Can I purchase from Canada?
1I want to but today’s item, but I don’t think I can. I have a US shipping address, but a Canadian billing address. The form to enter billing address doesn’t accept 6 characters for postal code or Canadian province abbreviations.
Has anyone found a way to purchase from Canada?

buy a US prepaid visa/master/amex card and use that
i used a prepaid amex card for my fuku
@communist's solution is a much better one than the one international buyers have to use- a freight forwarder who will provide you with a US address.
Here's a list of freight forwarders from previous times this question has been asked:

@dashcloud I have a US location to ship to. The problem is I can’t enter a Canadian billing address, and the billing address has to match by credit card.
@leftnotracks I totally had an implementation of Canadian billing addresses all ready to go and then pulled back from it out of fear that there might be some currency exchange fees our customers wouldn't be expecting. Would you like to try it out at some point?
@shawn Just make sure you point out on the checkout that you are billing in US currency, and be done with it. Those who are in the know have US Dollar credit cards (with Canadian billing addresses).
@shawn why is this not implemented yet? I have a wellsfargo visa with US dollars and a US mailing address but my billing address is Canadian and I can't enter my postal code (zipcode)
@shawn Is this planned for the future at all?
@poperov Because when you roll out a change that you think could impact the support team, you think twice about the value of that change to company.
@shawn
i am >1k miles from Canada, but hope you do this. Some of us may wanna move there soon even if the entire country is all on fire.
[to Canadians: sympathies!]
@shawn
I'm just tagging you since it seems to be the latest trend.
@shawn Any further motion on this? You’d think it wouldn’t be too big of a change since you’re just using stripe as a backend. We canadians are aware of what we’re getting into when we use reshipping / US services.
I thought NAFTA was gonna solve all this.
Haven't had a problem in all my purchases here using a U.S. shipping address with a non-US credit card.
Have you tried going through a Google account or Amazon?
Alright, alright. Give Canada billing addresses a shot. Now available in “beta” mode. If it doesn’t work, you know who to blame (I bet Canadians just love that joke).
Canada billing addresses only. We’re not supporting shipping to Canada.

@shawn still only shipping in the US though, right?
@Thumperchick right, still only shipping to US. i’ll update post to clarify.
@shawn I’m kind of scared to break my existing set up that is working quite swimmingly… But I’ll risk it… For you… But more importantly… FOR SCIENCE!
@curtise
@shawn I see you can now select a country in the buy now section, but not in the My Account Payment Settings. And I really don’t want to buy those mugs today.
Also, it probably goes without saying, but can you please confirm 100% that you will continue to bill in US Dollars on my US Dollar card? (the worst is when I shop on a US site that bills my US card in Canadian Dollars at an inflated exchange rate and then my US Dollar card charges me an inflated exchange rate back into US Dollars)
Thanks for looking out for us crazy Canucks!
@shawn NO NO NO NO! Thumbs down… now I have to contend with more people when trying to get a fuko? Ok… fine… there better be a speaker dock on sale next week though…
@sohmageek I’m already getting ALL your Fukobukuros!!! This just makes the billing cleaner, in theory.
@curtise check out morningsave.com and see if there’s anything you want?
@Thumperchick I was on there yesterday, as a matter of fact. I decided against both the date rape drug detector and the Gleam on the Go body radiance cream…
@Thumperchick how did I never hear of this site?
Not that I want anything being sold there right now but…
@shawn Wow, and in time to make today’s deal too with my travel mugs, I will show EVERYONE! THEY’LL SEE!!!
(seriously, thanks though! That was amazing!)
@jbartus you know you want the Gleam on the Go.
@curtise
@curtise you’re just a bit ahead of me. working on those account pages now but wanted to push this out to meh.com right away in case we sell out of these Contigo 16oz West Loop 2.0 Autoseal Travel Mugs soon.
@Thumperchick I have been looking a mite bit pale lately.
@shawn I am exactly one hour ahead of you. (unless you have moved)
ps. if they were Contigo 20oz West Loop 2.0 Autoseal Travel Mugs, I would have seriously considered it. I have too may 16oz containers as it is, however.
I think the easy solution is for the United States to absorb Canada…then when Quebec cries about having to speak English, we can send in the troops.
@densa Still trying hard for that Manifest Destiny thing, eh?
@curtise
Canadians have guns?
@FroodyFrog Worse…their kids with guns. Very dangerous.
@densa will have to wait until we run out of lumber before we liberate canada
@thismyusername Ahh, but Canada has oil. Not easy to get to, but it’s still oil.
