Difference between can't and don't want
5So I moved and wanted to place an order. Get to the final steps and click the button to order and get:
"OOPS, SORRY. WE CAN'T SHIP TO HI."
Anyone in the US can ship to Hawaii, its just a decision I'd you want to or not.
So why not be honest and change it to:
"OOPS, SORRY. WE DON'T WANT TO SHIP TO HI."
Most other sites say they don't ship to HI and AK, not can't.

Technically they can't if someone above them in the foodchain told them they couldn't. Whomever made that decision, is the one that "won't".
Can you get a drone to deliver them? That would be meta.

What if they can't vis a vis smart post limitations?
You can get it shipped to Hawaii. Have it shipped to either a mail forwarding service or a friend that will reship it to you.
Cheer up sucker. You live in Hawaii now.
So what I'm hearing is you don't want to live somewhere where meh ships.

Anyway, despite having an interstate, Hawaii is an island, which means the cheapest way of shipping via ground isn't possible -- and in order to be as cost effective as it is, Smartpost needs that ground. Likewise, after handing off to USPS for final delivery, they too rely on ground transportation to be cost effective.
Start lobbying for the Ohio Iowa Idaho Hawaii Highway.
@stienman well, with the exception of HI, that would be US 30.
30 Runs From Atlantic City, NJ, to Astoria OR.
Runs within a couple Miles of My House here in NW Ohio, and my Uncle's House in S Idaho.
In many Places it follows/shadows the old Lincoln Highway, which Runs from Times Square in NY, through the Lincoln Tunnel (ever wondered how that tunnel got it's name?) all the way to Lincoln Park in San Francisco .

@Saffer49 A surfer chick checks out the snow on Hawaii's Big Island. They regularly see temperatures below freezing during the winter and snowfall is not uncommon. In fact, the Big Island often boasts the rare opportunity to both ski and surf in the same day.
@Mehrocco_Mole I didn't say it doesn't get cold in Hawaii, I said cold sucks.
