@guybrush01@yakkoTDI, the comments posted on my device are more like a Text style message, rather than a Voice type mail, but I liked your unique & very original reply!! Where did you ever come up with such a witty remark??
I’m looking for a bluetooth speaker but I don’t think this is the one I want… It’s tempting though. I’d prefer one that lasts 12 hours (and sounds good).
I got one of these from SideDeal (because coupon) to replace the portable Alexa I had for the patio. Haven’t fully set it up yet, it’s not really patio season, but the sound using Bluetooth is not bad, about what you’d expect from a $40-50 speaker.
Comparing it to Bose, Sonos, or UE Boom… well, I expect a lot more at those prices. This isn’t going to fill my yard with sound and I wouldn’t pay $130 for it, but at this price, it seems solid. Basically, for the price of a Dot you get Alexa with improved sound.
If you REALLY don’t care what the speaker sounds like, OK. This one looks great. But that’s a weird scenario, and if you care whether the speaker actually sounds decent, pass this one right on by. It doesn’t. It’s an expensive, cool cabinet with no evident audio engineering. Too bad. I wanted it to sound as good as it looks.
My daughter is struggling with the power button taking several attempts to work. Is this normal for this product. I have a JBL that turns on peered fly every time. I think I got rare bad buy from meh:(
@raysayaction I have speakers that require you to hold the button for a certain length of time. Too short it doesn’t turn on. Too long and maybe it decides you’re trying to find a new connection. Or maybe it turns itself back off. IS IT TOO DAMN MUCH TROUBLE TO PUT A SLIDING SWITCH ON THESE STUPID THINGS?

Oh just what I don’t need.
@Felton10, That’s What She Said!!
At least it uses USB-C
@eeterrific I was thinking the same thing.
Maverick? I’m holding out for Iceman.
That is a sleek looking speaker
@Stallion, I just wonder how loud the speaker, or speakers are! Forget Alexa, I need more cow bells,…or rather, more volume!!

It IS sexy, however the Amazonian reviews indicate the sound is awful…a pig with lipstick
Fancy! But it is a speaker dock. So Meh!

Does it still work if you don’t have Alexa? Ie can it play what’s playing on my iPhone 6s or laptop?
Both app reviews are horrible. Limits it to BT only.
30+ positive 4-star reviews on Amazon. 10 legit complainers about the sound quality.
I have used mine for a couple days now, I would definitely purchase another for this price if I could. The sound/$ is better than I expected.
I’ve used mine in bt only and it’s much better than the shitty soundcore I replaced. If only because it connects every time I want it to.

That’s my rant for the day.
