@denboy I thought that was a given… as in you will never run out of speaker docs (despite your comment in the write up). Besides if you stopped carrying speaker docs then what would we complain about? :)
@narfcake Agreed, but I've been trying to force myself not to buy anything i think is Meh. So instead I convinced self certain things aren't meh and buy them instead:) The other option is a speaker set that doesn't have bluetooth but has 5000 reviews and is almost 5 star for $40 on Amazon, Cyber Acoustics Subwoofer Satellite System (CA-3602a).Decisions decisions...
@cbaker And VMP makes it even easier to do that..... First it's Meh, then seeing the cost free shipping all of the sudden turns into a buy:) Evil, evil VMP draining my wallet!
@narfcake For half the price I'm in. I want a small sized sub and this one seems to be tiny which will be perfect. If they are crap for $20, oh well I'll buy something nicer.
Amazonians like it. One dood said that the "line in" and the Bluetooth audio sources mix so u can listen through Bluetooth while still getting notifications from your computer hooked up through the "line in". That's kinda cool.
@Cornelius It's pretty straightforward. Refurbished means at one point it was broken or something wrong with it and manufacturer fixed it. As opposed to brand new, which means it's definitely not been identified as broken previously. Of course, that's not to say brand new isn't defective and upon warranty exchange or return it becomes refurbished. Just that with refurbished you know for sure it's been previously defective. mmm'kay? Mr. Mackey out.
@hammi99 Actually, sometimes Refurbished simply means they were returned due to buyers remorse. Maybe they didn't sound as good as someone expected so they returned them. They were sent back, verified to be perfectly fine and repackaged.
1st buy today... What is VMP? Is it too late to add VMP w/o and extra 5 bucks?? WHY not just say "Ok, my fine cash infused friends, you can order more of my crap for the next 30 days for free, since you have fell for our 1st trap"
@IBMgrunt You can add VMP when you buy an item, saving you $5 everytime you purchase something else. Helps if you're going to buy alot, as it's free shipping. If I were you, I'd keep my $5 and buy a Quesarrito.
I bit. I'll probably put it in the shed. We installed an Atlas portable building, 12x20 last fall. It's turned into a party hut. We need another shed to store the stuff that's supposed to be in the shed. But if we get another shed, the guys are talking about getting a pool table for that shed. It never ends.....
So I ordered 2, and something spazzed out. I didn't get a confirmation or anything. Been trying to look up my account for verification. I usually click the email confirmation button but I wasn't able to this time. So what I'm trying to figure out how to access my accoun. if there is even a list of things that I bought. I just noticed it sold out so can somebody check or tell me how to log into my account to see my items or if my order went through.
Hell, its a cheap step up from the speakers/sub setup I've got now. Hope the thing about mixing BT/line in sources is true. I will never have to get up again.
Hey! I got this today. Let me tell you, it's a real piece of shit. The sound quality is about what you'd expect for a shitty cheap set of speakers, and it would be passable for a noise maker in the shed, as planned. but one of the speakers is D.O.A. Now I'm not sure what to do with it. The cost and hassle of sending is almost not worth the $25 I shelled out for it. Any creative suggestions for what I can do with it?
@Stallion I have hooked mine up and they are not that bad but know that I'm coming from a set of regular computer speakers. I wish the the sub had its own adjustable volume level even though I'd always have it on high. Also not sure I like controlling the sound level from a wired controller that will just keep falling off my desk. The sub adds some extra oomph, but not a ton. For $20 I can't complain too much if they work for the long haul.

Meh
Seriously Meh!
@LASig mehtastic
Can it charge my phone? No! Speaker docks fo' life.
@medz that can be arranged
@denboy I thought that was a given… as in you will never run out of speaker docs (despite your comment in the write up). Besides if you stopped carrying speaker docs then what would we complain about? :)
@Kidsandliz Ever heard of force majeure? And sorry, we'll try harder to give you more to complain about.
Pshhh. L and R connected by a cable? Ewww.
This just won't look as good with my uke-playing hulagirl.
If you sprinkle Red Pepper Flakes around this the squirrel will stay out of the subwoofer
I do need some new computer speakers, hmm.....Debating on the Buy or Meh button.
@Stallion Or, you know, go wild and hit both.
@Stallion: It can be meh and still purchasable.
@Stallion I quickly clicked meh but then instantly reconsidered I might be doing both tonight.
@narfcake Agreed, but I've been trying to force myself not to buy anything i think is Meh. @curtise I'm starting to realize this, unfortunately and fortunately:)
@Stallion: $40 gets two sets here. Just something to think about...

Hmm, maybe this would work better than the trap I have sitting out back to catch the chipmunks that are making their home in my gutters.
this is free voltage?
@rahar: On the back pic, input voltage only shows 120v.
Totally MEH for the refurbished. If I needed more speakers, I'd totally pay $28 more for new at amazon.
@hammi99 Let us know when the difference between "new" and factory-tested is more than the color of the cardboard box, mmm'kay?
@Cornelius It's pretty straightforward. Refurbished means at one point it was broken or something wrong with it and manufacturer fixed it. What the hell, I'm in for a set.
Anyone know the length of the cables to and between the satellites?
The Bluetooth pairing button is on the Sub, not the remote. Who thinks to give you a remote and leave the differentiator control off of it?
And when was the last time you read "wired remote?"
Are the satellites in geosynchronous orbit?
@khunjeff Wow!!! That's high than SnoopD...
Bought. As much as I'm trying to vet a meh streak, I feel so dirty buying something after mehing it. Damn you VMP!
1st buy today... What is VMP? Is it too late to add VMP w/o and extra 5 bucks?? WHY not just say "Ok, my fine cash infused friends, you can order more of my crap for the next 30 days for free, since you have fell for our 1st trap"

Good try meh!
Maybe if it had AirPlay.

meh! -- I'm in for a set.
I would get a second set if it came in purple...
@Zebra Would you buy three if it also had a dock?
@Zebra PS watch out - that request they can meet - you buy two, then send two plus a purple magic marker...
Is there a 3.5mm auxiliary input so I can run my iPod (with no Bluetooth) through this thing?
@wdschnick they do (did?) have this. a harder question is whether it can merge the two inputs / output both simultaneously.
that newegg deal @a found is a pretty good alternate source for these, particularly if you don't have VMP.

@Teripie assuming a DIY repair is out of the question, the subwoofer looks like it would make a nice birdhouse.
I got mine. They're not the best speakers I've ever owned. But they're good enough. Perfectly good meh.
Mine showed and one of the legs was shattered, wtf! Still haven't hooked it up, my hopes aren't that high after reading what @Teripie had to say.
@Stallion I emailed the company and now wait for some kind of reply.
