To all those who are taking final exams this week or next best of luck. To all the Grad Students administering and grading final exam I feel your pain.
@Kidsandliz who needs a life outside the lab and campus? If you have enough time to study, you have time to be doing work for the glory of your advisor!
@awilkey as a grad student I do not take exams I get the privilege of writing two 50 page research papers that are due the week of exams. I’d take a multiple guess exam any day.
I was with my friend yesterday who teaches on campus here (full professor and everything), and he had to rush off after lunch to give a final early to a student. The student started the final at 1, but my friend didn’t start writing the 4th part of the exam questions until the student was taking the first 3 parts and got the final part out right in time for the student to work on it.
So to all the students out there doing last minute cramming, your professor might still be writing the test!

@medz I am far from a fellow kid, heck I have kids 7 years from college and if I am lucky I should be done with my doctorate before they start.
Or better yet, us doomed grad students both sitting exams and grading them! The paper stacks, they never end.
