I’m tried pretty much everything I’ve wanted with my hair. I turned my head into a Simon game and didn’t even realize it until a random stranger pointed it out. I was told my hairstyles were “a start on the road to Hell” by my hyper-religious mom, but she didn’t stop me. But I never tried a pompadour. Probably because, if I ever started down that path, I would not rest until I had gone full on Ruby Rhod. Nobody should ever have to see that.
@TheCO2 my mom had a Flowbee when I was a kid. The repeated blows of the vacuum-suction-cutting machine banging into my head as my mother gave me a haircut was a regular occurrence in my childhood.
@capguncowboy I thought I might want one, for about 10 seconds, until I remembered hair was suppose to be different lengths, on different parts of your head.
I don’t think I’ve done anything I didn’t care for except for bald. Been through a lot of stages. I went from flamboyant colors to a perm to just long hair to short hair to bald to whatever.
IDK if I’ll have time or remember, but I’ll see about pulling the other ones in. Never tried or cared to try dreads, I did rock a short mohawk at one time, and totally had a mullet in elementary school. My mom was a hairdresser, so it was all cool with her, and she did all of it for me. Great times, fo sho.
I’ve always either wanted shiny black straight hair, or an afro. I have blondish wavy hair, so neither hairstyles are arriving on my head anytime soon. Sigh.
i love my long hair… i’ve done pixie, perm, bob, asymmetrical, big 80s hair, short practical (for martial arts in the day)… but i’ve never had the guts to shave my head. My 72 year old neighbor has shaved her head a couple times and i’ve always loved how empowering and freeing it looks. Maybe when i’m in my 70s.
I’ve always, always wanted a crazy early '70’s shag cut that would look HIDEOUS on me. Sometimes a longer Klute style cut, sometimes an almost-Pixie Elinor Donahue-as-Miriam-on-The Odd Couple, sometimes a full Suzi Quatro, but I’ve never done it because it none of them would work with my hair and/or face.

I wish I were so handsome that it wouldn’t make a difference what hairstyle I had.
I don’t really fret over such things, but if assume the premise that I am agonizing over my appearance, my face needs a lot more improvement than my hair. ( though both would be deemed substandard)
Pixie cut.

@jsfs BTDT
The Fabio, with the body too.
I almost shaved both sides of my head. Today it is known as an undercut.
I used to shave the back of my head from my ears down. Shaving the sides wouldn’t of been that much more extreme.
I just stuck to dying my hair instead.
@RiotDemon Which color?
@ELUNO @RiotDemon Purple, duh
/giphy purple hair
@compunaut @ELUNO unfortunately purple didn’t work great on my hair because I wasn’t willing to bleach it.
/image manic panic fuchsia shock
@RiotDemon I did all kinds of colors, but because I’m a guy, bleaching my hair before hand wasn’t an issue. My favorite was Manic Panic Pillarbox Red.
I’ll see about scanning some pictures when I get home today or tomorrow. It was a lot of fun.
Already rockin that man-bun. Have that long blonde surfer/hippie hair
@lilsrm123 You hide your Fabio?
@hchavers @lilsrm123 My hair is down to my butt and I always do the man bun. Best way to keep it untangled and out of the way.
As a kid who grew up with a mom-crafted bowl cut, I wished for a simple hair style. Anything that involved clippers instead of scissors.

Farrah Fawcett. Actually I liked Jaclyn Smith’s brunette hair more, but people are more likely to know Farrah. Personally I didn’t like her “wings”.
@katbyter As a teenager, I had that classic FF poster hanging in my bedroom, but I don’t remember paying much attention to her hairstyle.

Thank God, even the mullet is beating the man bun.
Dreadlocks should have been on the list.
I secretly wish I could pull off having a good hair day.
@TheCO2 my mom had a Flowbee when I was a kid. The repeated blows of the vacuum-suction-cutting machine banging into my head as my mother gave me a haircut was a regular occurrence in my childhood.
I got teased a lot.
@capguncowboy I thought I might want one, for about 10 seconds, until I remembered hair was suppose to be different lengths, on different parts of your head.
No one wanted the Flock of Seagulls hair?
/image flock of seagulls
you’re kidding me… right?
Had a mohawk twice and did pull it off. Once short and later long. Long is too much maintenance.

Belter.
Or maybe Zorg.
Or the James May?
I think that if I had a wig – I could pull that off.

(It was supposed to be a joke.)

@MagnaVis
Anybody ever tell you how much you used to look like Matthew Lillard? Zoinks!
@mtb002 Yes, actually, especially with the longer, straight hair. People called me Shaggy. Though, a lot of people think I look like a lot of people, so that’s not unusual.

I’ll take one of these please…

I pull off the woman bun most days.
I’ve always either wanted shiny black straight hair, or an afro. I have blondish wavy hair, so neither hairstyles are arriving on my head anytime soon. Sigh.
I’d like to stop it from looking like 80s perm hair. Or woman-bun. Both of which I sport regularly.
Pixie cuts. They look so cute on other people, but I don’t have the face for it.

I wish I had a genetic alternative to baldness. No temporary or surgical solutions.
@rtjhnstn Yes! This is amazing!
What? No one wants a Trump comb over?
@Kidsandliz No one knows hair better than him.
@Kidsandliz @TheCO2 No one knows NO hair better than him?
The craziest hairstyle which I had was bright purple hair of medium length with shaved temples.
Bald, a la Persis Khambatta:
I wish I were so handsome that it wouldn’t make a difference what hairstyle I had.

The “Skrillex”, alas my hair is curly, so I just have one side shaved.
Bring back the Banana clip!!!
I found it cleaning out my dads house.
Ug, high school flashbacks. I got called Kwai Chang Caine, but it was likely this:
Definitely not this:
In any case, it was cluelessness, not a fashion statement.
not going bald sounds pretty sick
Flat top.
None of these. This should have been a worst hair style poll. And man bun had better win.
