conversation starter for drugs and addiction; that’s not some freaky meth scare tactic that allows one to disassociate saying “I would never go that far.”
@unkabob I'll go ahead and stop taking my prescription thyroid meds and we'll see how long I live. Not ALL prescribed medications are poison or bad. Broad generalizations make you look like a walking megaphone.
@Thumperchick .. Did you read anywhere in my post that said I thought or I was trying to convince anyone that meds were poison or even bad? I didn't think so.. What I said (and I'll repeat for those who have chips on their shoulders).. pharmaceuticals are just as habit forming as any other drug. That your meds are helping you live is commendable but once you start taking them then you must continue. Illegal drugs (not pot which isn't a drug) is unnecessary where perscription drugs are but as far as them having a basic link.. it is that they are habit forming. Do not stop taking your meds just to prove me wrong as you will be the only loser in this quest. Now, to clear the air.. I apologize to you if I caused you any anxieties over what I believe is a truth. As far as a walking megaphone.. I in no way made you read my post, that was your choice. Criticize my words if you choose, not my character..
@unkabob Without watching the video or other supporting context, your comment is awfully close to conspiracy-talk, making it easy to disregard out of hand.
@unkabob I did watch the video and do understand the context. Unfortunately, the comment still came off as conspiracy tripe. If the real point is about the hypocrisy of Big Pharma being legal and marijuana being illegal, then there is a better point to be made, one that takes more than 2 sentences. I also never criticized your character. I said your words made you look like a walking megaphone. Not that you were in any way lacking character or intelligence. To add something - if I never started taking those thyroid meds, I wouldn't be alive now, so your example is muddied.
@unkabob No, I didn't watch the video, but in answer to your question, yes - this big pharma employee does take their own medicine. I take our thyroid product daily. I took one of our anti-inflammatories when I tweaked my knee (40+ year olds should not Zumba.) I take one of our antibiotics when I'm sick.
@bluedog .. I consider you muddled in taking my comment so personally serious. I believe I can get this much criticism on political forums, I had no idea I could be slapped on a fun forum.. I think I'll just go home now and find a more fun place to play.
This is a great illustration of addiction cycle.
Very intriguing. At first I thought you said meh scare tactic. I hope it never goes that far.
That made me sad. :(
That is great. Thanks for posting it!
Lovely and sad.
Very sad :'(
So sad..
Wake up people.. Prescription drugs do the same thing. Ask big pharma if they take their own medicine.

@dashcloud ... Thank you, end of story.

I love my Xanax. I don't take it very often, only when I feel the rage coming on.....
