Deals [UNOFFICIAL]
6Been a while since we posted deals we’ve found on other sites.
I just got a solar “generator” from FFPower that so far is testing out. It’s LiFePO4 and rated at 2048Wh.
Overpriced “regular” price of $2200. Sale price $800. Not sure how long the sale is going but seems a pretty decent price, especially since tax and shipping are included. Got mine from CA in a little over a week.
Also got a 400W solar panel for $600. Haven’t tried it yet.
Charged it up and am now discharging with a 200W light. 6.5 hrs in and still about 25% left.

I think if someone is going to post a deal, they should also provide a link to make it easier for others to benefit from the same deal.
@cengland0 sorry - meant to do that and forgot.

They have some package deals as well but you need to check the amounts because you can sometimes do better buying the pieces separately.
Update - 8 hrs 37 min.
Per the manual:
2048 Wh
x 90% depth of discharge
x 90% conversion rate of the inverter
÷ 200W load
= 8.3 hrs
Will run again tomorrow. Maybe I’ll test the panel
@ybmuG Sound like that would be able to keep a typical already-cold freezer powered up for an entire day or night, which would provide a way to maintain freezer or fridge temps overnight for those who prefer to shut down the generator during sleep hours when a multi-day outage is expected. That’s a very useful capability indeed.
@werehatrack that was my idea. It will charge and discharge simultaneously, so if you charge with a gas generator and/or solar during the day you can leave stuff plugged in.
The other thing I like is you can connect up to another 7 2048Wh expansion batteries to get to a total of over 16KWh.
@werehatrack @ybmuG 2kw should power a modern fridge for close to a day and a half.
As for the brand, I actually had some prior experience with them … which was one of the diverting discussion from this post onwards.
(FWIW, I’m using the resulting 500w unit to power my desktop. It’s recharged through a free 195w solar panel that was shattered but still puts out 70w, so all in all, it costs me $0 to run my desktop computer + occasionally some small appliances.)
@narfcake @werehatrack interesting experience you had. Glad you got something decent out of it all.
@werehatrack @ybmuG Yep. Although it wasn’t the intended outcome, they did step above and beyond what I expected.
Also I’m not sure where that dust cover I received went.
