Blend in a cup, puree in a pot, mix in a pitcher. Just add your ingredients and dip in! A hand-blender is the best thing that ever happened to blend. The stainless steel blending shaft gets down and dirty, then cleans up in a flash in the dishwasher. Crazy about creamy soups? Salivate over salad dressings? Passionate about your protein shakes? With 200 watts of power available with the touch of a button and a Tasty™ recipe book with more ideas if you run out, this is a blender you’re going to spend a lot of quality time with!
I’m debating between this one and the one on side deal. The difference being that this one is (probably) corded and the other one is a rechargable. I know I won’t use it often enough to leave it sitting out and/or charging… So do I want this one that I can plug in and just blend rather than waiting for a charge on the other one, but having to find the bit of extra space for yet another cord?
@Kyeh yeah, but I’d rather pay for the features I want - I’ve done enough “buy it just to get through” purchases in my life.
The one on sidedeal has more speeds too (I think 5 and this one only has 2).
I ended up going with the corded one mainly because I don’t want to wait for a charge, even if there are fewer speeds, and despite the quick-charge feature on the other one.

Handy Johnson sounds like the name of an especially pathetic porn character.
@joelmw, That’s What She Said!!
The hand blender is tasty? What does it taste like?
@ciabelle, it taste like liquid Stainless Steel which is kinda bitter & not as sweet as Gold, or Sterling Silver!

The difference also being $56.00…

Every photo of this thing in the wild doesn’t show a cord - but it’s definitely corded according to users on Amazon
@mbersiam I was having the exact same internal debate!
@mbersiam It looks like the one on SideDeal is actually not a deal…Amazon has it for $99: https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CSB-400CD-Cordless-Rechargeable-SmartStick/dp/B07H87JJFM/
@TimW with 20% off it’s only $80 on sidedeal
@mbersiam ah yes…forgot about the MEHRATHON code for today! Thanks for the reminder…I need to check SideDeal for other deals now.

I’m gonna have to look at both reviews
@Star2236 Amazon has the cordless one for $99, so not much of a deal over on SideDeal: https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CSB-400CD-Cordless-Rechargeable-SmartStick/dp/B07H87JJFM/
Does anyone know what the blade guard is made of? I’m wondering if this is safe to use with non-stick pans?
@gatwood One of the questions on the Amazon page has this answer:
