Hooray!
/giphy hooray
@RiotDemon I saw this movie and was actually jealous of the lavish lifestyle that was portrayed, until it all came crumbling down.
@growyoungagain
Ok whut muvie?
@f00l The Wolf of Wall Street. Based on a true story.
@growyoungagain
On my list. Should have recognized Leo.
@growyoungagain I was not jealous. They all annoyed me with their arrogance.
I did however have a crush on Leo way back when, and a little bit as an adult… So I didn’t have a problem watching all the “certain” scenes with him in it.
@RiotDemon
Not hard to think in crush terms re Leo.
@RiotDemon Jealous I guess really isn’t the best choice of words, because it was a pretty raunchy movie. I just wan’t the money.
@growyoungagain

@f00l This was before my time, but somehow I knew the song. Is this from the “King and I”? My mom liked that movie. Thanks!!
@growyoungagain
It is from the film of The King And I.
Deborah Kerr is the female lead in the dress with the enormous skirt. The singing was done by the incomparable Marni Nixon, overdubbed.
(She did the singing for the female songs in this film, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, and was actually on-screen for once briefly as a nun in The Sound Of Music.)
She was quite nice looking also. She wasn’t a star or name actress so never got cast to do both singing and acting in a lead role. The studios always wanted a big name on the marquee.
You can find Ms Nixon singing on YouTube. Well worth the listening.
You need to reach 25 years for a silver anniversary. I think one year is the speaker dock anniversary.
