wow. Not as trippy as some Sid & Marty Krofft stuff, but still earns a “wow” from me.
I have to say, though, I did feel like I was in a Seuss book.
@pitamuffin Seriously, at times I was thinking, "this is more avant-garde than The Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome. Of course, I have never actually finished watching that particular movie.
But the guys on roller skates with cojoined beards? More Seussian than anything else in the world.
Our market has love boat reruns all nite.
@cranky1950 Score!
@cranky1950 @sammydog01 Which era? Because I’m all about the Shelley Long is a brunette/Ron Pallilo is an irresistable sex machine episodes, less about Andy Warhol is there for some reason/Teri Hatcher is a scatterbrained showgirl episodes.
@cranky1950 @mossygreen Anything with Gopher.
@cranky1950 @sammydog01 Gopher! I was so excited when Fred Grandy showed up on New Girl.
Luv MeTV…Especially Hogan’s Hero’s
