@jbartus Let them enjoy this moment. We would expect to have the same. Though as Boston fans we might not get it. But we would still celebrate. And I love to see first time winners.
@FroodyFrog nobody was talking about football, I was simply making an observation about the fact that any team, looked at with sufficient scrutiny, could be accused of malfeasance, the link just happened to relate to football teams. (I don’t have one handy for Basketball)
@mfladd I suppose that’s fair, virgins deserve to enjoy their first time.
Oh… and we’d definitely not get it but… golden rule and all.
@DMlivezey you just want to get me blamed for things, don’t you?
INB4 @mfladd goes on about how if I had mentioned to someone who lives in Maryland that I was staying the night in Philadelphia we could have met up for cheesesteaks…
@FruityFraug@froodyfrog, I bet if you were both at the same party, at the same time, it would be really hard to tell you apart, and people would just be mixing up your names all night, that is, if it was a night time party
I’m not a LeBron fan personally, mostly because I’m a diehard Mavs fan and the disrespect he showed Dirk in the 11’ Finals pissed me off. But I will say that I’m happy for him today.
I can’t imagine the amount of emotions going through him. It has to be an incredibly unbelievable feeling to bring back a championship to your home. No matter what happened in the past, the fact is he did it. And nobody will ever be able to take that away from him.
@mfladd I’m the kind of idiot that will watch/listen to all or part of 162 Rangers games a year. Same goes for my Mavs, Stars, Cowboys and Longhorns. If I miss a game for one of my teams, something is probably wrong. Or the wife is making me do something. I have a slight sports problem.
I don’t even follow professional basketball but I am so happy for them! I love it when an underdog wins and I double love it for the whole “prodigal son returns” sort of story that LeBron gives it.
They’re also one of my bestie’s favorite teams so I’m so happy for him for finally getting a winner (he tends to like a lot of underdogs).
How quickly everyone has forgotten that the Lake Erie Monsters won the AHL Championship this very year. Cleveland is awash in professional championships!
(Cleveland’s Terminal Tower)
@FroodyFrog it might burn tonight. It looks to be crazy on the tube.
@jimmyd103
Congrats…it has been a long time coming!
(Congrats Cleveland!)
Congratulations, Cleveland!
@mfladd aren’t they cute? It must be exciting to only win a championship once every 50 years.
@jbartus @mfladd
Don’t forget legitimately. (Not that any team would ever dare cheat to win.)
@FroodyFrog @mfladd
I’m sure that if examined under a microscope some sort of alleged malfeasance could be concocted against them. After all… http://yourteamcheats.com/
@jbartus @mfladd
What does football have to do with this thread?
@jbartus Let them enjoy this moment. We would expect to have the same. Though as Boston fans we might not get it. But we would still celebrate. And I love to see first time winners.
@FroodyFrog No one ever brought up football.
@mfladd
@mfladd
What about this post? It’s not explicitly mentioned, yet it’s referencing it in a strong way.

@jbartus
Fair enough.
@mfladd I had a tab with that post still open, but I by mistake closed it.
@FroodyFrog @jbartus @mfladd have any of you met in person, ever?
i grew up in OH-IO, I was overjoyed tonight (or last night actually), and I give this a whole hearted Go Bucks!
/giphy "college cheer"
@DMlivezey @jbartus @mfladd
Each other? No.
I met @FruityFraug though. She’s a bit “strange”. But in a good way.
@DMlivezey you just want to get me blamed for things, don’t you?

@jbartus blame?
/giphy "who me?"
@DMlivezey no, me. Blamed by @mfladd.
@DMlivezey O-H…
@FroodyFrog
Who are you calling strange?
@jimmyd103 I-O!!!
@FruityFraug @froodyfrog, I bet if you were both at the same party, at the same time, it would be really hard to tell you apart, and people would just be mixing up your names all night, that is, if it was a night time party
@DMlivezey

@Kidsandliz isn’t there an REM song by that name?
@DMlivezey
I’m guessing @shawn could give the Cavs team shop some advice about how to take online orders.
@Kevin step 1: here’s how you render ASCII cows
@Kevin That was sooo close to goaltending.

@MEHcus Wade was the leader of that little effort; no surprise for the NBA’s original flopper. Bron did himself few favors following that poor example
@compunaut Needless to say, my disdain for that guy is rather high. He’s likely on my Mount Rushmore of sports enemies.
@MEHcus I like that you have sports hate. It makes it fun.

1 million people are supposed to be downtown for the parade tomorrow. I work downtown. I will not be coming to work.
